Llama Meadows Farm is a sixteen acre organic fruit and vegetable farm. We're a family peace farm. We have quiet time from 11 pm until 7 am. We have several games- bocce ball, badminton, frisbee, and a soccer ball. The Hipcamp driveway is just south of our house, with a white Hipcamp sign directing you down the hill. Go slow through the trees and follow the road to the left, passing the Welcome Station, to access the sites We don't mind a social drink or two, but we do not tolerate loud and drunken behavior. We ask all of our Campers to respect our sacred land and each other. We have a beautiful bonfire patio with about 15 chairs. We also have a sink in our Welcome Station. For drinking or brushing teeth. Dishes are still washed in the dishwashing station. We have an instant hot water station as well as a charging station to charge your phones. We have our pup Jazzy Bear on the site, who's the Hostess with the Mostest. When the campsite is full, we do a group bonfire where everyone is invited to get to know each other. We also have an artsy outhouse. Located in Beautiful Benzie Country, in Northwestern Lower Michigan. We are one mile south of Crystal Lake and six miles east of Lake Michigan. Our-house is super insulated and passive solar. We had llamas for their wool and manure. We retired from raising llamas, we had 12 they got old and moved on. We have around 50 fruit trees. The fruit we grow includes apples, pears, figs and paw paws. We also grow grapes, and kiwis, we also put in filberts, walnuts and pecans. We have a beautiful labyrinth peace garden. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana. The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk. Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor. Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards, shops and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries. There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes. A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive. We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay. We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat. New this year is our chicken coop and run. We (Bill) has always wanted chickens.

You won't find a more peaceful, tranquil property to relax in and enjoy the wildlife. Only 1.3 miles into Manton with several bars and restaurants. Within 3 miles you are able to gain access to State property, the Manistee River, and Chase Creek. From the trails in this area you can go as far as Houghton Lake and Fife Lake. Sleeping bear national lake shore is a short 30 minutes drive from downtown Traverse City. If you enjoy hiking, access to the north country trail is a 5 minute drive from your campsite where you can enjoy the bluffs overlooking the Manistee River. A 10 minute drive will take you to the high roll aways. A favorite spot of the locals to take in one of the most spectacular overlooks for viewing the fall colors. We also have mowed trails through our 120 acres for a quiet walk. The 5th wheel can accomodate 6 people comfortably. There is A/C if the days are hot as well as heat for cool evenings. The master bedroom has a comfy king size bed. The second bedroom has a couch that pulls out to a queen bed. The couch in the living area also pulls out to a queen bed. There is a fun loft that the kiddos will enjoy as their own private sleep area. Full size frig/freezer. All cooking gear provided as well as towels and bedding. We have used the 5th wheel the last 3 winters in Florida, so it is well stocked with necessities. There is a small Blackstone grill on site as well as a fire pit for roasting weenies and marshmallows. Fire wood is provided. An outside table and 4 chairs is provided as well as 6 camp chairs. My "she shed/potting shed" is available for our guests. It's a peaceful spot for reading on the little porch while enjoying a glass of wine. You can see the small pond with waterfall from the porch. 2 nights at Bear Woods Resort and Campground

The cabin and facilities were absolutely wonderful! The communal “bin” area was a really nice surprise; the bathroom and shower areas were very clean and modern, the self-checkout area and all of the goodies and drinks was a nice touch and the upstairs gaming area our family had so much fun at. The communal “outdoor” area was fantastic as well with the hammocks, gaga ball pit, teacher ball area and play structure. What an absolute treat all the way around!

I just got back from an awesome stay at tree hugger. I cant say enough about this property. Perfect. Cabin was great, beautiful trails to hike and everything you could need for a peaceful relaxing weekend. Highly recommend for anyone that enjoys getting away and enjoying nature. We loved the seclusion of the rustic cabin! A perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The cabin was clean and comfortable and also came prepped with lots of goodies to assist! The extra lights helped a ton and so did having an area to set belongings, both inside and outside. Everything was easy to use and access. Great location being such a short car ride over to Lake Michigan! Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, met us when we arrived to show us around, and gave us some great recommendations for places nearby. The site was clean, peaceful, and very well cared for, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit! We especially loved falling asleep to the sound of the stream each night. The string lights inside and out made the site feel so cozy, and the hot outdoor shower was another favorite! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.

You can really tell how much love and hard work went into creating this space. Everything was cozy, thoughtful, and exactly what we were hoping for. We loved being able to slow down, enjoy the quiet, and just spend time together. The location was beautiful, and the treehouse itself made the whole stay feel like an adventure. Weekend Trip to HillCrest

One of the best (if not the best) experiences we've had with hosted stays! My husband and I stayed at Hillcrest for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The property is stunning; it's obvious from the moment you arrive that so much intentional care has been put into curating a beautiful and peaceful environment. Dan and Bill are both warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. From a detailed tour of the grounds and unit itself to local recommendations , all our needs were met during our stay. It's in a great location to several towns and lakes nearby, or just hanging out on the property itself for a quiet getaway. We hope to visit again in the future and would truly recommend to anyone.

4 nights at Winding River Campground

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE TINY HOUSE RV (Timberlane) - READ THIS REVIEW :) We stayed at Winding River on Wednesday to Saturday. We booked through Sunday but decided to head back early. What you should know: The location is superb. It was 25-30 minutes to Glen Arbor, 15 minutes to Empire Bluff Trail, 15 minutes to Platte River Fishing Weir, and 30 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes. There was a ton of shade, tidy/clean facilities, and fairly quiet for being off US 31. Overall, we loved it and will definitely consider staying again if we come up to the Dunes again. Now about the Timberline Tiny House RV and what you need to know: 1)I think this was advertised to sleep 5. Ooommppphhh. You could definitely sleep 5, but not comfortably. I would recommend no more than 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 small kids (10 and under). 2)The sofa at the front turns into a sleeper “bed”. However, when this is extended you cannot get out of the RV because it blocks the slider. 3)The small loft had a slender twin “mattress” pad. The loft could fit 2 kids under 10 if they were sleeping head to feet and if there are 2 sleeping mats. 4)The kitchen came equipped with: - Dishwasher - Washer/dryer combo - Toaster - 5 cup coffee machine - 4 silverware “sets” - 4 drinking cups, 6 bowls, 6 plates - 1 medium frying pan - 2 very small sauce pans - 2 round cake pans - 1 round pizza pan? (I think) - Salt, pepper, and grilling seasoning - Dish soap - Dish scrubber 5)If you intend to use the kitchen a lot I

The dunes are a beautiful stop. You can climb at Dune Climb—park and hike about 2 miles to the beach (and 2 miles back, of course). The hike is rigorous! We were told that the full route, there and back, takes 2-3 hours. Bring water (lots) and snacks. Carry your shoes or flip flops.

Don’t confuse the Dunes Climb (1.5 hour trek through the dunes to the Lake) w the Lake Michigan overlook on the scenic drive (easy walk to top of overlook-can walk along and play in sand - could go down the steep hill there but I would t recommend it).

The Purple Palace Tiny Treehouse was perfect for my partner and I. It is adorable, so cozy, and clean. The land is beautiful and there are many ammenities. Betty was a fabulous host, we would definitely come back. Also, a great location with close proximity to restaurants and the dunes.
