Also, disc golf and 3 local trails- STREAKED MOUNTAIN TRAIL, PACKARD TRAIL, and the LOWELL TRAIL are within a 10 minute drive.

We purchased this land a few years ago when our neighbors decided to sell. It abuts our property
They used it as a place for their family to
gather and camp on during Maine wonderful summer season. It is a beautiful, quiet spot with a great view and a small pond. Hipcamp lets us share this spot and helps pay our property taxes.
We are located in the western mountains of Maine in a summer community on Porter Lake. There is a beautiful view of New Vineyard mountain from our 3 acre field.
We are going through some growing pains. We currently have no hookups available. We have added a bath house with hot showers which will soon be up and running. The camp sites have been relocated deeper into our property. A loop road behind our private pond provides the access. We will be adding power and water to all our sites as soon as possible. The camping area is fairly private from our neighbors along the road. The site has a small private pond surrounded by trees you can sit and relax near.
You can (walk/bike/drive) the 1/4 mile down the dirt road to the public beach. The beach has a public dock, boat ramp, swim float, picnic tables and grills. Paddle out to the island and try the rope swing with one of our kayaks or canoes.
Be sure to check out the bald eagles that live in the white pine tree just a little farther down the island. You will hear the loons during your stay and possibly see a mother with her babies on her back. There are also ducks and ducklings and geese with gosling paddling about the lake. The state stocks the lake with trout, splake, and salmon if you like to fish. There is plenty to do right here!

Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking.
Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. We camped at Art’s place during an unexpected heat wave. Art greeted us on arrival- we had the whole campground to ourselves- it was wonderful. He provided fresh spring water for drinking as well as a filter on the water spout. He recommended a nearby lake in Norway- we spent the day there and the water temperature was perfect. Note- the land is actually 1/4 mile past his residence and bike shop.

What a beautiful and well laid out location. There are different sections of camping, depending on what you like. Large fields with a very nice little stream off the back of the property where you may be lucky to catch some horses playing in the water. The tenting area looks amazing - amongst apple trees and along the river. The owners are present and attentive. We messaged them about a boisterous neighbor after quiet hours and they not only kindly addressed it at the time, but followed-up the next morning. Bonus; The store has a little of everything you could possibly need.

Very private the view is wonderful we saw deer and turkeys. The concrete pad was easy to set up on and power water electric is right there. The concrete pad needs to be resurfaced when it rained it had deep standing puddles. We will be returning for sure as it is a beautiful place to relax and visit Belgrade lakes.

Art was the best as a host... Responsive and so enthusiastic about his surroundings. The accomodations [up the hill for me] were clean and plentiful. Art even offered to open the cabin for me if I wished. Especially appreciated was the bottled water to refill my cantene as I did a lot of outside work in the sun...nice to know the water was so pure.
The sight is a bit close to the transfer station for my likes; however, for those in tents or the lovely little cabins up the hill this would not be a problem. Also not a problem at night and on the weekends.
Oxford County in Maine is my stomping grounds. I hope many of you will come and visit. You will love Agape!

Art has tried to have anything and everything one might need, like a 50->30 amp adapter. We arrived late at night but Art met us there and made sure we got backed in okay. In the morning we walked up to check out the outpost and outdoor kitchen. Such a fun looking spot for a group of friends or family. Ours dogs loved the trails. Thanks for having us Art, we’ll be back!
