Our location is also home to our fantasy destination, The Fun Farm. Not only is the scenery replete with natural beauty - the pond, the fields, the sledding hill, the nature trail through the forest - but also a setting to engage the imagination!
Additional services may be arranged on-site. For example, who would you like to have breakfast with? A superhero? A princess? MORE NOTES ABOUT THE CAMPSITE: We're flexible with wherever you would like to pitch your tent, but the spots we have established are next to our cabin (where the lighting is best and the ground is flattest.) Parking is most easily found next to these sites as well (and the lighting is also excellent.) Also, in the near vicinity, a shared firepit is readily available and can accommodate at least 12 people.

Each site is in a wooded, shaded area with a flat area on the ground to place a single large tent. Each site has its own fire ring and a small wooden table. There is wood on the ground you may use for firewood, and ample twigs etc on the ground for kindling (do not cut any trees or branches off trees). There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There are 2 porta potties near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast.
We do provide a large trash bin near the porta potties for trash disposal. DO NOT throw trash into fire pits or burn barrels in the woods.
Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you CANNOT drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles!
(We reserve the right to assign you to a different (but equally beautiful) campsite in the case of property maintenance concerns, recent rain or weather conditions etc). All guests must be part of a registered group!

Fallen Tree Co is located directly next to Chain O’Lakes State Park, were you can swim, hike, fish, kayak, etc.! Your space has access to a shared bathroom, shower, kitchen, dining room, living room, etc. Be sure to grab a coffee or a hot tea and walk our beautifully lit trails that will give you a sense of peace and maybe a bit of magic. Home Sweet Home, tucked in the heart of agriculture and lake life, Angola is a wonderful small town in the north east corner of Indiana. Songdog Meadows is our little piece of joy, from morning swims in the pond, long walks with our retrievers and sunsets to take your breath away, it is truly and deeply a treasure we cherish. The property host a variety of apple trees, open grass land, and a large cluster of trees surrounding a 3/4 acre pond, while being surrounded by wood lots on three sides and open fields to the west. It is truly a peaceful haven in a rural country area. Learn more about this land:Hang your hammock or pitch a tent just outside our 3/4 acre pond. There are two basins with a channel and a peaceful tree filled grass area between. The pond is in the corner of the 10 acre lot where we live at the end of a dirt road with only a small amount of traffic. The camp site is walk in on mowed pathways, with the driveway and parking area less than 200 yards away. There is a security light so you will never be in complete darkness. A stone fire pit and picnic table sit just off shore of the swimming area of the pond. There are several wide mowed pathways surrounded by prairie grasses, shaded by large trees. The area can easily handle several tents, hammocks and small RVs. The area is rural farm land with a handful of houses on the short dirt road. But this property is surrounded by wood lots and open fields. Two neighbors houses are visible but separated by trees. Our house is visible from the pond and camping area.

Small hobby sheep farm, with a sheep pasture surrounded by woods. There are two shepherd's huts, three tent sites, a small fishing pond with a log cabin and a quarter of a mile hiking trail. Blue Water Lake is located next to the Salamonie River with fishing access in the lake or the river. Blue Water Lake was previously Baltes Stone Quarry deepest point 30 ft. Lime stone edged with a straight drop off in most places. Beach area available for swimming access. No lifeguards on duty, swim at your own risk. Primitive camping available. Out house available. Less than a mile from Montpelier, a golf cart community. Small town still host Montpelier Speedway one of the last dirt tracks in Indiana. Races on most Saturday nights. You can also get a round of golf in at Bluewater Golf course 9 hole course located across the road from the lake. The land now covered by Montpelier used to be a part of the Native American Miami Nation's Godfroy Reserve. Giant Indian statue at our town center featured on Parks and Reaction TV Show.

Tinus’s campsite made our first camping experience feel incredibly safe, comfortable, and welcoming. He guided us all the way into the campsite and patiently shared helpful instructions and insights, even late at night around 11 PM. Truly a terrific value for the experience offered.
The campsite itself is very well maintained and easy to drive through, even with a regular car. The campsites are spaced far apart, which gives great privacy and makes the stay feel peaceful and relaxing. There are clean, flushable and potable toilets throughout the campsite, and as a woman, I especially appreciated how clean and well maintained the washrooms were.
Tinus had already placed kindlings inside the firewood, which made setting up the fire so much easier. There was ample firewood available, and he also offered fresh farm eggs, ice, and access to the pond for campers. The pond is beautiful, and guests can swim in it as well.
Waking up to the cute sheep in the morning made the experience even more special. The campsite felt safe, homely, and thoughtfully managed throughout our stay. As an added bonus, there was good cell coverage too.
Would definitely recommend staying here!

My mother and I spent her 79th birthday “glamping” in the Firefly Nest, which turned out to be only 10 minutes from our house in town. It ended up being unseasonably cold with rain showers, so it was a real treat to roll in and have everything ready for us - no tent to pitch, and the firewood already split and under a roof.
The rain cleared by supper time and we enjoyed the birdsong, the deer we spotted, and the rustling of leaves in this beautiful patch of woods… and the flush toilet, actual beds, and heater/fridge/lights were also quite welcome.
I’ll be recommending Tim’s place for out-of-town visitors who prefer an alternative to hotels, since it’s both closer to my house and offers more privacy than any of the Fort Wayne or New Haven hotels/motels.
Thanks for a delightful stay.

It feels very secluded while being close to town if you need anything
The owners are very polite and helpful while not intrusive if your looking for a place to camp in fort Wayne this is the best one I've found here**I live in fort Wayne so it's extra nice to just run home and grab something or escape the cold**or heat

Shawn and Toby really care about the property and their visitors, and are very friendly and responsive. Shawn's thoughtful approach to making a pleasant experience for visitors is evident from the placement of the tent sites, croquet field, driveways, and dumping station. He went out of his way to make sure we knew everything we needed to, from the Thursday trivia night at the Local pub, where to get the best ice cream or pizza, and where to pick up sundries. Everyone we met were very friendly.
We stayed in the first trailer rental of the season and he made us feel at home, though also gave us our privacy. The site is very peaceful in general, though just off the highway and surrounded by farms, with easy access and directions. While we were here, we took advantage of visiting museums, the Ohio Caverns, Indian Lake. Shawn is a great guide and he and Toby take pride in maintaining the beautiful site. Thank you!

Very pretty land. We preferred the sites with gravel. Full hookups! Larry went above and beyond to help us during our stay. He was very available, reliable and attentative. The weather was not cooperating so we couldn't enjoy all the site had to offer. We highly recommend Larry's spots!
