Weekend Trip to Willows Farm

We came back to Willow's Farm and tried out the Woods camping. We loved it! It was private, shaded, quiet, and had plenty of space for our set up. Honestly, the only issue we had was that previous campers definitely ate crabs there because they threw all the claws around the campsite and our dog happened to find them all and eat them. We will definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Kitchen Girl Farm

The farm is nice and the area is peaceful. The kitchen is a plus – it made meal clean up easy. The campsite is near a road and a couple of homes but the road isn’t busy and the neighbors are very friendly. It’s a good place to stay if you would like to bike the NCR Trail. The White Hall NCR Trail Parking lot is just a few miles away. Buy the eggs!

Weekend Trip to Kitchen Girl Farm

I loved camping at Kitchen Girl Farm. It is stunning out there. We stayed at the site next to the barn and used the grill and got to hang out by the blooming daffodils. In the morning we woke up and made coffee and went on a little walk around the property. It was so peaceful and the historic barn is so beautiful. Such a pleasant stay so close to Baltimore but you feel so tucked away in the country.

Weekend Trip to 1850's Greenock Farm, plus 4WD site

We had a great experience staying on Randy's property @site #1 in our toy hauler. The land was beautiful with soft rolling hills viewed from our camp site and the fire pit was stocked upon arrival which was greatly appreciated. Randy gave us clear directions to our site with the ability to pick the best spot suited for us. Randy was a pleasure to meet and an exceptional host. We definitely recommend staying there.

Button Farm was wonderful. The field was large but had a nice private/intimate feel to it. We enjoyed chatting with Steven during our check-in. I would highly recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to 1850's Greenock Farm, plus 4WD site

We stayed at Randy’s property for two nights. It is situated in an area of beautiful farmland, yet very close to Annapolis. The site options vary, with some being more private than others. Randy has fire pits, chairs and wood at all sites. While there were no crops when we there in early April, the birds and peepers were plentiful and we were treated to their symphony each morning and evening. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

21 nights at The Sanctuary at Oaks

SOMD is known for it's history and farmland. The Oaks is a retired horse sanctuary located less than 10 minutes away from conveniences. It's located in a private country setting, conveniently located at the northern end of St. Mary's. With open fields, there's plenty acres of space to explore, bird watch, as well as do some pretty awesome star gazing on clear nights. It's mostly quiet... the property does neighbor a police gun-range and the hosts do have hounds, and at night you can hear the owls and foxes, but all country noises that didn't bother us at all. We (toddler and dog) enjoyed the serenity, picking dandelions, searching for bugs, looking at the horses, and watching the property come back to life during spring. We had the entire site to ourselves, Beth made sure to check-in periodically to make sure we were ok and to inform us of any guests that would be staying at their Air BnB and her husband would come take our trash away, it's a sanctuary for sure.

Weekend Trip to Willows Farm

Curtis is an amazing host, gave us a very warming welcoming & replied within a reasonable time both times I had a question. The farm looks beautiful, we only stayed for a night & had to leave early so we did not had enough time to explore the place but waking up to the birds chirping, the cows mooing & no cars noise was such a refreshing morning. I highly recommend buying steaks or ribs from him. Meat tastes amazing (everyone loved it), we had to order twice to bring some home. On the side note, make sure to ask them to defrost the meat if you plan on cooking it there. Will definitely go back sometime soon. Other reviews were not wrong about the cleanest pit toilet I’ve seen when camping.

Beautiful 360 degree view at site #1. well kept campsite and grounds. Convenient to Frederick and New Market. Ran into friendly owner while walking dogs, he pointed out how you could see Big roundtop and little roundtop at Gettysburg in the distance which was really cool.

Secluded spot with very little (if any) road noise. Randy had fire wood at the fire pit. This site has a little slope to it so you have to pick your tent or parking spot wisely. I’ll plan to stay here again for another weekend trip.

The campground is situated in the wooded area on the back of 27 acre horse farm which is known as "The Stables at Mezza Luna." There is Wi-Fi to all the sites. Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples." Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. There also is a playground with swings, monkey bars, seesaw and trampoline. There is a dumpster in front of the barn for you to place your trash. Bald Eagle Farm has been in our family for three generations. Today two generations still live and operate the family farm. We once raised tobacco and cattle and have now converted to growing hay and grain. My family wants to share the views and the experience of sleeping under the stars on our beautiful secluded farm. You will hear nothing but the wind, birds, frogs and insects while you doze off or enjoy the dark sky and camp fire. We live on the farm so we are always here to help you out if needed. We can provide you with the firewood you need and water from our deep well. We are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible and provide a restroom in the case of an "emergency". Recently named a finalist for 'Best Hipcamp in Maryland'! Thank you SO much for your support and we look forward to hosting you in 2022. There are three campsites on the farm, one by the pond and two by the river. Very secluded and all sites include , firepit, log bench, and a picnic table that seats 3-4 people. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD. AT THIS TIME WE ARE OUT FOR THE SEASON. The original river campsite has been moved to a more remote spot so that all campers can access the pond and pier to the river. Farm encompasses nearly 300 acres on the Patuxent River. There is access to the river on high tide via our private creek (must bring your own canoe or kayak) and 150 acres of marshland. Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching.
