** please note we have a few site options for camping which we are happy to tell you more about! Large RVs and campers are welcome but will likely want to stay in the area before our bridge (we are happy to send pictures). Long campers and RVs that are low to the ground may scrape / bottom out going across the bridge.
WARNING: The driveway leading to the campsite is a long, steep, gravel driveway with a concrete bridge at the bottom. The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV.
In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

I live on 5.5 acres. It's peaceful and quiet and I love it here. I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area. Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway. I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it ;) The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :)
You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch.
You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like.
You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive. The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug.
RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water.

Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here. Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking. As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants. Anything your heart desires.
Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

Rent one tipi or rent the entire village for a birthday party or gathering. Outdoor wedding packages are available! These are 18 foot tipi's surrounded in a nature setting. We have picnic and grilling areas on-site along with a full bathroom and kitchen located at The Tipi Village office, located in a small log cabin. Each tipi has it's own sitting area and firepit, suitable for cooking. The village also has a community firepit where everyone can gather. Renting the entire campground is a great way to have a party or celebration and having exclusive use of this micro-campground. This is a glamping-type of experience with limited heat and AC, beds, carpet, and of course an electric fireplace!

The Cottle Cabin was wonderful. It was very clean and has comfortable sleeping space for up to six people. The downstairs bedroom features a cozy queen‑size bed, and the loft area provides additional sleeping space that’s perfect for kids, teens, or anyone who enjoys a tucked‑away, cabin‑style place to sleep.
The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The front porch is perfect for sitting outside and listening to the wildlife, and the campfire area—with its sturdy picnic table—made our evenings especially enjoyable.
The host is incredibly accommodating, checks in to make sure you have everything you need, and is available if anything comes up.
If you’re not interested in tent camping and don’t have an RV, this cabin is the ideal alternative.
We’re already looking forward to returning in the fall or winter to enjoy a fire in the woodstove.

The camping site near the river was such a site! Area was clean and homey, host was very friendly and a good guide! Everything was close by. Do bring water shoes or sandals since it's mainly rocks near the riverside. Bring your hammock too there are some good trees! Will definitely be back in the future❤️

We really enjoyed the creek side camping. The site was quiet and loaded with lightening bugs as the sun went down. In the morning the birds were abundant. We opted to buy some wood for a fire and felt like we got a good amount. The host was friendly and met us as we arrived and gave us a quick overview of the entire property and where the restroom was. If you rent this site make sure you check the creek bed for fossils. We found lots.

Keven’s farm was a fantastic spot to stay for our overnight trip driving through Kentucky. He was very friendly and welcoming giving us a lay of the property when we arrived. Jennifer’s camp spot is awesome! There’s a variety of options for tent camping and my group loved our setup, complete with fire ring. They paid attention to details and gave us great instructions for finding our site. The shared bathroom and shower worked out great for everyone. Would stay here again myself and definitely recommend it!

We loved tent camping on this land while attending Railbird. It’s close to the venue but still felt like we were miles away from the city. Our campsite was nice, with a place to park close by, a flat area for our tent, and a good fire pit. We paid for firewood and Jennifer stacked it right there for us. She said it was their busiest weekend but the various campsites were far enough away to give some privacy and quiet at all times. The bathroom access was nice to have, and the shower had plenty of hot water. We also enjoyed exploring the various walking trails that were full of little surprises along the way. Overall a great experience!

This was my first time renting on Hipcamp and it could not have been a better experience. Keven was a phenomenal host, incredibly hospitable and very kind. My girlfriend and I stood and talked to him while petting his donkeys as if they were dogs. This is an animal lovers dream and an easy 30 minute drive from Lexington. We will be back!

Jenn and Tyler are great hosts! The location of their place is absolutely perfect for access to all things Lexington. The property is really beautiful and the trails they have back in the woods are fun to explore. It's really nice to have access to their inside shower and bathroom and the port-a-potty is the cleanest one I've ever used!! We have stayed here 2 yrs in a row and will be coming back again. I highly recommend:)
