This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven. The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available. The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail. But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam. Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic. The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis. There are surprises galore around the property; big foots to be found tucked around the property, games, and overall just a fun place to be. This was a run-down fishing cabin Jim and Maria lovingly brough back to life as a second home and they delight in sharing it. Jim often referred to it as "The Tincan" while working on it as it was - indeed, a tin shack and the name stuck. Oh man! What an amazing place. Great private spot, great host, very accommodating and friendly, would 100% stay here again. Definitely a back in site as advertised we had a 30 foot travel trailer. But It was not too bad to navigate. Concrete drive and level. Very quiet the whole week. Duck hunting season was happening during our visit so the mornings but I actually enjoyed listening to that in the morning while walking the dog. Great outdoors experience, quiet neighborhood

We just popped in for a quick night on our trip across the country. The place seemed perfect for us and was right off the highway. There's no sign for the driveway but the GPS basically takes you right to the entrance in case you're worried about driving into the wrong driveway like I was. Otherwise no issues and the host was promptly responsive.

We had a fantastic stay at this private campsite in Indiana with our two dogs. The spot was perfect—quiet, private, and equipped with full hookups. The host and her family were incredibly welcoming and even showed us how they make their delicious syrup, which we happily bought. The landscape was beautiful, with horses across the street and cornfields surrounding us. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommend!

If you’re a birder this is a good place to stay since it is quite brushy and borders the lake with woods across the road . We saw swans , Sandhill cranes, hummingbirds, warblers and many other kinds. Shawn was readily available and was very helpful.

Following my review on the main campsite, this one was a great addition for my larger group. Scott helped us back in our pop-up camper. There’s a few different ways to park your camper if it is similar to our pop-up. The extra site has its own picnic table and fire pit. Close enough to the main site to feel like you’re camping together, but far enough to feel private as well. Full hook-ups were available as stated in the listing. Would definitely recommend to larger groups!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a very pleasant experience at Forest Haven Camping. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful nature that made it easy to relax and unwind. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it truly felt like a little getaway from the busy city life. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were convenient and tidy. It’s also a wonderful place to bring a dog — plenty of space to walk, explore, and enjoy the outdoors together. Highly recommend.
