Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. If you pack it in, please pack it out! There is one solar powered extension cord outlet to charge or power small devices as sun allows and we have a composting pit toilet with small changing tent over it for privacy, please use ash from bucket to cover your poop, BYO-TP. Plenty of firewood from the woods to burn if wind is low or nonexistent. Dispersed camping is anywhere in the forest, hike in from the parking areas but please don't get lost! We can show you a few spots to choose from when you arrive based on your wants. We can accommodate large parties of campers. Nudity is allowed anywhere on site from the creeks to the parking lot and surrounding forests but not directly on our shared driveway before warning signs or close to neighbors yards
Neighbors have an animal sanctuary so you may hear roosters, horses, etc.

The Pond on The Hillside is open to guests for swimming or skating at the case may be.

Hikers are welcome to wander along old logging roads through our sugarbush, and along trails throughout the remainder of the property (300+ ac. total) where there are numerous springs and creeks, mystical softwoods, expansive grassy fields, and a wild apple orchard. Moose, deer, and bear tracks are common, but animal encounters are not - still, please sequester your food accordingly and be mindful to carry out scraps or place them in lidded containers provided.

We are excited to offer this amazing tipi camping experience on our working horse property. The tipi design is the basic Sioux design, and the makers of our tipi were chosen to provide ALL the tipis for the movie "Dances with Wolves," because of their respect for authenticity and excellent craftsmanship.
The tipi is 18' W x 15' H. Inside is roughly 16' diameter and 13'2" high. It has a 6' entrance with zipper door and mosquito mesh. There is mosquito netting around the top smoke flaps and a critter guard mesh that covers the bottom circumference edge where the tipi and floor meet. To keep things warm on those chilly nights or take out the crisp morning air, there is a small wood pellet stove inside. There is a queen size futon and plenty of space to sleep on the floor with your own sleeping bags or cots. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. The campsite setup is a mixture of Indian and Cowboy western culture. It has a dining area close to the tipi with a picnic table. You can relax at the fire pit area beside the Kampfire Cauldron (hand made on site!) and enjoy cookouts, campfires, and great conversations with friends and family while listening to the calm waters of Giles brook a few feet away. Firewood is included in your stay. An outhouse is also located nearby, so you don't have too entirely "rough it". Potable water can be provided if you did not bring your own. Nestled on the shoulder of Mount Cabot (4180'), our hillside yurt has a stunning vista of the Connecticut River Valley, with Mt. Lafayette to the south and the Green Mountains to the west. Decompress with a hot outdoor shower and cook over the outdoor firepit as the sun blazes toward the horizon, and look up through the yurt's skylight as you revel in spacious night among the stars. The yurt is grid-powered, the stars aren't.
Note: Our wood-fired hot tub takes 48 hours notice for us to make it perfectly hot for you, so please reach out to book it before you arrive!
For an even more immersive nature experience, The Orchard on Apple Hill road is ready for your tent or hammock, along with an outdoor kitchen, two hot showers and compost toilets, picnic tables and firepit, and propane cooking burners. The Orchard's solar kit can charge your equipment and boil a kettle for your hot morning cup.
The Pond on The Hillside is open to guests for swimming or skating at the case may be.
Firewood is included with all sites, so please don't travel with firewood as it's a great way to transport forest-devastating invasive insects.
Hikers are welcome to wander along old logging roads through our sugarbush, and along trails throughout the remainder of the property (300+ ac. total) where there are numerous springs and creeks, mystical softwoods, expansive grassy fields, and a wild apple orchard. Moose, deer, and bear tracks are common, but animal encounters are not - still, please sequester your food accordingly and be mindful to carry out scraps or place them in lidded containers provided.

We are excited to offer this amazing tipi camping experience on our working horse property. The tipi design is the basic Sioux design, and the makers of our tipi were chosen to provide ALL the tipis for the movie "Dances with Wolves," because of their respect for authenticity and excellent craftsmanship.
The tipi is 18' W x 15' H. Inside is roughly 16' diameter and 13'2" high. It has a 6' entrance with zipper door and mosquito mesh. There is mosquito netting around the top smoke flaps and a critter guard mesh that covers the bottom circumference edge where the tipi and floor meet. To keep things warm on those chilly nights or take out the crisp morning air, there is a small wood pellet stove inside. There is a queen size futon and plenty of space to sleep on the floor with your own sleeping bags or cots. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. The campsite setup is a mixture of Indian and Cowboy western culture. It has a dining area close to the tipi with a picnic table. You can relax at the fire pit area beside the Kampfire Cauldron (hand made on site!) and enjoy cookouts, campfires, and great conversations with friends and family while listening to the calm waters of Giles brook a few feet away. Firewood is included in your stay. An outhouse is also located nearby, so you don't have too entirely "rough it". Potable water can be provided if you did not bring your own. Weekend Trip to Streeter Mountain Farm
Great place with great people. They have the cutest cats as well. Make sure you read the directions/details of the site before you go so you know what you’re signing up for.
The furnace had some mild venting issues but we were able to get it going pretty warm and toasty. The farm itself is beautiful—it was nice to get away from the city and enjoy slow life and nature. 10/10 trip

