Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven.
There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided)
Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars.
During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay.
We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam.
Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away!
Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat!
Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more.
It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

A small family farm that has been in Dennis's family since 1914. The old county road once existed in front of our house. Where horses and wagons would stop to off load part of their load to continue up the hill. They would return to pick up the rest and continue on. Since inheriting the farm, we have moved towards sustainable farming. We follow grass fed measures while raising our sheep the poultry free ranges to control the flea and tick population on the farm. Our vegetables are grown organically. We harvest only what is needed to heat our home from the forest leaving under growth alone. Last fall almost a hundred acres, of our farm, went into land conservation protecting it from urban sprawl.

Nestled in the heart of the Blackstone Valley, our property in Sutton, Massachusetts is a place of transition, growth, and raw natural beauty. If you are looking for a highly polished, corporate glamping resort, you won’t find it here. What you will find is a working farm dedicated to the conservation of rare and endangered birds, a landscape that is being lovingly restored one day at a time, and a hosting experience that values authenticity over perfection.
We are currently in an exciting phase of development. While the "bones" of the campground are firmly in place—providing you with the essential peace, privacy, and rugged beauty you expect from a New England camping trip—we are still very much a work in progress. When you book a stay with us, you aren't just a guest; you are a witness to the evolution of this land. In fact, for those who enjoy leaving a place better than they found it, there are often opportunities to help in the development of new campsites and property projects. Whether it's helping clear a new path or offering feedback on a prospective tent platform site, your input helps shape the future of this sanctuary.
The Layout: Water, Woods, and Wildlife
The property is uniquely situated between two active streams, creating a natural soundscape that drowns out the hum of the modern world. Because we focus on the preservation of rare avian species, the morning chorus here is unlike anything else in the region.
We currently offer three distinct sites, each with its own character:
The Stream-Side Retreat: Perfect for those who want to fall asleep to the sound of rushing water.
The Forest Edge: A shaded spot that offers the best vantage point for birdwatching.
The Meadow View: An open area near our working farm zones, great for stargazing.
While we are still installing more permanent infrastructure—including our upcoming composting and dry toilet facilities for the 2026 season—we make sure the basics are covered so you can focus on the environment. This is a place for campers who appreciate the "DIY" spirit of a farm in progress.

The Idaho camping site was awesome and secluded with tree coverage on the edge of a field. The farm animals were awesome to watch. Dominic was an awesome host, very personable, helpful and enjoyable to be around. We were able to purchase firewood, eggs, and sausage from his farm to use during our stay.

We’ve done several Hipcamps before and this I by far our favorite. The owners are very nice and are available if needed. The campsite was perfect with a large platform that can fit our huge 6 person tent. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed saying hello to the farm animals and going for hikes nearby. I highly recommend!

Our group spent three nights camping at Camp Cozie Nook and really enjoyed our stay. It was a lovely spot for a few days. The site was clean, private, and included most of the cooking tools we needed for our stay. Your car definitely needs AWD if you want to drive right up to the site. Robyn and Dennis were gracious hosts, giving us recommendations for places to hike, swim, and eat in town. It's a great place to stay to take advantage of all the outdoor activities this section of the Berkshires has to offer.

Last minute decided to book a camping trip at Dominic’s Idaho site and it was the most incredible experience. This was my first time camping on a farm and seeing all the animals on site was truly magical! Dominic was a great host and walked us to our campsite and gave us a quick history of the land. Such a perfect spot to unwind, star gaze, and enjoy nature. Waking up to the cows grazing in the pasture was something really special. Will definitely be back!! !!

We loved being at Moon in the Pond!!! Dominic keeps an idyllic, lush farm and the Idaho site was absolutely beautiful and private. We woke up each morning to grazing highland cows in the pasture nearby - the site is definitely in and among the working farm and its animals. Photos don’t really do it justice. Guests who are bug bite prone like me should make sure to bring repellent for the dusk and early evening hours. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you Dominic!

Great secluded spot! Friendly farmers own the land. Definitely requires a AWD vehicle to get up to the site but with AWD it was easy. Compost toilet turned out to be just fine. Great to visit with the farm animals, site is near hiking, swimming and fishing at Ashfield pond.

This spot was so much nicer than we thought it would be! Tons of little touches. A spike by the fire pit with a grill and a hook for our kettle, very private, platform big enough for 2 tents, outhouse with TP, nice big picnic table. Little stand with a roof to keep the firewood dry. Overall a lovely spot.

We loved our stay here! We were on the pond site and we loved the sound of the frogs and nature in the night time. It was also nice to walk the trails and see all the other animals on the farm. The campsite was very private and came with a fireplace. Dominic was very kind when we chatted and gave us a good amount of wood for $10! Thanks for the awesome stay!

This is such a lovely place to spend a few nights! Dom is very kind and helpful, and met us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we need. The tent site is awesome - the pond is beautiful and the site is private. The animals are the best part!! They are always out and about and super cute :)

Our family camped on Robyn and Dennis’ property for 4 days and 3 nights and had a great time!
The campsite was spacious, and we appreciated the covered restroom, cooking utensils, and camp stove. We loved the privacy and hearing all the different birds, especially the woodpeckers.
Dennis and Robyn have a small farm, and visiting their animals was a highlight for us for sure! There is also a beautiful trail that we hiked nearby—definitely recommend. It rained one day we were there, but it didn’t put a damper on our time at all as we drove around and explored the area.
We could hear traffic on a nearby road, but it did not impact our stay. I’d imagine that once all the leaves are on the trees it would be even less noticeable.
Robyn and Dennis were so kind, and their property is beautiful. I’d recommend them and this site to other families!

Very nice property, each site is very private. Be ready to walk your things to the site. Dom has wheelbarrows to help move things which is great. Great experience, the firewood is a nice big bundle. We loved the animals on the farm too. No tables at the sites but there are some nice stumps you can easily use as a table. Thanks Dom
