Ellie's RV Spot is a single RV site designed for use by any length Class A thru C motorized or towable style recreational vehicles including conversion vans/off grid vehicles. 50 or 30 amp electric, water, sewer and screaming fast wifi are included.
All RV's including off grid and pop-ups must set up on GRAVEL PAD only. This is to prevent damage to the private septic system. Your camper RV, off grid van or pop up MUST have an on board toilet, composting or otherwise, no exceptions. **Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.** The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent.
A sister cabin shares the half acre site and is separated by a 16 foot long 9 foot high fence. This cabin is booked up 95 percent for the season.
Ellie's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section.
Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions.
Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar.
While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast.
Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient.
2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding.
We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours.
For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Request first!

We had the most amazing experience here and I already can’t wait to plan our next visit to really just enjoy the site more! But it was absolutely STUNNING, the views were beautiful and so much care was put into every part of the site. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience on my first solo trip with my pup! We heard lots of different animals during the night especially and it was really just magical!

This place had it all! I loved being next to the river. It was quiet and peaceful. The campsite was private. The host gave us space so we could really get away from it all. The campsite was also very clean and felt safe. We absolutely loved it!

Claude has a slice of paradise!! This was our second visit and we hope for many more. We stayed at Toddy this trip, and it did not disappoint. Picturesque nook on a riverbend with a fire pit and cooking grate, complete with fully stocked firewood. Picnic table, tiki torches….just a hint of glamping. Bathroom facility is clean and pleasant to use. Cheers, Claude!! We love everything about Flatrock and will be back in 2026!

We enjoyed staying on “Toddy” at Claude’s campground. The site was very easy to find with gps from our home and then directions for the specific site on the booking information Claude provides. This site is overlooking the water with multiple paths down the embankment to be able to fish or launch kayaks/canoes. There is one site adjacent “rockside” and both together would be perfect for a large gathering or extended family trip. The porta potty is a short walk away and was extremely clean with services done weekly. Even with the water low, the rocks were amazing to spend time on. We lost track of how many small fish we caught. My kiddo brought his bike and loved going around the loop or walking it up the hill to fly down it. Our dog loved rock climbing and swimming. Being able to stargaze out on the rocks and hear the rush of the rapids at the same time was amazing. Claude was super accommodating and came down the day after check in to make sure everything was going smoothly. He advised us where more wood was, offered to even go get some, and was happy to answer our questions about future planning for the campground.
We saw numerous animals including hawks, eagles and porcupines.
The swimming hole was refreshing over the hot weekend with the sides of the rocks making the perfect slides.
We did run into town once or twice to try out some local food and grab more ice- only a few minutes down the road.
Definitely will be back to experience Claude’s land again next year.

We loved camping here! Claude is a generous host who has put a lot of love into this campground. Our site was very large, private, and had water views. The fire pit is really big. The river babbling by was a lovely soundtrack! There are some other great sites we would love to tent camp on someday as well. The Point accommodated our 21' trailer but backing in was pretty tricky. I'd only recommend it for a trailer if you have a back up camera (we don't, lol) or are a real pro. We didn't get to kayak up the river this time, we were having too much paddling around the swimming hole, and relaxing on the huge flat rock. We hope to get back!

Great place right near Acadia & Bar Harbor (as well as numerous other places with less foot traffic). The downtown area of Ellsworth has cute shops, great food, and everything you'd need and is about a 15-20minute drive right from the camp site.
The site is secluded & spacious but has everything you'd need in order to stay comfortable on a camping trip.
I loved bringing my dog because he had ample space to explore. The hosts were very communicative!

The setting was beautiful, very peaceful and serene (granted we were there without other campers for the most part) I bought tons of things to do, but spent the first day just taking in the natural surroundings, watching inchworms fall into the water and waiting for a fish to come and dine.
We did get neighbors on our second day but the way the sites are set up you don't really see anyone. Claude was very friendly and welcoming. The areas were clean and well kept. The Flatrock area is absolutely gorgeous! When we stayed the water level was quite low but you still heard the sounds of running water which we found very soothing. Claude even offered us the use of a little row boat and we were able to paddle up the stream a bit and that was lovely. We would love to go back in the future when the water is truly running to take that in but otherwise a very pleasant host and site.

Lovely, peaceful spot right on the river. The campground was quiet, with large sites spaced generously from one another. The port a johns were spotless and supplied with toilet paper and sanitizer. The river itself was great to explore, we even took one of the canoes available for a quick spin. Thanks for having us!

This campsite is really special- the property is absolutely beautiful, the tent and everything provided made our stay comfortable, and the lake is sooo peaceful. We loved spending two nights here with our dogs and using it as a jumping off point to explore Acadia. Tabatha was also extremely communicative and helpful! Their property is huge, and we didn’t encounter anyone else during our stay. The brook was dried up since there’s been such a drought, so I can’t even imagine how much more awesome it would’ve been if we had that for our dogs to play in right at the site!

Words cannot describe how breath takingly serene this site is. Claude offers a super convenient set up—site is clean, there were a couple fire canisters we could light to deter bugs, we came to a giant stack of firewood at our disposal. The quarry is absolutely stunning. All you could hear was the stream and breeze with the occasional laughter of other visitors in the distance.
I usually am one to get up in the morning with an eagerness to start my day, but when it was time to go I found myself dragging my feet, admiring the trees. Great space, Claude (and I imagine he has a team) takes wonderful care of the land.
