Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid.
Some info about the property:
-we DO NOT have water or power hookups
-we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough)
-we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by)
-none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly)
-most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads.
We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park).
We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

Farm animals include horses, cattle, hogs, chickens, goats, bees, stocked ponds, gardens and much more. We have strategically placed signs throughout the property to help you identify potential neighbors. If you desire the company of ducks, consider setting up camp near our picturesque duck pond. For those who prefer the rustic crowing of roosters to a phone alarm, we have four chicken coops dispersed across the farm. Our horses freely roam the front pastures. The cows enjoy grazing on lush grass and taking refreshing dips in the ponds. They also relish watching the sunset from the hill's vantage point, as it offers the best view on the farm.
We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show where the camping site sits on the property. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures.
Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower.

Hello Campers,
We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads.
We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park).
We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

We have a working farm with sweeping views of Lookout mountain and only 12 minutes from all the comforts of downtown Chattanooga. Our expansive 120-acre property provides campers with the freedom to choose their camping spots anywhere on the farm.
Farm animals include horses, cattle, hogs, chickens, goats, bees, stocked ponds, gardens and much more. We have strategically placed signs throughout the property to help you identify potential neighbors. If you desire the company of ducks, consider setting up camp near our picturesque duck pond. For those who prefer the rustic crowing of roosters to a phone alarm, we have four chicken coops dispersed across the farm. Our horses freely roam the front pastures. The cows enjoy grazing on lush grass and taking refreshing dips in the ponds. They also relish watching the sunset from the hill's vantage point, as it offers the best view on the farm.
We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show where the camping site sits on the property. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures.
Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower.

We loved this place so much we stayed an extra night. A beautiful, quiet spot on the bank of the While Chimney River, Belle Bluff Island campground is high on our return-someday list. Whether it’s fishing from the dock or listening to Richard, aka “The Mayor,” tell stories, this is a place to go if you’re looking to kick back and relax. Owner Ron McIntosh is a real gentleman - he graciously let us upgrade to an unoccupied larger site with a full view of the river and marsh. Two big thumbs up!

Weekend Trip to Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)
The location was amazing sleeping with the stream right behind this I had beautiful sounds and energy. We can go to Byrd call Flow water was awesome. Not to mention that Sieff‘s cooking every morning was top-notch. I’m plant based and so he accommodated the alterations to the menu and it was absolutely beautiful. There was tons of activities, nearby, wineries, beautiful hikes, and even more attractions that didn’t take away from the scenery that we were in. I will definitely be staying here again.

It was probably the most relaxing setting I’ve camped in. All you see are the fenced in areas with horses grazing, and I got to see a lesson in barrel racing in the afternoon. No amenities, but if you’re self contained it’s ideal.

For a county / municipal park, you'll think you're on private land. Situated between a pretty lake and a quiet airport, these sites are quiet. I was the only one there for a week, and only occasionally did a local walked roam around this side of the lake from the public park on the other side.
This is as quiet and secluded as any other Hipcamp park you'll find. Definitely give this one a chance if you're near the Fitzgerald area.

Janna was the perfect host! My grandson loved camping near all the animals, and was thrilled to be invited to bottle-feed the Highland calf! He met donkeys, goats, cows, mini horses, bunnies, and chickens, and loved having the farm dogs follow him around. The site was perfect, although unlevel (bring lots of leveling blocks), with 30 amp electric, water, and sewer. A fire pit and picnic table completed the beautiful site under the magnolia tree. We can't wait to go back again, and highly recommend this farm campground!

We my grandson and I loved it. It our first camping trip. It was so peaceful and serene. The fish wasn't bitting but it was so relaxing. The owners were absolutely great they made sure we were ok the entire time. We'll definitely be back soon.

Great campground tucked away with a quiet, charming feel. Close proximity to nearby islands such as Sapelo, Blackbeard and many others for exploring. The campground is accompanied by a Marina making trips like these super streamline especially in the event you need to dock a boat or fuel up on gas. The bathrooms and showers were clean!!!
Side note - the owner was down to earth, super friendly, and very interesting to talk to! One of those rare, wise storytellers with a wealth of knowledge, you just want to sit and listen!! Super relatable, very cool guy! Also have to mention the Mayor, "Mayor Richard" that is, who welcomed us and got us quickly situated. Really cool man, extremely helpful, and fun! We'll be back!

This was our first time here and on hip camp. The property was beautiful and we had the whole place to ourselves. The bathroom with shower was definitely worth it and very nice. The drive was easy and accessible. We had no problems finding it. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a great stay! The farm is beautiful and spacious with lots of friendly horses and goats to visit. Wade and Willow (the dogs who work at the farm) gave us a tour and were so sweet and friendly. Site was great with all the hookups we needed, great location for sightseeing around Georgia.
