Queen bed upstairs & downstairs a fold down couch & camp mat for 4th person , with all Linens provided . Partly run by a generator, heat will be supplied by a space heater that we would like turned down to 66 at night (heating blankets provided if that is too cold). . Bathroom has a
composting toilet. (Usually changed every 3rd guest). Ac is hooked to an extension cord . We provide a Battery pump shower where you have to fill the bag with water & foot pump sink like used at festivals. The shack isn’t perfectly air tight so you might encounter a few bugs however with Chickens around they are natural bug exterminators. Ceiling height it just at 6 ft meaning those taller than that need to Duck under beams. Please beware.

Lake can only be viewed from the upstairs of shack due to tall reeds or by way of walking path which is still under construction partially handmade from scrap lumber . It’s about 2/3 complete with newly built dock, sections (see pics). The path is usually partially underwater until mid May so please check if you plan to kayak you will use at your own risk. *:It’s too mucky to swim right off shore but you can Kayak out to the swimming area. Kayak use is allowed as long as waiver is signed. Closed toed/water shoes recommended . Potential for 4 guests which is tight, or more if part of your crew wanted to set up a tent.

Julie was a fantastic host! She checked in after our first night to see if we had everything we needed. We spent a weekend here as part of a greater road trip cross-country and we had a swell time. The views of the lake are gorgeous and the loft sleeping accommodations were super cozy!
After we left we realized that we left some near and dear prized possessions (a special hat and one single ear bud) and Julie was kind enough to reach out and then mail these items to us! We are super thankful and do kindly recommend staying

Our goal was to find a place we could wake up in the woods, and this was the spot! Nice having coffee on the deck overlooking the property and ending the day w a fire. We were pretty self-sufficient, but my impression was that if we needed something we could just message to ask. I would have liked to be more social w. our hosts but just didn’t have the energy; the whole point of us being there was for a much needed respite. Also we were there during the work week and they were busy going about their business. We stayed in the treehouse and didn’t need the heat even, it is pretty well insulated which also cuts the train noise others commented on. Super cute goat! Very personable turkey! Definitely the woods go back a fair ways for exploring. We found good nearby hikes too; the big loop around the lake at Metamora-Hadley was a really good route.

I really enjoyed my stay at Julie’s B52 “Love Shack.” My dog and I felt right at home. Julie provided everything we could need. The upstairs was so relaxing and peaceful. The outside grill and zero gravity chairs were perfect for enjoying a delicious meal and providing front-row seats to view the stars and moon. The outside shower was an experience and a first for me. I mistakenly thought I had put enough water in there, but ran out with my hair covered in shampoo. Luckily, I was able to rebound pretty quickly and enjoyed an ice-cold shower on an extraordinarily hot day for October. Overall, this place and space offered me exactly what I was looking for, and I look forward to revisiting it soon.

If you're looking for a place to get away for a few days I'd highly recommend. Booked during the week in September and had the whole place to myself. Plenty of places to walk around on the property and explore. I stayed in the treehouse and would encourage you to try it for yourself.
The hosts left me pretty much to myself unless I requested something and they were friendly and quick to respond if I needed something (fresh eggs, firewood, etc).
The tent campsites I saw were all nice and clean and were far enough apart to have some privacy if they have multiple guests. They also have a group campground.
One note, watch the chickens, they are sneaky and will sneak up and steal your food if you aren't careful.
I'll definitely be back.

We stayed at the tiny love shack for our yearly camping trip! We are a small family of 3 and it was perfect for us. We felt like we were in another land surrounded by cat-tails and nature.
And chickens! 🐓 Julie had everything anyone would need to camp! All of the little details were so sweet and thoughtful. We had a fire for 3 days! We discovered that if you smolder fuzzy cattails it works as an insect repellant. Like insence. I even tried to weave a basket. We brought my dog and she loved sleeping in the cabin. This was our first time trying hip-camp and we will be using this app for all of our future family get aways!

Cute lil cabin feels pretty secluded has a nice lil fire pit. Upstairs loft bed was pretty comfortable ladder 🪜 could be a challenge to some to get up and down but overall not bad. We did take the kayaks out but the lake was pretty low so couldn't go out too far but still fun 😊 We would recommend staying here for the price it's definitely worth it.

The shack is a beautiful little get away for couples, we had a great time and lots of stuff to entertain you for a few days around the area. I wouldn’t really suggest kayaking off the pier though, at least this time of year. Lily pad and muck makes it impossible to get to the beach area, seemed like lack of rain probably played a factor. It’s a beautiful place though and we had a great time.

Had a fantastic stay at the Tiny Love Shack! Julie was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. We ended up taking the kayaks out to the lake and it was so fun! The inside was clean and well taken care of. We slept super well; it was a nice, quiet area. We were in town for a small conference at MSU and it was super close by and easy to get to. Only about a 15 min drive from campus.
Will definitely be back again!

We had such a good weekend in the tipi! Kadyah is a fantastic host - very responsive and kind. Check in was simple and quick. The campsite is woody, toilet clean and convenient. There are many amenities in the tipi, we had everything we needed. Kadyah even made sure we had plenty of bug repellant options so we could enjoy the outdoor space. We used the SUP and kayak for a little paddle out on the water and that was very nice. This is a great camping option!
