Eventually to add to your camping experience, ive got plans for some off grid cabins and an earthship. In addition to camp spots, ai would like to make a little prayer area in the woods with some benches and a big cross. We hope to have a trail cut and cleared for a small hike soon. The plans for Dotson acres is to also sell chainsaw carvings and other things I weld, sculpt or create. Plant starts and garden produce, chicken eggs and any other creative ways we can find to help fund our dream of being together doing what we love instead of going to a normal job to make someone elses dreams come true. Not far away you can visit Mark Twain National Forest, Montauk State Park, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum to name a few. Roughly 40 minutes off I44 at rolla and 20 minutes ftom hwy 60 just 2 hours to branson and springfield. Walmart and fast food are just 10 minutes away. We are new to the area but there are other lakes, trails and stuff to do close. Lots of flea markets and antiques stores close by to go explore. Located on a small private lane there are a few quiet neighbors. There is a parking area to access trail by walk in, though we are trying to make it vehicle accessable. Our first spot is able to fit a small van camper or a pickup with a small box camper though its pretty tight. 4x4 may be needed. We appreciate your reviews on hipcamp and google. Van Buren River Fun RV & Campsites opened for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 with a sold out campground! It was an awesome experience to see the beautiful Eclipse!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a ton of fun! This campground is unique because it comes with private access to 1 mile of river access at Shote Hole Bluff there's a shallow gravel bar for swimming, lounging in the sun in your chair, cooking out, a boat dock, you can set up a canopy for the day and have fun in the sun in the pristine crystal clear gorgeous spring fed Current River! The RV and camp sites have access to a potable water spigot, a porta potty all season long from May 24th through September 3rd, a sewer dump site and the RV and campsites have their own fire rings. The river is directly across the road from the campground. This is the quietest campground that is close to the river and it is very close to Van Buren. It is a rare luxury to have walking access to the Current River. Please contact us with any questions - seasonal rates being May 31, 2024 through Labor Day, September 3, 2024.

Teresa was a great host! She sent me very clear directions to her land before we arrived. When we got there, she welcomed us and told us the best restaurants in the area and sites to see and answered any questions we had. She offered free firewood. Her land was right off the main highway, but had minimal traffic noise. It was just a few miles away from big Spring, a must see!

Me and my girlfriends had an amazing trip at Arcadia Vally! We were worried about the campsites being too close but we were not interrupted by any of the other noise. To anyone staying, I highly recommend this campsite over the others in the area! Lots of room for a big tent and even trees very suitable for a hammock. One thing I would like to mention, the road is gravel on the way to the campsite. Be aware if your vehicle is not suitable on rougher terrain.

This place couldn’t have been better for our small group of campers. Highly recommend, hot tub, sauna and bathrooms were all very nice comforts while “roughing it”. There was ample space between campsites to make the place feel private. Great hiking trails on property with a beautiful lake to watch the sunset. Thank you AVO for a great setting for a weekend away from the city.

AVO was awesome. We stayed at the 1st Place campsite and loved the layout of area. The tent pad was fairly flat and located a nice distance from the fire pit. I also appreciated that the site had its own dedicated trail leading to the showers and restrooms. AVO offers free kayaks for use in the Shepherd Mountain reservoir, which are definitely worth a try. I didn't try the hot tub or sauna, but they looked like very neat amenities. We stayed during the off season, so there were very few fellow campers (none at all on Sunday night). Very nice. I only have mild criticisms. I recommend bringing your own fold-up grill plate. One was located at the campsite, but it was pretty rusty. Restrooms are pretty primitive but are kept relatively clean. However, the water for the sink ran empty and was never refilled. This may be maintained more consistently in the busy season though. In general, I would highly recommend this camp ground. I would love to stay here again.

Great location near Elephant Rocks and Pilot Knob Battle site/Fort Davidson. Firewood is available there for $5 a bundle (Honor System). Quiet, well kept, and they have free kayaks and paddles you can use on the lake adjacent to the campsites. Compost toilettes available. Great place to see some stars. 10/10 would recommend Terrarium and the campgrounds as a whole

A wonderful farm way off the road! Sites are wide with full hook ups. We only stayed one night on long haul across the country. Use google maps though, Apple Maps sends you the wrong direction! If your looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all there isn't a better place.
