I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.

This site is a slice of heaven with the beautiful pastures, huge trees and quiet country setting! We took our reactive dogs, but the cows kept their distance so we didn’t have any issues! There was also enough service to FaceTime in for a family party we were missing! Julie was accommodating letting us hook up to their shed as a back up source of power. Highly recommend staying here!!

Directions to River Ranch were clear and concise. Doni was a very good host, explaining everything clearly and graciously opened his land for us to explore. This was our 2nd stay at the farm and just as great as the first. Our 37’ fifth wheel fits and levels out on the gravel RV pad wonderfully. 50 amp power is a plus. We had a couple of busy days and it was so nice to go back to the farm to unwind and enjoy the scenery. I can’t wait til the next time we have the opportunity to visit again.

Janna was the perfect host! My grandson loved camping near all the animals, and was thrilled to be invited to bottle-feed the Highland calf! He met donkeys, goats, cows, mini horses, bunnies, and chickens, and loved having the farm dogs follow him around. The site was perfect, although unlevel (bring lots of leveling blocks), with 30 amp electric, water, and sewer. A fire pit and picnic table completed the beautiful site under the magnolia tree. We can't wait to go back again, and highly recommend this farm campground!

Awesome little spot to get away and relax. This place had water, power, sewer, and internet. The huge field as your back drop is a nice touch. The fire pit is very large, but if you want to have a fire I would recommend bringing some wood. There is not much dead wood around the property to source for a nice fire. Overall a great place to spend a weekend and I would definitely stay again.

It was very peaceful with the exception of a loud vehicle going down the road occasionally. We would definitely stay again and recommend highly.
The gravel parking pad is level side to side, but is not very wide and then slopes off.
We loved having the string lights since it is very dark at night. We also appreciated being able to turn them off when we went to bed. No annoying lights while you are sleeping. Not much shade this time of year, but would be pretty shady in the summer I would imagine.
If you have a 30 amp camper, be sure you have an adapter for 50 amp.
We got there just as it was getting dark and had a little trouble finding it. The address is on the fence, but we couldn’t see it from the direction we came in. So, we had a bit of an adventure towing our 36 travel trailer down some narrow windy roads in the almost dark.
The turn in from one direction is a bit tight for bigger rigs like ours. The driveway is not 90 degrees with the road so one way you just angle off the road but from the other way you have to turn sharp back to the right.
