Our property is in the Village of Central Lake with a close walk to grocery, restaurants, and bars. On the bank of Intermediate lake, we offer quiet, peaceful retreat close to downtown Central Lake. You can dock your own boat at our dock, or take it along the Chain of Lakes from Bellaire to Ellsworth. You can trailer it to any number of beautiful lakes in the area, including Torch Lake. Located just a short drive from Torch Lake, one of the most beautiful in the world, according to National Geographic Magazine, close to award winning golf courses, hiking trails, vibrant downtowns and local wineries. Centrally located between Traverse City, Petoskey, Gaylord or Charlevoix, day trips to the "city" is just a short drive away. This is a perfect 'base camp' centrally located to many of the glories of Northern Michigan. If you are into stargazing, there is a dark sky park about 90 minutes north, near Mackinaw City. You will be using our 28' travel trailer, with all the amenities - WiFi, A/C, very comfy queen mattress. We live on property, so we can be available if you wish. Nothing can beat a campfire at the lake front, or sitting in the swing and watching the wildlife. Kayaks are available for lazy exploration of the water.You can park directly in front of the trailer, it is a short walk downhill to the lake. There is a fire ring lakeside you can use for a campfire. We are in residence, and will stay out of your way as much as possible, but we are living here, so we'll be around, enjoying our slice of heaven on earth, and doing the chores that go along with the joy. The trailer has everything you should need to be comfortable. Your view from the trailer is lovely when the flowers are in bloom, and depending on the season, you can pick your own mulberries, apples or grapes. This is an ideal accommodation for a couple or a small family. There is a kitchen with gas burners and a microwave, and a small refrigerator. It is a typical travel trailer bathroom - small shower, but functional for a quick rinse off. It's a 28' bunkhouse model trailer, with one bump out, one queen bed, and 2 queen size bunks that require young knees to crawl into. There is a small sandy area in the lake for children to play, and a playground 2 lots away from us. Our property is in the Village of Central Lake, close walk to grocery, restaurants, bars. Gem on the lake

Sweetwater Camper

Kim and Burt was the best hosts. So kind and thoughtful. Burt cut us some kindling for firewood which was so nice. We really enjoyed getting to meet them! The camper was just what we needed for our long weekend and being on the Lake was such a bonus. We loved getting out on the water, spotting wildlife, kayaking, and having a bonfire. We took several trips to nearby beaches and in the evening enjoyed walking into town to get some ice cream. I'd recommend this gem of a spot in a heartbeat!

The hosts were absolutely wonderful and attentive. The camper was clean, the mattresses super comfortable, and everything you could possibly need was provided including bedding and a coffee maker and electric kettle. The refrigerator was a good size, and kept everything at the perfect temperature. Will definitely be returning next year.

We had an excellent stay at the Sweetwater Camper! The lake access was great and the views were beautiful. Kim was a great and responsive host. We loved drinking our coffee down by the lake in the mornings and watching the ducks swim by- it was so peaceful. It was also a great location as it was close to Torch Lake, and a drive away from Traverse City, Sleepy Bear Dunes and Charlevoix which we visited during our trip! There is the downtown area just a short walk away with shops, a grocery market, bars, ice cream shop and more!

Kim's camper and property were very nice, as listed. We had a great time with easy access to Central Lake, Bellaire, and Boyne City. She was responsive and very kind and thoughtful as a host.

Kim and Bert were excellent host. The camper was a good fit for our family of four. Great location, nice little town with good ice cream a short walk away. We would definitely recommend this camp to any of our friends. Thanks!

We just loved this spot! You can’t beat starting and ending your day with a view of the lake. Kim and her husband are amazing and made our trip so much better! We will definitely be returning in the future.
