You need to walk about 100 yards down a gravel path to get to our secluded home. It is heated with two pellet stoves. One in the bedroom wing, the other in the livingroom/kitchen. Skating, ice fishing, and crosscountry skiing right outside your door when the weather is right. Peace and calm when the weather is harsh. The house is fully stocked with cooking. linens, and a bathroom. During the summer, glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility. It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a desk within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days. There is a canoe and paddleboard available to borrow. The main house is attached by decks, the bathroom is shared with the main house and there is a kitchen for you to use. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it. Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope. The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. The birds are amazing. Henry David Thoreau wrote about White Pond in his book, Walden as the "emerald eyes of the world." This is a place that magic happens.

This campsite is nestled on a hillside among Fraser Fir and White Spruce trees, just a short walk from the designated parking area. Enjoy 7 acres of trails, and easy walking access to the Sakonnet River, Fort Barton Revolutionary War Tower, and Grinnell’s Beach Pier, as well as local dining including Le Moulin Rouge, BoatHouse Waterfront Dining, Coastal Roosters Café, Black Goose Café, Red Dory Restaurant, Duck Pond, and Cumberland Farms Convenience Store.

Stay includes a rustic cabin in the woods! This camp, called Dream Day on Cape Cod, welcomes families who have a seriously ill child to enjoy respite together during the summer.
Cabins vary slightly, but each includes two double bunk beds (four twin beds total) and one full-size bed, sleeping up to six guests.
Each cabin is equipped with a mini refrigerator, microwave, and a full bathroom. The property also offers access to a wide-open field and a playground. Fire pit use may be requested during your stay (availability depends on fire danger levels).

I absolutely loved this country setting and historic 1800’s cottage. It’s basically a whole house to yourself. You will want for nothing. Just bring yourself, clothes & food. There are pots, pans, dishes, utensils and everything you need for a relaxing stay. I sat in the kitchen most of the time, to watch the beautiful horse right outside the sliding glass door. Moonfield I believe his name is. I walked around the property and took in all the charm of this place. It’s decorated appropriately and suits this cottage perfectly. The queen bed was the most comfortable sleep Ive had in a long time. Joan responded to any questions I had with lighting speed. This was the perfect getaway and I can’t wait to book again in the future.

Weekend Trip to Ponderings at White Pond
Our stay at the cabin by the pond was just what we needed as both of us are from the city. Very, very quiet, comfortable bed with a view of the pond. We were able to use the canoe and take a ride out on the lake. Walking/biking paths nearby and West Concord with modern amenities is only 10 minutes away. It was a peaceful and comfortable getaway. Claudine was a gracious host. I highly recommend for couples who just want to enjoy each other's company and the peaceful outdoors.

We loved Patricia’s little camp. It was so cozy and welcoming. It was exactly what we were looking for. She knew it was our anniversary and upon arrival we walked in to candles lit scattered hearts and a cute heart pillow on the bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were well stocked with xtra blankets if needed. The lake view was peaceful and beautiful. Well stocked with firewood also. Very cute, little lake side cabin, w a nice yard space, hammock, boat access, and fire-pit. Kind and responsive management was very easy to engage w. But, perhaps best of all, was the private sandy beach just steps from the front patio. There is a set of well built outdoor stairs to get down to the cabin, that could present a challenge of accessibility for some individuals. But, if you can do a few stairs, it’s well worth the effort. Great spot to unwind and enjoy the cape from.

I had a wonderful stay at Ponderings. The pond is beautiful throughout the day, and you can enjoy it from the porch, various benches, one of the docks, or go out on it. (I did with a paddle board.) The cabin is very comfortable, clean, practical, and beautifully set up with a great view of the pond from inside or on the porch. Multiple fire pit and stove options too. The hosts were very responsive, gave clear directions and great tips for the area, comfortable bed, the wifi worked well if you need that, and the shower worked great (heated up in a flash, good pressure, cool set up). It was beautiful and peaceful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

I made this reservation rather quickly, so I didn’t have much time to look into many options. At first, I hesitated because there weren’t many reviews and the photos mainly showed the room. Honestly, I almost passed it by just looking at the review photos. But in the end, I decided to book—and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! Now, let me explain one by one why I enjoyed my stay so much.
First of all, the neighborhood is very quiet, yet within just a 3–5 minute drive you can find almost any store you need. Following Joan’s kind instructions, I parked the car and walked in to find a small house with a red door. It may look modest from the outside, but once inside everything is neat and well organized. There is a dining table that seats six, a large sofa, two cushioned chairs, a TV, and a kitchen tucked under the stairs, fully equipped with clean cookware. Upstairs, you’ll find one single bed and one queen bed, along with towels prepared for three guests and a compact bathroom with heating. What I loved most about this place was the view of the outdoors, the garden, and the theme Joan created for the house. Everything—from the curtains to the coasters and even the lanterns—featured horses, which was absolutely charming. And yes, the horses are right there in the backyard waiting for you. The yard is very spacious, with no unpleasant smells at all, and if you approach gently, one might even come closer to you. Of course, the entire area is safely fenced.
