Caceres Organic Blueberry & Turmeric Farms is nestled in the heart of the Suwannee River Water Basin, home to some some of the most beautiful freshwater springs in the world. We have been a WWOOF host since 2011. Over 500 organic volunteers from around the world have lived and worked at the farm so we are used to creating an atmosphere of community and sustainable living. We have cleared tent camping lots for Hip Campers in front of the on-property lake with easy access to swimming and fishing. There are two solar shower stalls with hot water powered by the sun. It is specifically built to overlook the main blueberry field and peach grove. Stunning views at sunset. An outhouse / composting toilet is currently under construction with the rain water collection system now complete. In the meantime a portable toilet is provided. A potable water station is available and built from re-purposed materials and wood harvested locally. We are a working farm. We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of stores with our blueberries. We also have an active u-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers. There are multiple springs within 30 miles in various directions - some of them of First Magnitude volume. Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. There is also a boat launch on the Suwannee River just minutes from the farm for boating, skiing and fishing. Bob's River Place is minutes away.The Gulf of Mexico is just 40 miles away. Scalloping season begins June 15 this year and runs to September. Oyster season lasts all winter. This area was inhabited by indians many years ago and the remnants of their civilization are scattered about in the rivers and land. The Ichetucknee River was named by a tribe of Creek Indians who came down from north Georgia and Alabama, and means "place of the beavers". This area is rich in history and beautiful nature.With over 1/3 acre of dedicated riverfront property on the Santa Fe River, you’ll have all the peace and quiet you can handle in this single spot campsite. The campsite was purpose-built for friends and family who come to visit this slice of paradise we call home. Ideally located in the heart of spring country in North Central Florida, we have over 18 major springs within a 50-mile radius of this location, which allows for all the outdoor exploration and watersports you desire. With tubing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing available within feet of the campsite, you can stay nearby or venture out to some of the best springs in the world.
Boaters – Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers.
Tubers – Tube the private section of the crystal-clear Ichetucknee river accessible only by the homeowners via our 3 waterfront parks. Both get-out parks are within walking distance to the campsite for your convenience.
Paddlers – Paddle the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood, or if the time of year is right, venture up to the Ichetucknee State Park to paddle the head waters and north entrance. This is limited in season and numbers to keep the impact on the river to a minimum.
Swimmers – Swim the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood via our 9 waterfront parks (6 Santa Fe, 3 Ichetucknee) or venture to either entrance of the Ichetucknee River State Park just a few miles away.
Nature lovers – Explore the unspoiled conservation areas within the neighborhood that can be hiked and explored. Setup a hammock and sit by the river and watch all your worries wash away, you may get to see the occasional manatee.
Whatever your passion, this campsite accommodates it with electric (50/30/15), water, picnic table, concrete firepit, clothesline and plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is golf-cart and UTV friendly and has lots of dirt roads to explore. The deer can be found quite easily every morning and evening while riding around and rarely run away from the vehicles.

We have reserved 4A River Camp multiple times during February and each time we have loved this beautiful and peaceful site! Being right on the banks of Santa Fe River is amazing! The site is spacious and private as well as being accessible to Ichetucknee Springs SP. We always enjoying canoeing, snorkeling, bicycling right from our camp.
Michael is a gracious host and always willing to do whatever he can to accommodate our needs.

I absolutely loved this spot! It’s so tranquil and beautiful. We brought our small 20 foot camper, and we had no problems with any of the hook ups. This campground is incredibly well kept, and peaceful. The bathrooms, the outdoor showers, and the trash area were very clean. The cabin looks absolutely adorable. Big shoutout to Mr. Tim for letting our five year old son check out his tractor. This one of the nicest spots we’ve found so far and will most definitely be staying here again!

Quaint grounds away from city life! I did not meet the host, but a family member, and he could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The out house is very clean and the shower is outdoor but not heated. It’s enough privacy to be modest and enough water pressure to get you clean. The sites are well maintained and spacious so there is room for privacy and the surrounding area is quiet! The camp was easy to find and at the time of stay (winter) no bugs or wildlife bothering you. It’s also close enough to town you can drive in for meals or supplies. And the amount of outdoor activity near by is fantastic. I would definitely stay again if I were traveling in the area.

We loved this site, the bathroom and potable water accommodations exceeded our expectations. The other sites are within 100-150ft of one another but it still felt private. The host are very welcoming and helped us out when we had some car problems and were mindful of the freezing temperatures and brought us some extra fire wood. Overall a great experience and we will be looking to come back in the summer time.

We loved staying in Davids old fishermans cabin. The cabin was clean and perfectly rustic. The property was beautifully located on the lake. (such a great view to walk out the door to) It was a great location for us to check out the area.

This was our second stay here, and somehow it was even better than the first! The privacy is top-notch, you truly feel tucked away in your own little slice of nature with incredible views of the surrounding outdoors that never get old. The amenities make it easy to fully relax: a shower, water, and a convenient dishwashing area that make camping comfortable without losing the off-grid vibe.
We spent our days unwinding, laughing, and just enjoying being outside, and our evenings were extra special thanks to all the wildlife—including watching bats swoop through the sky, which was such a cool experience. The hosts are fantastic: friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about making sure guests have a great stay.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-thought-out Hipcamp with amazing scenery and thoughtful hosts, this place is a gem. We already know it won’t be our last visit! 🌄🦇✨

With our relatives living just two blocks from David's land, the location was ideal and convenient for spending quality time together. David and his entire staff exceeded our expectations in every way. Their deep knowledge of Lake Rousseau, combined with remarkable generosity and hospitality, made us feel exceptionally welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. We stayed in a quaint cabin that featured a convenient kitchenette. The space was not only comfortable and clean but also provided us with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Each morning, we woke up to breathtaking views, which truly enhanced our experience. Our time at David's camp was unforgettable. Just returned from tent camping along the Sante Fe River in December. It was yet another absolutely wonderful experience. The crisp winter air, combined with water made for a peaceful and refreshing getaway. You've just gotta see the morning fog over the river. I went with a small group of friends and brought along our dog, who had the time of her life exploring the yard, playing fetch, and basking in the sun.
The Hipcamp location itself is well-maintained with tons of space, and a beautiful view on the water. Even though it was December, we stayed warm with a campfire, hot drinks, and plenty of layers. Great nighttime stargazing, too.
What really stood out, though, was our host. Michael is incredibly friendly and helpful. His hospitality truly enhanced the experience and made us feel welcomed and cared for.
I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a winter tent camping spot by the river.

Firstly NESTLE sucks and is ruining local agriculture and access to water. That being said the family was wonderful, we had a very kind note and some great tea left by Allie and had the pleasure of meeting her father who was just a ray of sunshine. The campsite is def more of a summer camp but it was BEAUTIFUL every second! Thanks again yall!!
