Historic Fitzgerald is 2 miles away with plenty of restaurants and fast food. Great place to lay over between long trips to Florida right off Hwy 129. Ask about discounts for longer stays.

Peace and quiet located a mile outta town. Full hook up and site layout was perfect. The fence surrounding the site had a few places for my dog to get through. And she sure did. Overall was wonderful. Thanks Dover.

Quite an awesome experience.

Lazy Acres was exactly what we were looking for, quiet and away from it all. The sites were large, level, and beautifully landscaped. Situated on a rise at next to a fenced cattle field, the views were very appealing and the cows/calves were fun to watch. Dover met us soon after we arrived and offered any help we might need. He also came by to say 'so long' as we were closing up camp to leave. With only 2 sites and several miles from town, we were away from the crowds and were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Awesome experience.

Loved this camp!

Dover is the perfect host. We loved the site, it gave us everything we wanted. Plenty of room for our bird dog to run and play, perfect for sleeping late! Lots of interesting little towns around to enjoy. We’ll be back! Thanks Dover.

Lazy Acres

It’s a beautiful, private small campground. When I say small, there’s only two campsites. But there’s actually a lot of area. And it’s well-kept. And the owner is very sociable and helpful. The water, electricity and sewer are very convenient and high quality. We scavenged firewood and had a beautiful little campfire in a nice fire pit which is provided. We enjoyed our stay. In the morning we ate a little breakfast outdoors and heard 14 different bird songs. You’re just about a half mile from any road noise so that is not a problem.

Beautiful Sunrise

We loved camping here at Dover's retreat. The sunrise and sunsets are always beautiful. Being able to walk down the road and watch the beautiful horses at the horse ranch has been an amazing addition to our stay at Lazy Acres. I would highly recommend Dover's place if you're only passing through South Ga or looking for a quiet place to relax for a few days. His hospitality has been delightful. Sincerely, The Jones'
