You'll be camping on our Stanley lake sugarbush property. Lakefront sites have power and water - are located in a grassy clearing on the shores of Stanley Lake. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!!
Primitive sites are amongst the maple trees of our sugarbush operation, within walking distance of the lake. These sites do not yet have water or electricity, but water is available from spigots at the lake clearing.
Stanley lake is just shy of 400 acres, known for walleye and bass. It is an all sports lake with no limited wake hours. Feel free to roam our woods - you will notice the blue maple lines come to an end at our east and west property lines, as well as a no trespassing sign on the lake clearing to the west line. Deer here are plentiful, and you can often get them to eat from your hand, provided you have apples. Iron county has a tremendous ORV/snowmobile trail system. You can drive your machine right from our property to the trails. There are two golf courses in the area, as well as a vast bicycle trail system. Ski Brule ski hills and sporting clay operation are a few miles from the property. Countless acres of public land for recreation!

Welcome to Constellation Farmstead. We are a multi-faceted agritourism destination combining farming, homesteading and leisure. We are located in a quaint and quiet area of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
We currently have camping space available both for tents and camping with an RV.
For animals we currently have 3 pigs, 12 chickens, a handful of ducks and 8 of the softest rabbits you will ever meet. We also have a husky named Lakota who is always on leash with us as well as 2 cats, one of which spends much of his time outside.
Our hiking trails are open, and markers are being added. You are welcome to hike through our property on your own or we are always happy to join. Our disc golf course will be open with t pads and baskets once the ground is firm enough to get everything set up!
In the years to come, our beautiful barn will become a venue for weddings as well as a suite and rentable rooms where you can stay. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit.
For guests we also have a community fire pit in our yard and host fires most nights that we have guests. We also have a sauna that we heat up many nights so feel to let us know if these things interest you.

Weekend Trip to Simplicity @Top Of The Hill Huskies
This spot is a truly perfect off-grid getaway. I couldn't have asked for a more prepared or inviting experience.
The host went above and beyond by having the wood stove prepped and ready for immediate use, along with some initial firewood provided. Since the temperature dropped into the 30s, I did burn through two bundles of wood over the course of the night to stay warm (which worked perfectly, with the fire only needing restarting once!).
The cabin itself is a cozy sanctuary, and it was exactly the recharge I needed. I am already wanting my next trip back!
Future visitors: If you're staying during cold weather, be prepared for at least two bundles of wood to last the night. Also, I highly recommend bringing a good camping lantern with you, a flashlight felt a little weak for lighting the whole space.

This place was perfect - a cozy Midwest romantic getaway, as my boyfriend called it. We stayed in the orange tiny house, which had two beds, and an indoor fireplace which kept us warm at night. Diane provided us with plenty firewood and had other cooking utensils if needed. The stars were beautiful at night as well which was an added plus. We loved how private and cozy the stay was. We plan to come back again next month! Thank you Diane!

The shed is a great little spot! Clean and comfortable. Was a bit muddy to get there, but not a big deal if you have all wheel drive. It is in the woods, a little mud is expected after rain. Nice to walk with my dog off-leash on the trails they use for the dog sledding. You can hear the huskies sometimes, but they were silent thru out the entire night. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and be back myself sometime!

We had the most magical fall getaway in the forests of Upper Wisconsin, it was absolute paradise! 🍂 We stayed in the adorable cabin, which was cozy perfection with super comfy beds and lovely bedding. The stove was such a treat. We accidentally got it way too hot and had to air it out, but it made the cabin feel extra warm and romantic.
Our pup Leslie loved being off-leash and exploring the property, and the short, beautiful walking trails they carved out were perfect for peaceful strolls. We also loved that there’s so much great hiking nearby if you want to drive out and explore. Even with a rainy weekend, it was perfect to snuggle up in the cabin and enjoy the sounds of birds, ducks, coyotes, and the friendly huskies on site.
The nearby town of Eagle River is so charming, we could almost plan another trip just to hang out there! The host was perfect: super responsive but gave us total privacy to enjoy our solitude. Highly recommend for anyone craving cozy comfort, fall colors, and complete relaxation!

Directions were clear. Property and yurt was beautiful and very clean!!! Host was very attentive accommodating and friendly!! We did not have grilling utensils and I just sent a text and Isabelle brought them right to us right away! This trust had everything I needed for a much needed relaxing weekend. I even ready two books that were provided inside the yurt! Unfortunately I did not get to enjoy sauna due to husband wanting to go to the bike festivities. I will be rebooking next year for a girls weekend! Highly recommend this cute little yurt ❤️

This place is perfect! Private, cozy, with beautiful views and the sounds of nature. It was fun hearing the huskies off in the distance, owls at night, and seeing a few turkey and deer during the day. Our dogs were just as happy to have time away from “the city”. The wood furnace kept us toasty in the cooler evenings and the beds were snuggly with plenty of blankets and pillows. 10/10 will be returning.

1 night at Simplicity @Top Of The Hill Huskies
Diane was such a sweet host! She let me borrow her ATV to get from the “shed” to my car and even let me ride it around on the trails for fun. The “shed” was also very comfortable! The bed was great and I loved the window looking out into the field. I would recommend this stay to anyone and will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

4 nights at Pure Air Paradise
We would definitely stay here again! The camper was great. It was well stocked with everything you need for a stay and the beds were comfortable (they had a soft memory foam topper on the mattress that I loved). Having a recliner was also great as well. The camper had A/C for hot days and space heaters for cool nights. It had a coffee maker, blender, fridge, freezer (that all worked well). We also had warm water for a comfortable shower. It was our first time staying in a camper and Alyssa was very responsive/helpful with any questions.
The area seemed really safe and the location is great to many different destinations. It is located just off a major road (convenient) but not many cars drive by (pretty quiet). It's about 30 minutes to the east end of the Porkies, 45 minutes to Agate Beach, and an hour to Houghton. There are good and inexpensive food options locally on Ontonagon that stay open late after a day of adventure.
Due to previous campers not cleaning up well, they now charge a modest cleaning fee but it was nice to just do and light clean and go upon checkout instead of a deep clean.
If you are looking for great option in the Ontonogan region, this is the place.

We could not have asked for a better time. The pictures are legit and the yurt had everything we could have asked for and more. We even had a few family members drop by to visit, and they were very impressed by the amenities and the spaciousness of everything. We will be back next year!

Trap Hills Campground
My pup and I enjoyed our time camping here! Despite having a few other campers there, it was very quiet and we had plenty of privacy. On top of that, our campsite was sooo close to the water, which my pup was thrilled about. We can't wait to be back 😃

6 nicely separated campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts. Pt privies close by. A not-too-long trail down to the river and rapids. If you can get into the camp - it's open!! No fee in the off season.

The campground is small but the sites are all pretty secluded and quite. Gorgeous river is a drop-in point so you are able to see many adventures come and go if it's that time of year. We were able to sit back and weren't bothered by anyone. We would definitely stay here again. Bring bug spray!
