Rent one tipi or rent the entire village for a birthday party or gathering. Outdoor wedding packages are available! These are 18 foot tipi's surrounded in a nature setting. We have picnic and grilling areas on-site along with a full bathroom and kitchen located at The Tipi Village office, located in a small log cabin. Each tipi has it's own sitting area and firepit, suitable for cooking. The village also has a community firepit where everyone can gather. HomeGrown HideAways is a farm, lodging, and event facility nestled in a hundred-acre holler in the Appalachian foothills near Berea, Ky. Our lodging features treehouses, yurts, a bunkhouse, retro camper, water/electric hook-ups, and campsites. We also host weddings, retreats, and other events so advance reservations are required.
For insurance purposes and the safety of our own livestock and pets, we do not allow guests to bring their pets/ESAs onto the property. Prepare to UNPLUG as we do not have cell service or wifi (there IS a landline for guests to make phone calls located in the Community Farmhouse).
All guests from tent to treehouse have access to our solar-powered Community Farmhouse featuring a fully-stocked chef-inspired kitchen, restrooms, coin-op laundry, and upstairs multi-purpose room with a library and board games. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with additional cooking space including a grill, microwave, and sink (sink is closed in the winter so the pipes don’t freeze). Next to the Farmhouse is a massive pavilion with picnic tables for al fresco dining and firewood bundles to purchase. BRING CASH!
Our seasonal bath house is generally open from April or May to October or November based on the prevailing temps. There are 4 flush toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 hot showers. The floors are concrete so we recommend shower shoes and you'll want to bring your own towels and shampoo/soap.
The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge.

• Reservations from May 1 through October 31 that include a Friday or Saturday night require full payment and are 100% non-refundable.
• Dual Sports Weekend reservations require a three-night minimum stay, full payment, and are non-refundable.
• Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends require a two-night minimum stay, full payment, and are non-refundable.

Wow where to start. The farm is beautiful. So much land to hike and enjoy nature. The hosts were so kind and helpful with everything. The bunkhouse was great - with good sleeping bags and some blankets it works great in winter. The farmhouse/kitchen was incredible. So cozy and everything you could need to cook great meals and feel at home. Honestly could not recommend this place more. Affordable, beautifully designed, warm, and so many thoughtful details like yummy coffee and tea. They have so many options to stay- great place for everybody!

We used this spot as a home base for our yearly hunting trip. It was perfect for what we needed. Everyone on the farm was friendly and welcoming! You’ll get to know the horses and cats as they wander around the farm and sometimes come up to you to say hello. The cabin was a great common area and place to wind down after a long day of being out in the woods.

This place was amazing! The Nook was great. I had to two teenagers so it was nice to have space in the cabin. The kitchen was a dream! Everything you could need or want. The land line was perfect so my nephew could call home. There are little extras you can purchase as needed. The kids enjoyed trying the Ale8 drink. Honestly not a single complaint. If you are thinking about staying here just go ahead and book it!

This place is a gem! We stayed in the Nook and loved the cool breeze through the screen windows and hearing the rushing creek right next to us. It's an easy walk over to the bath house and the shared kitchen - which made preparing food feel luxurious. The Nook was private and quiet. The whole property is beautiful and clearly maintained with love. We really appreciated the clear signage that allowed us to utilize shared spaces respectfully and to navigate the property with ease. Apparently there's amazing hiking nearby which we didn't have time to explore this time but we would love to return.

My kids and I had a wonderful time over their fall break at Homegrown Hideaways. I cannot recommend it enough! It’s perfect for any level of camping, from primitive sites to BYO RV to renting one or staying in a treehouse or a yurt or in our case the Nook bunkhouse. Everything was super clean and the chefs kitchen was a godsend for making hot meals. It’s a choose your own adventure kind of place— cook over a fire if you want— there’s firewood and starter, or just make s’mores and cook the rest of your food inside. Bringing our own food and having fridge and freezer space to store it made it possible to have a very delightful and economical 4 night stay! Jessa and Nathan work really hard to make the place accessible and welcoming. They’re wonderful people! My kids really enjoyed rock hounding in the creek beds, hiking around the property, and playing board games in the game room. We would definitely return and have already recommended it highly to everyone we’ve met since. The other campers we met while there were all also very kind and fun to hang out with! Jessa and Nathan were very accommodating and wonderful hosts.

Susan’s cabins are not only some of the most well curated and furnished get-aways, she is also an incredibly kind host. You enter the place like a new peaceful realm and you leave feeling like you found another home. The surrounding land is quite scenic, our pup had a lot of fun running free and we enjoyed the serene privacy of the Riverside Blue Cabin. We stayed at the nook and it was great for us. The bathouse was clean and the showers were warm! We didn't need to use the community kitchen but checked it out and they had everything you could need.

Beautiful setting! Jessa and Nathan have created a comfortable, clean, peaceful spot to unplug and unwind. Super clean outhouses and comfy beds in the Nook. It is nice to have access to the community kitchen if you need it and gorgeous smelling indoor toilets there as well. If you want to be completely alone you can have that as well here. There is a great trail and 2 of the sweetest dogs to accompany you if you want! Jessa and Nathan are very quick to respond and super accommodating. Highly recommend!
