Our 15 acres butts up against some BLM land offering more terrain to explore in the buff. When you’re done exploring, cool off with a skinny dip in our 16’ x 32’ above ground pool. Or just lounge in the sun and work on your tan.

It all started in 1965…
When this campground hosted its first guests the goal back then was simply to offer folks from around the Four Corners a place to relax and lounge along the Animas River.
Today, the property boasts 73 quality RV sites, 24 cabins and 6 tent sites. We also have a heated pool, playground, convenience store, retail shop, game room, café with a large deck for dining, laundry room, paved roadways, two bath houses, and an observation deck overlooking the Animas.
The property sits just south of Bakers Bridge, a local landmark made famous as the set of the climactic finale in the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” – where Paul Newman and Robert Redford sat along the rocky cliffs that line the river before they famously took the plunge.
As the lifeblood of this community, the Animas River winds its way under that bridge and south toward historic downtown Durango. Everyone from whitewater enthusiasts and acclaimed fly fisherman to laidback locals in inner tubes enjoy the same flowing mountain waters miners have tapped for more than a century.
Back in 1965, the population of Durango was just over 10,000 and La Plata County almost 20,000. Today, the city itself is home to 20,000 residents while the county is closing in on a staggering 58,000.

The Lavender farm was just the medicine I needed on my cross country trip. From the moment I arrived I was greeted and felt like i was the most special guest they had. The photos on their website do not do justice to the beautiful environment they created. The stagecoach that I stayed in was super cool and had everything I needed. Breakfast was fantastic too. I had the opportunity to work the farm for several hours and had a great time. Travis, Katie, Annie and Clay are amazing hosts. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. Looking forward to bringing my wife back next year.

A most magical, beautiful farm with lovely humans and Chaco the sweetest boy dog. The wagon was well appointed- we could live there happily as it is roomy, practical and peaceful. And the breakfasts- every day was another wonderful meal made with care and consideration, better than any restaurant for sure, thanks to Annie and Clay. Off a beautiful scenic dirt road in the forest valley. Very thoughtful campground and clear the owner has gone through much trouble and time to make it a cozy campers destination with access to a sink, outdoor space, and showers. It is fun just to explore around the site or relax by the babbling creek… Incredible host who is attentive to making sure you have what you need and highly recommend!

This was a beautiful spot! Definitely recommend checking out the amenities. From the kitchen to the showers, they’re all clean and purposeful. The host was friendly and invited us to attend an event on the grounds. The site has delightful artistic flair, and it is also practical and well maintained. Not to mention the complementary cucumber lemon water was a special treat in the desert! We would love to stay here again in the future!

Jake's camp was perfect for my weekend. The site says it has a "rinse station" but it's a full on shower - don't let them fool you!
The location was perfect for access to Phil's World biking. And Jake had great recommendations for my level of experience.
I will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Lavender Farm Bed and Breakfast
10/10!!! The lavender wagon was adorable, comfy, and had everything we needed. Travis and Katie are amazing and kind hosts. A perfect distance from a bunch of fun activities. Breakfast in the morning was so delicious and a great way to start off the day. We will be back!!

This was a very enjoyable Hipcamp experience. DeDe and Kevin were gracious hosts and I greatly enjoyed chatting with them in their nice pool patio area. There is a vehicle track that extends from their property about 1/2 mile into BLM land for a nice quiet hike. I parked my trailer in their pull through RV parking area which has a turf pad for each RV site. The ground is soft, and some balancing is needed so be sure to bring wide trailer leveling blocks. I was the only camper during my visit, so had the pick of camp spots. Overall excellent experience!
