BBQ grille located on outside deck and propane is provided. There is a gas fire pit on the north river deck and a wood burning fire pit along the riverbank, wood provided. The space River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. The Property is an old Spanish land grant, originally owned by the Sanchez Family, which used to be a large cattle family in the State of Florida. Today, under our ownership since the late 40s, the Ranch has never been developed or timbered in any large measure. Original heart pine forests, oak groves, and wetlands pepper the entire tract. The land has remained largely untouched and natural, which is rare, in a state that is rapidly loosing its natural land to development. Our Ranch is more of a natural preserve than a farm, and it is our aim to share it in limited measure with the public.

We are appx 45 mins from the little fishing village of Steinahatchee and 45 mins from Florida's State Capitol ,Tallahassee . Come to relax ! We offer kayaks and life jackets that can used at your risk. Scheduling is required . We have 3 singles, one being a fishing and one two persons. Furnished cottage with large river view windows and a walk around deck. The cottage is an open floor plan with king size bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. A comfy twin mattress bed can also be provided. Enjoy relaxing and watch the river flow by from the swivel rocker recliner. Climate controlled AC/Heating unit. Wall mounted swivel TV for easy viewing 200 channel Dish TV. Wi-fi available The cottage has a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and dishware. BBQ grille located on outside deck and propane is provided. There is a gas fire pit on the north river deck and a wood burning fire pit along the riverbank, wood provided. The space River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage. Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets. A guest’s animal must not be: Out of control Unhouse broken. Left alone at the listing without prior approval. Allowed into areas that are considered unauthorized to the guest. Allowed in a public space without being harnessed, leashed, or tethered and not under the guest’s control. Please clean up after your pet My wife and I live full time in the main house; however, we respect our guest’s privacy and our interaction is catered to each guests preference. We are both retired, enjoying our little piece of heaven, and hosting River Rise Cottage. We love Florida's "Forgotten Coast" and believe you will as well!

We're just 25 mins from Gainesville, 45 mins from Ocala, & 2 hrs from Orlando. Our Ranch was purchased by the Host's grandmother after her first husband was killed in World War 2. She took part of the money given to her by the government and bought the initial tract. The host's father increased the size of the Property tremendously in the 90s and early-2000s, and today it encompasses 1, 337 acres. The Property is an old Spanish land grant, originally owned by the Sanchez Family, which used to be a large cattle family in the State of Florida. Today, under our ownership since the late 40s, the Ranch has never been developed or timbered in any large measure. Original heart pine forests, oak groves, and wetlands pepper the entire tract. The land has remained largely untouched and natural, which is rare, in a state that is rapidly loosing its natural land to development. Our Ranch is more of a natural preserve than a farm, and it is our aim to share it in limited measure with the public.

Weekend Trip to Kokomo Farms

We had an amazing time camping in the tree house! We are “young” empty nesters and this was a great adventure in figuring out what future adventures will look like! Trudy and Greg were so kind and super hospitable! The weather was perfect! We bought the farm fresh eggs and they had an electric griddle to cook em. We sat on the porch while it rained, reading a book with each other, sipping coffee and enjoying the beautiful of the land on the farm. My wife painted a painting in the garden to add to hundreds of others… it was cool to be a part of so many others that have been through. We pet the horses, fed the roosters, played fetch with the dogs. We drove about 15 minutes to Suwannee state park and hiked Balanced Rock Trail. Our time at Kokomo was sacred, and for us a pivotal point into the second half of life! I know it’s a source of income for them, but it felt like they were truly sharing their land and home with us. Such a great time!

Absolutely incredible stay! The Treehouse Cabin Retreat exceeded every expectation the perfect mix of comfort and nature. The cabin and treehouse are spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need, from kitchen essentials to comfy bedding. The property is peaceful, surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sounds of nature. We loved the outdoor shower under the stars, the firepit for s’mores, and the hammocks for lazy afternoons. It’s close to the Suwannee River and crystal-clear springs, which made day trips for swimming and kayaking so easy. The host was responsive, kind, and made everything simple from start to finish. If you’re looking to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy a unique glamping experience this place is pure magic. We’re already planning to come back!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency back home, but boy were we sad to go. The treehouse is such a fun camping experience and our host, Greg, was so kind. He had farm fresh eggs for us every morning and even let us use some of the garlic from his garden. We woke up to his chickens greeting us every day and got to feed his horses. We were so bummed to have to leave whether it was a day short or not but we will definitely be returning to try one of the other camp houses they have available.

It was absolutely beautiful out there. Quiet and in the heart of natural florida and Seminole lands on the Santa fe river. Easy check in and clean cabin. Perfect little spot to stay for a nite or a few! Comfort station with coffee was the best. Also had games and a cook station with grills and smokers for use! Will definitely stay here again. And also just a quick 10 minute trip to the springs for tubing swimming ect.
