Exceptional Stay, Amazing Host

I had an excellent stay at Cooks Station Campground. Chris was an exceptional host & made my stay above and beyond what I expected it would be, wished I could have stayed longer. Check-in was at one of the two fifth wheels behind the restaurant. Site 10 was perfectly level side to side, easy in & out. There were plenty of trails right from the campground, which was nice, just be aware of the wildlife presence. Saw a bear & fox the first night & 2 smaller bears further into the woods. Utilities do get shut off around 9, because they run off a generator, which wasn't an issue. Only concern was getting in & off CA-88, people fly on that portion & it is kind of a blind turn, just FYI. Thank you again for a lovely stay! Hope out paths cross again in the future!

Hosts were very accommodating and shower and laundry were the best out of all the sites we visited during our camping trip. Really enjoyed the history of the site as well and the restaurant/saloon for breakfast.

Small and simple in terms of amenities, but the host Chris is truly a host: watches out for you and gives good tips on local activities. There’s lots to do in the area for a long weekend. Don’t count on the WiFi though and cell signal is limited. If you want to disconnect, this is for you.
