I live on 5.5 acres. It's peaceful and quiet and I love it here. I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area. Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway. I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it ;) The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :)
You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch.
You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like.
You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive. The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug.
RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water.

Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here. Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking. As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants. Anything your heart desires.
Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

Long campers and RVs that are low to the ground may scrape / bottom out going across the bridge.
WARNING: The driveway leading to the campsite is a long, steep, gravel driveway with a concrete bridge at the bottom. The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV.
In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

This land has previously been a tobacco farm, a hay farm, and is now home to a few beef cattle. Our lodging features treehouses, yurts, a bunkhouse, retro camper, water/electric hook-ups, and campsites. We also host weddings, retreats, and other events so advance reservations are required.
For insurance purposes and the safety of our own livestock and pets, we do not allow guests to bring their pets/ESAs onto the property. Prepare to UNPLUG as we do not have cell service or wifi (there IS a landline for guests to make phone calls located in the Community Farmhouse).
All guests from tent to treehouse have access to our solar-powered Community Farmhouse featuring a fully-stocked chef-inspired kitchen, restrooms, coin-op laundry, and upstairs multi-purpose room with a library and board games. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with additional cooking space including a grill, microwave, and sink (sink is closed in the winter so the pipes don’t freeze). Next to the Farmhouse is a massive pavilion with picnic tables for al fresco dining and firewood bundles to purchase. BRING CASH!
Our seasonal bath house is generally open from April or May to October or November based on the prevailing temps. There are 4 flush toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 hot showers. The floors are concrete so we recommend shower shoes and you'll want to bring your own towels and shampoo/soap.
The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge.

This site was such a treat! The covered spot was very spacious and the bathroom was very clean. They trully though of everything. There was two hammocks, a swing, a line with two dog chains attatched, and even some board games to play. We will certainly stat at thos area again in the future!

We selected Cozy Camp as our first trip of the season - to get some much needed rest with all the comforts of home. The covered structure was a plus, having sewer is always an added bonus along with the extra bathroom! But the best thing about it all was the quiet, beautiful scenery! The trip was relaxing and out dogs loved the dog run!! We will definitely be back!!

You should check out this place! It's a nice level and spacious site. There is a nice bathroom and shower located just a few steps away from the camp site.
The access to the green river on the property is top notch. I recommend it to any kayak anglers who like to fish streams!

Very unique spot. Every possible comfort you could ask for while having a large space all to yourself. Hosts were helpful and recommended a great local restaurant (Mammo D's). Very quiet single-lane road with few houses along the way. Good dog walking road. Definitely recommend Savvy's Retreat.

I loved this campsite! The atmosphere was breathtaking. Your on top of a huge hill that overlooks the entire neighborhood of small farms. There was a train you could hear in the distance but I felt it added to the experience. I felt like I was nestled in a beautiful nook of the countryside. I highly recommend!

It was a quick trip for us to do some hiking so we didn't get to see much of the place but we would definitely stay here again. Bella’s place was a peaceful overnight stop for me. Getting there includes about 5 miles down a river bottom road and the rustic sites do not have mature trees, but it was great open space for my dog and I with not many other occupants. The overall communication, on-site water and electric, and clean dump station were much appreciated.

The tent camping on top of the hill was absolutely perfect! Loved the views waking up every morning and the gentle mooing from the cows. Natalie and her husband supplied me with more than enough firewood (that burnt very well) for the couple cold nights and the cookie shack was an awesome added bonus. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the river gorge area or visiting bourbon country as they’re both just a short drive.

We only stayed one night, as we were traveling. The sight was large with a beautiful river behind us. My dogs enjoyed being off leash. The only bathroom appeard to be a family bathroom as there was shampoo, soap and a used towel hanging up, but we didn't have to use it. Overall it was a good experience.

Lovely, well-kept, and affordable little backyard campground with fun themes for each site. Morning views were very much worth leaving my tent’s rainfly open and letting in the unexpected fog and dew :)
The location of the campground is very close to a small town, but it felt much quieter and more remote than that considering the expanse of farmland around.
If I am ever back in town (which I really hope to be), I would love to come back!
