Camping here is low activity experience as in there is hiking up in the National Forest or just hanging out in your camp site, or bring your camera, notebook and binoculars, or road bike.
When you come to camp here you are on a farm in transition. Girlfarm has been a local food go to for restaurants, farm family members, and regenerative agriculture interests. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes.

Tiny home nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe but away from the chaos.
Host lives on property with 4 year old German shepherd. I typically leave for the weekend, however i will probably be there if booking during the week (Ill be gone most of the day though) . There are 4 neighbors but their properties are not visible, feels very private. Please be respectful of the neighbors property, they all have cameras :)
The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend.
Tiny house:
•Full sized futon downstairs, no bedding provided please bring your own if planning on using the futon.
• King sized mattress in loft. Bedding provided but please try to bring your own!!
• board games , cards, chess, fire pit, projector for movies if requested!!!

Bright Bear Camp is a private two-acre property bordering Tahoe National Forest. We are located at 4300' elevation down a mostly dirt road along the beautiful Bear River and Bear Valley. This is a very peaceful spot among the trees with a small meadow and creek on the property.

Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet. Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th.
The road on the property is a dirt road. All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer
The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section. There is one walk-in site at the top of the property.
There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles.

Welcome to Slate Mountain where you have access to 160 acres of gated, private wilderness with 360 degree mountain views and exclusive waterfront on Slab Creek.
There are two choices of sites to camp: At Site 1 you can park an RV or pitch a tent where you have access to a picnic table, fire pit, vault toilet, and amazing sunset views. At Site 2 you can pitch a tent and have access to a picnic table, fire pit, rocking chairs, and a hammock.
Bring your hiking boots or your off-road toys and explore 160 acres of secluded forest filled with wildflowers, butterflies, ancient Pines and Cedars, wild berries, and wild game. Spend the day relaxing, picnicking, and try your luck at gold panning on pristine Slab Creek where not a single human or road exists for miles. Bring your paddle boards and kayaks and spend an afternoon at Stumpy Meadows, a beautiful mountain reservoir a 25 minute drive from the property. Apple Hill wineries and farms are a 40 minute drive. If you bring the off-road toys you also have access to miles of trails throughout hundreds of acres of national forest. Don’t feel like cooking? Smoke on the Water restaurant at Finnon reservoir in Swansboro is a quick 20 minute drive from the property. If you need supplies, a nice restaurant, or a day of wine tasting to break up the grit, downtown Placerville and Georgetown are both a 45 minute scenic drive.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) To get the most out of your experience, we highly recommend a 4WD or vehicle, ATVs or eBikes.
2) The creek is at the bottom of the canyon, 1.5 miles from the gate at the entrance, and the road down is very steep and lined with blackberry bushes. We highly recommend an off-road vehicle/ATV or eBikes for easy access to creek.
3) Be aware you are in the middle of the forest and wildlife such as bear, mountain lions, rattlesnakes, and tics have been spotted on the property. Poison Oak is also common.
4) The property has cell service in the upper quadrant, however once you drop below the tree line toward the creek there is no service.
5) We highly recommend bringing a chainsaw or hatchet. There is an abundance of dead wood on the property that can be gathered for camp fires. Trees also occasionally fall on the trail which can impede access to the creek.

I loved tent camping at Finnon! The view of the lake was beautiful, next time I would love to be right next to the lake. We were at site B8, which was in the middle of the campground next to the bathrooms, but we still had a great time. The bathrooms were clean and the site was pretty big. It was pretty loud when trying to sleep (loud teens, bullfrogs, and loud birds), but that didn’t take away from the experience. Would go again!

I loved camping on Jane’s land, it was a very nice little Homie feeling for a vacation that was far from home. The pie shop was absolutely to die for. We had a tough time picking out which one of the pies because all of them sounded so delicious. The campsites were amazing, it provided us with so much space. I would say the best part about it All was the communal fire pit. The fire pit has an amazing view of the stars at night and it was lovely experience to see it.

Very nice secluded campground. Several waterfront sites. Even the sites in the inner campground are good sites. Very clean bathrooms. Firewood available for sale at campground. Can get very noisy if multiple tents with children in one site are occupied. Water was perfect to swim in while we were there. I would definitely camp here again!

They’ve got the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever found at a campsite, the lake is super close and relatively warm, the restaurant wasn’t open this time but I’ve been before and I’d recommend skipping it and just campfire cooking. Super awesome camp site 10/10

Kelley is hands down the most nice and hospitable campsite host I’ve ever had! Highly recommend staying here, we were getting a little tore up by mosquitos, but Kelley let us use a thermocell gadget that helped a lot with them. This area is gorgeous with plenty of hikes and things to do. All the amenities were really nice to have at the site as well. Thanks Kelley!

Jane has a great property and the cutest pie shop, you pick flowers and friendly space. We camped as a group of 6 in site 1 - not a lot of shade, and quite exposed as it’s just apple trees but lots of room for activities and the proximity to the communal fire pit and restrooms was perfect.

Had a great time at this location. We only stayed one night but had a lovely time. Campsite 4 is tilted as most other reviews mention, but there are some flat sections you can set up your tent so it wasn't a big deal. It's also the most secluded which we really enjoyed.

We love this spot! Incredible view, super private, easy access to the water with an easy, short and steep hike back up to the camp spot. We were there over the 4th of July, and it was still quiet and mellow. Lots of boats on the water but still peaceful at our site. We could even see the fireworks in Virginia City! (25mi away) We towed our 24ft travel trailer to he spot with a 4x4 Toyota Tundra and didn't have any issues. There's a couple steep spots on the drive in, and a 24ft trailer is pretty close to max length that I'd want to tow up to the campsite. Again, no issues at all for us getting up there. Fantastic spot!

The area is so beautiful and it was really lovely to be surrounded by so much quiet over the 4th of July weekend, something my dog really appreciated as well. A great site for a group of friends. We didn't hear a lot of other people, and no one was bothered by us. Good amount of shade in the camping areas for the hot days, but clearing in group area for sun. We had plenty of room, and it was only about a 15 minute walk to the lake, and a 10 minute drive. Sink and portapotty were clean and well maintained. Host was in touch with us right away and asked us to let them know if we needed anything, but otherwise left us to our own. Overall, a great site that we'll likely come back to!

We really enjoyed this site. We stayed at A10 - very close to the bathrooms/potable water, but not very private. In the future I would stay at one of the lakeside spots. We paddle boarded from the day use area, which had a nice little “beach” area where my son could dig and play with his trucks. Bathrooms were very clean.
