We had a blast here! I have already raved about this campsite to multiple friends. The pictures don’t actually do the grounds justice. It is better than pictures. Our friend rented a deluxe Safari Tent and it was lovely and just as nice as pictured. The bathhouse was very clean and well lit at night. If you love disc golf, or even you don’t, this camping spot is for you!

I travel for paddle boarding and recently stopped here to camp for the night. It was a quiet a peaceful night on the property. The host was very accommodating and helpful. If you prepare properly for the trip, and the camping gods are on your side, everything should be nice and easy. Wasting lots of money on expensive “ cheap “ hotels is not the move. Pulling over and spending the night with Mother Nature can be a great option. Spend the extra money on your trip or ape into some risky investment with big upside potential. Or just save it. Either way, QUIT wasting money on hotels along your journey. Thanks Johnny B for the great stay and conversation, it was appreciated!

A pleasant place to relax and the view of the pond was peaceful. I was able to get good internet signal with T-Mobile and was able to watch Netflix.

Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, a piece of Heaven

We had a fantastic time at this campsite this past weekend! The location was absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful water that was perfect for fishing. There were plenty of fish to catch, which made for an enjoyable experience on the lake. Bill, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He made it so easy for us to find our site and settle in, which really helped us start our stay on a high note. The only thing to note is that this place can get quite crowded on the weekends. There were a lot of people around playing music, so if you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway, this might not be the best spot during peak times. We also had a run-in with some fire ants, which is to be expected when you’re in nature, but just a heads-up in case you’re allergic or sensitive to bites. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and despite the minor setbacks, we would absolutely recommend this campsite to others. It’s a great spot for fishing, and the hospitality from Bill really made it memorable!

Weekend Trip to Magnolia Campground at Hixson Farms

Janna was very flexible when making sure we were accommodated. The farm offered all amenities including firewood and eggs! Very friendly environment. Have to come back since while visiting it mostly raining.

3 nights at Piney Hills Campground

The platform is well-built and has tent tie-down anchors, which were very handy and avoided the need for tent stakes. The site is not crowded like state parks can be, yet within eyesight of other sites through trees, which is fine. The bathrooms are nice and were kept clean and stocked. (Although, the automatic lights were a tad annoying when they turned off while you’re still in the bathroom.) The site is *just* far enough away from the office where the WiFi becomes pretty spotty. However, we’re camping to unplug, right?! Nonetheless, it was a pleasant stay except for the stupid train that woke me up several times in the middle of multiple nights during our stay. But the owners can’t really help that - who are very nice and accommodating.

This was such a great stop! Lisa and James were so nice, their little farm was well kept and my kids loved the animals. We stayed in one of their RV spots, the facility was really nice, hot showers, laundry, clean bathrooms and they have a dump station on site!! I will be back here.

Weekend Trip to Glam Camp At The Old Dairy

My wife and I stayed in the Silver Meteor for two nights and loved it. My concerns going in were the temperature and space, neither of which were any issue. The location of the campsite is very nice. It is a short drive into Savannah, but an even shorter drive to Thunderbolt, which I suggest you check out. When we pulled up to the location it took us a few minutes to find the camper, but it wasn't a hassle. The campsite is very nice. Aside from the camper itself you will have your own hammock and fir pit. There was plenty of firewood on the property which we used to have small fires while we were there. The campsite also shares a small charcoal grill with the other campers, just get your own charcoal. The camper itself is small, but more than enough for two people who don't plan on hanging out inside all day. The bed was good for two people, though I could see it being tight of you are taller than 6'. There's a small sink, and kitchen area plus a table with a bit of storage. The AC unit was amazing, it was about 80 outside (early April) and we could practically freeze in the camper if we ran it at full blast. The campsite shares two bathrooms and a shower with the other sites. This was no problem for us and we were i.pressed with how nice these facilities were. There are horses on the site which we said hello to as well as some good hiking. I would highly recommend this as a clamping option.

We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show some of the popular locations campers have enjoyed in the past, but it is first come first serve. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. If you are picky with the grass, these are pastures on a farm and we do not cut them. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures. Please respect farm rules and do not camp in a pasture with cattle and do not enter any gated area without speaking to someone on the farm who knows which fields the cattle is in. Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower. Fire rings and chopped wood are ready for you to borrow and return by the outdoor shower area. Our outdoor shower is located by the yurts. If you are interested in a more posh experience, we have yurts and tiny homes for rent. We have a pool that is available to rent privately during your stay. All sites have a firepit and a simple log bench. The sites that are not fairly level for tenting have grommets installed on trees to hang hammocks. All five primitive sites are isolated from the glamping tents on the property. There are no vehicles allowed in the camping areas.

We are very close to Atlanta, GA, Red Top Mountain State Park, The Booth Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the City of Cartersville, GA. Enjoy our local winery and brewery as well. GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season. We also grow figs, herbs garlic and veggies. Please note this is an RV site only no tent camping and no latrine tents allowed. We also have a one dog policy. Thank you for looking at our property.
