Llama Meadows Farm is a sixteen acre organic fruit and vegetable farm. We're a family peace farm. We have quiet time from 11 pm until 7 am. We have several games- bocce ball, badminton, frisbee, and a soccer ball.
The Hipcamp driveway is just south of our house, with a white Hipcamp sign directing you down the hill. Go slow through the trees and follow the road to the left, passing the Welcome Station, to access the sites
We don't mind a social drink or two, but we do not tolerate loud and drunken behavior. We ask all of our Campers to respect our sacred land and each other.
We have a beautiful bonfire patio with about 15 chairs. We also have a sink in our Welcome Station. For drinking or brushing teeth. Dishes are still washed in the dishwashing station. We have an instant hot water station as well as a charging station to charge your phones.
We have our pup Jazzy Bear on the site, who's the Hostess with the Mostest.
When the campsite is full, we do a group bonfire where everyone is invited to get to know each other.
We also have an artsy outhouse.
Located in Beautiful Benzie Country, in Northwestern Lower Michigan. We are one mile south of Crystal Lake and six miles east of Lake Michigan. Our-house is super insulated and passive solar. We had llamas for their wool and manure.
We retired from raising llamas, we had 12 they got old and moved on. We have around 50 fruit trees. The fruit we grow includes apples, pears, figs and paw paws. We also grow grapes, and kiwis, we also put in filberts, walnuts and pecans. We have a beautiful labyrinth peace garden.

We have another tiny house on the property. Each tiny house has its own privacy. They are located approx. 40 yards apart, separated by a piece of forest.
You will have the whole tiny house to yourselves. Enjoy the hammock, relax by a bonfire, enjoy the stars. We live on the property, not far away so are available if you have any questions, etc. We have a two night minimum stay. There is a book in the house full of info on our favorites...favorite place for breakfast, favorite beach, mt. bike, etc.
Other things to note:
We have a french press for making coffee and provide fair-trade coffee. I haven't been able to update the caption on our "outdoor shower-like structure"-this is a rinse station-perfect for cooling down on a hot day! We have an indoor shower and flush toilet. We are pet-friendly and have hosted many groups with dogs. There is a $20/per pet/per night fee, which will not be included in your total. Please leave this money before departure. We require pet owners to follow our pet policy. Inquire for a copy of it. We built our family home in the woods behind the tiny house. When leafed out, the trees protect the view but just want to make sure you are aware of this before you arrive. Before the leaves are out, you will see the house behind the tiny house.
We recently had to have some excavation work done so the area around the tiny house is in need of landscaping and time to re-grow vegetation. I will be working on this as soon as I can but just wanted to make sure you were aware before your arrival.

Hosting May 22 - mid/Oct My husband Dan and I purchased this property 6 years ago and have totally restored the land, home and barn from its prior condition. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana.
The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk.
Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor.
Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards, shops and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries.
There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes.
A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive.

We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat.
New this year is our chicken coop and run. We (Bill) has always wanted chickens.

You won't find a more peaceful, tranquil property to relax in and enjoy the wildlife. Only 1.3 miles into Manton with several bars and restaurants. Within 3 miles you are able to gain access to State property, the Manistee River, and Chase Creek.
From the trails in this area you can go as far as Houghton Lake and Fife Lake. Great area for hunting, fishing, four wheeling, dirt bikes, and hiking. This is a great getaway you don't want to miss out on!

Weekend Trip to pineleaf.
We had a wonderful time staying at Pineleaf! Our host, Tim, was very welcoming and hospitable. We stayed in the cabin. We woke up every morning to a great variety of birds and wildlife surrounding us, especially in the gorgeous field that the deck overlooked. The bed and outhouse bathroom were exceptionally clean. We highly recommend staying here and hope to come back soon!

We had a great time in the Avion at HillCrest! The location is perfect, close to lots of things to do but far away to feel secluded. The Avion itself was stocked with essentials and was the perfect cozy spot to hang out ant the end of the day. Dan and Bill were very welcoming hosts and have put a lot of time and love into their beautiful property. We look forward to planning an another trip!

Tims cabin is so awesome and relaxing. It's just you and nature. It's a little drive off grid on a little dirt road easily accessable for any vehicle. Tim make sure to help you in anyway. If it's all the stuff he stocks in the cabin just in case you forgot something, to offering you information on what there is to do close to camp. This was our fourth stay and it was only for one night. My wife and I were on the way home from the U.P. and needed some where to stay about half way. It was nice catching up with Tim ( who we consider a good friend ) I'm glad he's giving us a chance to enjoy his piece of paradise . Thanks again Tim!

Overall, it is a decent place to stay. It would be even better if the air conditioning effectively covered both rooms, the water heater (boiler) had enough capacity for more than three guests, and there was an additional bathroom to accommodate larger groups more comfortably.

My daughter and I loved the place! Peaceful getaway to slow down and take in the beautiful up north living. Clean, cute and perfect setup! There was a portable gas stove top, pans and utensils so we were able to pack lighter! Leah provides some lighting options which were great but if you plan to stay up late playing games, you may want to bring extra. Leah was great at answering these questions prior to the stay so we came prepared! Would highly recommend and will stay again for sure! Thank you again Leah!

We hope to get back to the Traverse City area (this was our first time) and we would absolutely return to Dan and Bill's HillCrest!
The best accommodations (all we needed to bring were our food and clothes!) Our RV (Maple Grove Catalina) had everything else we needed... even a Keurig with some pods, cocktail shaker, toaster, small blender, and I think there was also a pressure cooker and crockpot. Even a small dishwasher and washer/dryer combo!
Absolutely beautiful property!! Quiet, peaceful, just truly GREAT.
AND, Bill and Dan are genuinely very gracious and interesting hosts who care about the details. If we weren't 350+ miles away, we'd be inviting them over for dinner.

Carole and Art are amazing hosts and you can tell they put in extra thought and care to ensure their guests are comfortable and enjoy their time while staying at the cabin. My daughter and I along with our dog spent most of our time outside, cooking over the fire, exploring, and just enjoying the time away as a family. Overall, it was pretty nice and quiet but a couple things I would have liked to have known where there wasn’t any electricity, but they give you a pretty big battery pack for charging your phone. I also got 1-2 bars of cell service, it was slow but worked for texting and calling. A perk is definitely that they give you all the cooking tools but pots and pans so I had no problem making food. I didn’t see any critters, but there were lots of slugs, mosquitoes and spiders. It’s about a five minute walk to the farthest campsite, windy but not very hilly and a mulch path. The showers are heated, but it’s outdoors so you have to prepare for mosquitoes while you’re showering. If it isn’t pouring rain, the humidity inside the yurt isn’t that bad obviously. I’m 22 so the air mattress was actually pretty comfortable for me. The ground within the yurt was a little bit uneven but not overly noticeable. overall it was very nice, clean, and very quiet. The hosts were very friendly, and accommodating. I was solo traveling and I felt very safe there the host were very nice and gave off only good vibes. There were lots of large thunderstorms while I was there and the hosts always checked in, asked how I was doing and if I needed anything and the Yurt stayed very sturdy throughout the multiple round of high wind thunderstorms that came through.
