Weekend Trip to Treasure Hunt Treehouse

Cute and had everything we needed and more. Very clean outhouse!!

1 night at Treasure Hunt Treehouse

Two parents and a 7 year old slept well in late June. Clean, nice bathroom and outdoor sink. Cozy bed and hammocks. Pets were friendly. Was not buggy either on ground level or in the treehouse although flies, etc were in the local neighborhood.

Weekend Trip to The Jolly Treehouse

Very cute and thoughtfully put together. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our time here. Nice hiking trails and places to check out within a 30-minute drive. Loved hearing the frogs at night, and the surrounding woods on the site. It was so relaxing and comfortable!

2 nights at The Jolly Treehouse

This is SUCH a cute space. Derek has created an adorable spot here, and the treehouse is absolutely full of thoughtful touches that make it feel really special (so many things- a spot for kids to play under the treehouse, an ax for splitting wood if you need it, peppermint oil in the outhouse). I brought my bin of camping basics (lighter, bowl and mug, etc), and found that I didn't even have to open it. I'm definitely more of a backpacker than a glamper, but this went above and beyond glamping. There are some really good mountain biking trails and hiking trails nearby, and it's very accessible to Ann Arbor but also feels quiet and removed from the city. Great stay, and would definitely recommend.

1 night at The Farmstead Oasis

The Farm Dome was. Perfect space to escape the noise of the city without having to pitch your own tent. The bed was so cozy, the space was beautiful and the hosts were so kind. Bonus points for the animals! Would recommend!!! Can’t wait to see this place grow.

Weekend Trip to The Jolly Treehouse

In an area with a lot to do, hikes, downtown Chelsea. The treehouse was clean and comfortable with many thoughtful amenities. Outhouse was clean and odor free. Do not have little kids, but would be an amazing place to bring children, so much for them to do. Host was very available, kind, I had a restorative girls weekend around the campfire!

Weekend Trip to Waymeet Homestead

We made a spontaneous decision to do a winter tent camping trip and immediately wanted to try this because the tent had a stove already. Jason was very gracious to accommodate us. We brought wood and blankets, but he also gave us extra blankets and started us with a pile of wood as well. He even setup an area heater to keep us warm while we got the stove up and running to heat the tent, which was very thoughtful. The stove heated the tent really nicely. We also had a great time exploring the grounds and meeting the Yaks. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back in the Spring to check out the other sites around the natural pool!

EarthWell Retreat Center boasts a spring-fed swimming pond situated on forty acres of rolling prairie, forest and wetland, surrounded by one hundred acres of Washtenaw County Nature Preserve. Six off-grid sleeping cabins dot the landscape, all within a short walk to our Common House, that includes a large gathering space, community kitchen/dining and bathrooms/shower. EarthWell offers Yoga and Meditation classes and weekend retreats year-round. Located in Southeastern Michigan, just 30 minutes west of Ann Arbor, and near the towns of Grasslake, Chelsea, Manchester. (All downtowns are 7-10 miles away). EarthWell allows hiking, wildlife watching (amazing sandhill cranes), swimming and canoeing/kayaking/paddleboating in our pond. East of Chelsea is the expansive Pinckney and Waterloo State Recreation areas, with over 20 lakes and trails for hikers, bikers, backpackers, and horseback riders. There are two households (the families of Ari Wakeman and Emily Adama) that live permanently on the property. (one in the lower level of the common house, and one in a cabin 200 yards from the common house.) During your rental they will maintain quiet and privacy for your group, but will remain on the property for the duration of your stay and will be available should any issues arise. The campground is a park like setting with mature trees. The grounds are mostly shady with some areas of sun. We have a large community fire pit. We wouldn't describe our location as a place that you would want to camp at for an extended period. Our place would be a good place to try out sleeping in an RV. You can rent one of ours and stay in it a night or two to see if you like the idea of RV camping. Our place would be a great spot to stop off at for a night while passing through or attending a nearby event.
