There are two households (the families of Ari Wakeman and Emily Adama) that live permanently on the property. (one in the lower level of the common house, and one in a cabin 200 yards from the common house.) During your rental they will maintain quiet and privacy for your group, but will remain on the property for the duration of your stay and will be available should any issues arise.

Partly run by a generator, heat will be supplied by a space heater that we would like turned down to 66 at night (heating blankets provided if that is too cold). . Bathroom has a
composting toilet. (Usually changed every 3rd guest). Ac is hooked to an extension cord . We provide a Battery pump shower where you have to fill the bag with water & foot pump sink like used at festivals. The shack isn’t perfectly air tight so you might encounter a few bugs however with Chickens around they are natural bug exterminators. Ceiling height it just at 6 ft meaning those taller than that need to Duck under beams. Please beware.

Lake can only be viewed from the upstairs of shack due to tall reeds or by way of walking path which is still under construction partially handmade from scrap lumber . It’s about 2/3 complete with newly built dock, sections (see pics). The path is usually partially underwater until mid May so please check if you plan to kayak you will use at your own risk. *:It’s too mucky to swim right off shore but you can Kayak out to the swimming area. Kayak use is allowed as long as waiver is signed. Closed toed/water shoes recommended . Potential for 4 guests which is tight, or more if part of your crew wanted to set up a tent.
*Fall/winter info:
Use of our guest bathroom is permitted during colder months -just ask!. Keep in mind, The only heat will be a 1500 watt heater.

It's a cozy little spot by the lane, and it feels very private! Great AC which is just what we needed during this heatwave. We had a lovely time and Julie provided everything we needed.
There were games to play, and lots of DVDs to choose from. We never felt a lack of "something to do" here, we appreciate the care that was put into making this spot fun.
That being said, beware if you are approaching the height of the ceiling - my partner hit her head a few times in the door frame! Definitely not a huge problem, just remember to do as the sign says and duck!

Cute little cabin, stays cool in the heat, had everything you could need and then some, host was excellent at communicating and answering questions as I came as a last minute unprepared getaway. My dog loved the gated area and chickens. Totally worth checking out for night, especially if your looking for a little isolated retreat space.

If there was one word for this site, it would be fun. This is not your normal site. When you arrive it seems like a regular neighborhood but a short path leads down to a small shack that sits very private next to a patch of reeds. A picnic table provides outside seating. The toilet is a marine-like composting toilet behind a small gate just outside the cabin and the sleep area is up a small ladder and is a bit intimate. If you want the Hilton, book the Hilton, but if you want a fun little quirky shack for a night or two, this is it.

My wife and I loved this cozy little spot! Julie was great and super responsive, and the firewood at the site was a huge plus. We enjoyed the privacy (we brought our puppy to begin to acclimate him to traveling) and this ended up being perfect for us. Like another commenter, we forgot an important item (small battery generator) and Julie contacted us right away so we could get it back. Great spot, great host. 10/10.

What a beautiful and secluded spot! We were able to camp with our class c and tow vehicle. The spot was nice and secluded as described. It was nice and quiet did not see anyone else our entire stay. Amenities were great, porta potty, wood, bug spray, citronella candles, on site garbage; we were so grateful! Our two dogs loved being off leash and roaming the well kept trails and exploring. Super close to Frankenmuth so that was fun to explore. Would definitely recommend.

I loved how peaceful the mornings and evenings were, sitting by the fire and watching the sun over the lake. The cabin was stocked so well with all the basic necessities, and Julie helped with every request I made. I definitely can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

4 nights at EarthWell Retreat Center
This place is utterly beautiful I still can't even believe I spent several days here and it's already time for me to go. If I could spend another month here I would. The air feels so fresh the cabin was so clean and had everything you needed. It felt so nice to live in a minimalist way and to be disconnected from the big city. I hope I get to come back here soon even if it's for a day.

Such a cool spot! Amazing space with tons of amenities. The yurt had a lot more to offer than the pictures suggest. A loft with two small beds perfect for kids, running water, wood burning stove although you don’t really need it all the time because of the mini split. Fun to be had around the property as well with visiting the yaks, the small pond and the treehouse.

The area was super clean, very peaceful to have that much area all to ourselves. My son had a blast exploring the trails which are very nicely maintained. While the weather didn’t really cooperate, we still had an amazing time. If someone is looking for a quiet, relaxing beautiful place for a camping trip, this is the place to go. Also, the host was SUPER responsive when I had any questions. Don’t miss out on visiting.

Weekend Trip to Tiny Love Shack Off Grid Glamping
Julie was a fantastic host! She checked in after our first night to see if we had everything we needed. We spent a weekend here as part of a greater road trip cross-country and we had a swell time. The views of the lake are gorgeous and the loft sleeping accommodations were super cozy!
After we left we realized that we left some near and dear prized possessions (a special hat and one single ear bud) and Julie was kind enough to reach out and then mail these items to us! We are super thankful and do kindly recommend staying

We loved our time in the Tiny Love Shack! It's definitely tiny, just enough room for the two of us and our big dog. It felt surprisingly private for being so close to neighbors. It was a bit musty in November, but that's to be expecting of glamping!
