When this area was originally settled, the farm was located on the "highway" from Camden to seasonal pastures in Lincolnville. The trails leading to the park still go by the old foundations that dotted the old Government Road from Camden. The farm has 46 acres of flowing pasture, hardwood forest and flower and vegetable gardens. At the heart of the property is a large farm pond that has been used to water livestock for generations. Beautiful private place with a 360 view of the mountains! Completely impressed by the stone picnic table! The turn is a bit hidden so drive very slowly — we reached the top of the mountain and had to turn around because we went too far. I think the sign is a little hidden within the bushes. Otherwise, such a lovely stay! Would return!

This is our most beloved spot. We love it because of its spectacular view over Maine and the absolute privacy! We have been coming for years and were never disappointed by the place or the host. Rod has always been very forthcoming, helpful and reliable. This time he even gave us a tour to the second spot that he plans to open up next year: another spot with all the privacy you could wish for and an amazing view. If you are looking for a spot that gives you beauty and privacy but also the closeness to Camden and Rockport for getting some hustle and bustle in summer in Maine, you are at the perfect place. We are looking forward to come back again. And we are planning to do that in October. With a camper, it doesn't matter when it gets a little cold at night, because the view is always amazing no matter the season.

We camped in the van site after a day of traveling. We just needed the spot for a night. It was quiet even though other campers were pretty close. It’s a gorgeous area filled with amazing wildlife and birds. The outhouse was quite a trek from our site and it only had a half door where the top was open. I’d recommend bringing your own camping toilet if you’re at a tent or van site here. All in all, I’d recommend the site but only with proper planning.

It was a nice quiet spot. There are solar lights that mark areas. I loved the little seating/fire pit area even though I didn’t get to use it. It looks like it would be a fun place to hang out.

This site was absolutely incredible! We stayed here for one night and would definitely stay here again. We were able to pick some fresh blueberry’s in the morning. The views from the campsite are very nice but loved how the site had a table, chairs, and fire pit. Bugs were not an issue at all. We will definitely be returning in the future to camp here and explore more of the surrounding area.

This is the most beautiful place I have ever camped. I watched the sun set in the west and then watched the full moon rise in the east. In the morning the mists rose from the ponds in the valley to accompany the sunrise. You have the whole place to yourself!

We had an amazing time here. The land is beautiful and we got to enjoy a serene sunset & sunrise. We picked lots of blueberries and appreciated that there were chairs, a fire pit, and a table provided. My partner & I agreed that it was one of the best camping spots we have been to!
