The bones were found at a farm in Glennallen (a few minutes from our farm) as well as a great barbeque (Jay’s Restaurant) and a good catfish restaurant (Jers Restaurant). On the way to our farm, feel free to stop at the 1,700 foot deep artesian well to get a cool, refreshing jug of natural artesian well water – the water is free, but you have to bring your own containers!  We are two and a half hours southwest of St. Louis, and two and half hours northwest of Memphis.

Weekend Trip to Rocky Falls Campsite

We loved tent camping here! Very private and quiet. The view of the stars at night was spectacular. Firewood was all ready to go for us and within 15-30 minutes drive for all the hiking and outdoor activities we wanted to do. There were more things we wanted to explore just couldn’t find the time in two days! Definitely would love to come back

Weekend Trip to Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

I loved my time at Hawks Bluff Campground. I chose to camp further away from the main home and enjoyed ample privacy, firewood, and endless incredible sights. Definitely prepare yourself for ticks. If you stay at the sunset view campsite head down the slope straight from parking and you'll find a magical rock to take in the full valley. Follow the main trail down to the creek and enjoy the wildlife, fauna, and peace. I didn't use the kitchen facility onsite, but did enjoy a private hot shower that completely revived me after my hike.

This place is Awesome! If you’re into camping 5 yards from the river then this is the place for you. We camped here on Easter weekend so we had the entire place to ourselves. Harless was a great host and went out of his way to make sure we were safe and comfortable. There was a 3.5” rain in the middle the night and he was right there the next morning to warn us about the river rising and made sure we were safe. We ended up hooking up and leaving for the day to have lunch and antiquing and returned after the river went down to finish out the weekend. He even offered to refund our $ for the inconvenience! That’s one thing we love about booking through Hipcamp; you meet some of the nicest people and the camps are usually superior than any State Park or Forestry campground. We will be returning to this one.

Spring Lake Ranch is beautiful! The horses and goats were such a nice treat. Spot 5 did not work for us due to not having a long enough electric cord but we were able to switch to a different spot. We will definitely be back.

2 nights at Spring Lake Ranch

Everything went well!! It was our second visit and our first time of the season this year. We had problems getting our electric working right and they helped us figure that out. Then, they noticed our water was leaking a lot where we had it hooked up so they helped us fix that which made our water inside the camper flow better than it ever has. We also went horseback riding. It was a super fun time. Our horses were great and our guide, Jonathan, the owner, was awesome! Had a great time talking with him. Everyone tha we talked to was super nice! We will definitely be back!

I went camping on spring break with 6 of my friends, it was some of our first times camping and we loved it! The owner was very nice and communicative, the showers weren’t working while we stayed but that wasn’t a huge deal to us and he notified us in advance. Very secluded and peaceful! We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

Absolutely wonderful secluded camping, this place offers showers and all sorts of activities if you’re interested in that. While we didn’t do any extra activities the campsite alone had a wonderful view over the lake. We brought our own kayaks, but if need you can rent those at the office too! The fishing was absolutely fantastic. I caught more fish than I did all last summer in one trip. They’ll bite anything but I had the most luck on a swirl tail. We will definitely be back!