What an incredible adventure getting to stay in the Magik Cabin! Nick was kind enough to bring our stuff up via snowmobile so we could snowshoe up with our dogs. It was a beautiful, easy walk and well worth it. The cabin is such a cool place with so much to see and great views. We were nervous about being warm but it was -6 degrees at night and we were VERY toasty with the wood stove. The sauna and cold plunge is also a must!

Beautiful spot to camp along the river during winter! We were there on New Year's Day 2026 for an overnight under the almost-full-moon, and our last-minute booking was gratefully accommodated.
We hauled our camping gear to the site a quarter of a mile downhill in backpacks and a sled we brought, plus another sled that was provided. We used the not-so-air-tight nor squirrel-free spacious Tent on the Platform with the wood stove that I fed throughout the night in the 9°F windy weather. I recommend bringing individual Sleeping Pads to insulate over the air mattresses and under your own high-pile sleeping bag. Our group had also brought a tent to experience real winter camping and it was nice to have the glamping set up just in case. The stove did smoke at first as they do that, but once it was going it was great. I set my alarm clock for every hour to check it.
The outdoor kitchen and fire pit was used to heat water for our meals, warm drinks, clean up, and to fill water bottles for warmth inside sleeping bags. During cold months and summer nights, bring enough fire starting materials to get things going multiple times in the cold and maybe wet conditions. The toilet situation was sufficient (carry-out) and the river's cascading riffles were heard throughout the night.
It was a magical place to be in nature during winter surrounded by snow and ice! I highly recommend a visit here any time of year in one of the tents provided or at a regular tent site, all along the river.

Nick is so great! We stayed on 12/20 at the Magick Cabin Adventure. It was so fun and cozy and a perfect weekend getaway. When we got there he offered to dive our stuff up on his snow mobile since it had snowed. Told us the story of what inspired him to build the Magick Cabin and it was so fun! I love how interactive the experience was. And Nicks ability to use every inch of space in that cabin was incredible. You can tell he put his all into it and all the tiny details. Was incredible to see. The best part was Chaga, his dog, he stayed up at the cabin all night making it feel super safe. He is very friendly and our 3 dogs loved him.

We had a wonderful time at the Magick Cabin! We booked the cabin for a weekend get away with the dogs, but never expected to have an “escape room” experience with the puzzles and clues Nick designed into the cabin. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun staying in the cabin and trying to solve the puzzles Nick thoughtfully integrated throughout the cabin!
We stayed on a cold night, but between sleeping bags and keeping the fire going, the cabin was warm throughout the night. Overall, we found the cabin to be cozy and inviting. There were sitting areas with beautiful view not to far from the cabin and the out house is a short walk. Chago checking up on us throughout the night was extremely precious and cemented the stay as a great experience.

We had such a great time at the yurt and exploring the property with our two dogs! Morgan did a great job of showing us everything we needed to know for our stay. The yurt itself is absolutely beautiful and truly makes you feel like you’re sleeping in nature. The location that they chose to build the yurt provides an amazing view of the mountains right out the front window. We opted to use the wood-fired hot tub while we were there and it was a fantastic experience. Although the wood stove was out of commission during our stay, the space heaters that were provided were more than enough to keep the yurt toasty, even during the cold late November nights. We would gladly come back again!

Jody and Keith’s site was beautiful. The stove in the tent kept it cozy throughout the autumn night. They provided a garden cart to transport our things which was helpful. The air mattress was as comfortable as an air mattress can be. Jody and Keith recommended that we bring lights, since we were arriving after sunset, but we foolishly overestimated the power of our phone flashlights. So definitely bring a few lanterns. I would definitely stay again. It was beautiful by the river.

beautiful, restful, only bring what u can carry down a bumpy, rocky, hilly half mile, bring water, wood, lights. my dog and i were very content. the heater wood stove was hard to figure out, glad it wasn't colder. the latrine situation was also confusing. i was not prepared to pack out my trash, sadly. I'll be better prepared when we come again, maybe for a few days next time.
