Weekend Trip to Kinner Kamping

The friends theme was amazing. It was such an amazing experience. Bathroom and shower situation was unique for sure but doable. It was great watching the friends DVDs there

Weekend Trip to Misty Bottoms

I really like the set-up of this place! The camp site is nice and level with direct access to the river. It was quiet and peaceful during my stay. Tena had great communication prior to my visit, and showed us where everything was located upon arrival. I hope to visit again later in summer and paddle on one of my favorite rivers in all of Kentucky.

Weekend Trip to Kinner Kamping

We loved the Friends camper! Everything was well thought out! They even had the friends episodes on DVD and we watched them as we snuggled in for the night! The outside is adorable and has the cutest little lights. They have card games that are friends themed as well! Every detail was perfect for the theme! The only thing that would have made it better would have been a tiny microwave! The hosts are the absolute sweetest people and we would rent from them anytime!

6 nights at Misty Bottoms

Our family had a truly memorable week at Misty Bottoms. We brought our camper and stayed on-site, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun-filled getaway. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful—wide open fields, a peaceful river nearby, and the most stunning sunrises each morning. Waking up to that view every day felt like a dream. Our kids had a blast exploring the area and playing outdoors. There’s a large pole barn on the property with a clean bathroom that includes a shower, which made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. The barn provided much-needed shade during the hotter parts of the day, and we were pleasantly surprised that it had toys and space for the kids to play while we relaxed. The hosts, Travis and Tina, were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. They made us feel at home right away and were always available if we needed anything, yet gave us the space to enjoy our trip. Their warm hospitality really added to the experience. I especially enjoyed taking quiet walks along the river in the mornings—it was peaceful, grounding, and a perfect way to start the day. The whole property was very well-kept, peaceful, and full of natural beauty. We absolutely loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Misty Bottoms is a hidden gem—perfect for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing escape.

I had The Best experience at Plantasia! Phil and Sacha and family are beyond wonderful. The animals were an absolute delight, and the land is exquisite. I didn't want to leave!

Quiet and peaceful sitting next to the river in our tent. We enjoyed a warm fire while relaxing. Price was fair and owner was friendly. We recently stayed at another camp not far away and there were SxS and 4 wheelers riding around all night making in hard to sleep. At Rockcastle we had no issues and were able to relax!

True definition of secluded in nature. Was able to get in the creek and follow for miles all directions. Crystal clear waters flowing from up top and all the history it carries with it! Nothing but the sounds of deer calls for bed down, owls, the wind and the trees speaking to you, and stars at night. It was definitely a heavy feeling to have to leave, but I can’t wait to get back again this season and do some more exploring. I will say this is a primitive campers advantage for sure. The wind up in the mountain can cut and rain can come in at any moment. Temps about 10 degrees or so colder than actual. I prefer cold weather camping myself but if you’re not confident in your primitive skills, I’d stay to the warmer months. All in all, can’t wait to get back to this 125 acre beauty. Thank you for sharing what you have with us!

Weekend Trip to Plantasia Homestead at Anglin Falls

Very Peaceful atmosphere, at night all you can hear is the valley stream, the perfect amount of noise! Very friendly people and very friendly animals! Would absolutely recommend staying here again, although next time I think I'll wait till it's a bit warmer outside.

We had an incredible stay at the Old Mansion Farm in Versailles, Kentucky! Michelle and Curt were absolutely wonderful hosts—welcoming, accommodating, and always ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The property itself is beautiful, offering a peaceful and unique getaway in a stunning location. From the charming historic atmosphere to the thoughtful touches throughout our visit, every aspect exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to stay with them again and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable Hipcamp experience!
