Hi there, I am Kyle Varnell along with my beautiful wife Kassy and our six children, Elijah, Nehemiah, Abigail, Noah, Maryam, and Lydia. We began our farming venture because we want to raise healthy food for our family.  It started with meat chickens and has moved us to more and more of the farming lifestyle.  Our livestock now includes poultry, cattle, and pork. The farm is helping us to become more self-sufficient while improving the land and the quality of food available to our family, friends, and neighbors.

The host is a good human. The site is tucked away from road and offers plenty of privacy. It's a pretty area. I'd definitely stay there again. Convenient for anyone traveling or just looking for a quick rural getaway. Definitely recommend.

This was a decent cheap spot to park for a night. The grass was more overgrown in the pictures, so I didn’t explore much, as there were tons of mosquitoes/ticks. The big plus was great cell signal, and the sunrise view!

We watched the Sun set and Full Moon rise from our campsite as the firefly’s came out in the meadows. The campsite was perfect for our needs* quiet, peaceful and private. We awoke to sounds of fish jumping in the pond. Our hosts provided wood AND kindling for our campfire. Thank you for that!

Such a beautiful site - we fell asleep watching the fireflies in the branches of the pines and listening to the frogs singing in the little pond, and woke up to so many birds singing and the sun rise. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful little spot with a small stocked pond. We enjoyed our 3 days here even tho it rained almost the whole time and we got soaked...lol Would definitely return and recommend.

Kyle was very easy to work with. The site was perfect for us with a small pond onsite and even a porta potty! We were able to to enjoy quiet evenings by the campfires and loved watching the horses next door.

Have stayed here multiple times. Very peaceful and spacious site with a spot to have fire with seating. Close to a road, but not many cars drive by.

Our second visit showed us once again how welcoming Kyle and his family are. The country view is a wonderful getaway for my wife and I after 52 years of marriage. We will visit again and listen to the croaking of the frogs in the pond.

Great hosts. Felt like family when I met both Kyle and his wife. Had booked Majestic Maple site but Peaceful Pines was available so Kyle offered it because it better suited our camping rig (converted 6x10 cargo trailer). Beautiful country setting at a nice pond overlooking a valley landscape. A slice of rural America in God's country.

Very peaceful spot. Kyle was laid back and very accomodating. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and burn off steam. Nice little farm store a short walk from the tent spots.

Nice little camping spot next to the pond, love to support a homesteading family, there is a state park nearby with hiking and other amenities, it's easy to navigate to and it's right off a quiet road, there is houses nearby but they weren't a bother.

This camp site is a grassy field a couple houses down the road from the farm itself. It's a beautiful, peaceful cite. Kyle was helpful and responsive when I reached out about camping at the last minute. Unfortunately, we chose to camp the day after a big rainstorm and our large vehicle got stuck in the mud. Kyle was really understanding and wonderfully helpful. In the end, it took both his efforts and a tow truck to get us out. We would definitely camp here again (but probably not right after a big storm).

Kyle was quick to respond to my messages. I was needing a place to pitch a roof top tent that night. He made it easy and was very accommodating to my needs and a rather late arrival. Definitely will stay again when in the area

Great place to camp overnight on the way to FL. Neighborhood dogs seem to accustomed to begging. lol Got there at dusk and left at dawn.

Perfect for what I needed! Beautiful environment for a truck-tent set up midway through a road trip from Alabama to New York. Insanely affordable, and Kyle was helpful and responsive. If you’re a light sleeper you might want earplugs as there are some vocal animals in the vicinity.

Relaxing Valley 2
Tranquility and relaxation are two things we experienced at New Norm Farm. Although we're right off the road, there's rarely any traffic and it's not fast, so there wasn't any disturbance. Each site has tons of space to spread out. We enjoyed getting to see the goats and cows, and see the stars in the sky each evening. Kyle and Kassy are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed shopping at the farm stand too! We had the best sweet potatoes, and look forward to fresh eggs in the spring. We will be back.

Kyle was friendly and accommodating. The space is accessible. There is firewood, and a compostable toilet. Nice place for a solid trip or one with friends. I was a little disappointed on how loud the other campsite got. They were up partying until 2:00 am. However, that is not under the camp or Kyle’s control. Overall a nice experience and would recommend to others.

Kyle was a great host, but the pictures on Hipcamp are a little misleading. The house is about 30 yards away from the site. It’s immediately off the main road. With houses all around. If you are wanting a more secluded place like we did, this isn’t the best place.

Kyles place was very private, spoke with his wife upon arrival, very sweet. Went to site and was as expected. Firewood available, porta potty available, very clean by the way. Nice pond on site, very pleasant. Second time here, will come back again!
