Welcome to a sweet and soulful little piece of the woodlands. Tucked in on 4.5 acres, this spot is a secluded, enchanting piece of old Florida. Stay in one of our three designated camping sites, tie up a hammock, gaze at the pond inhabitants, and check out what's growing in the seasonal garden. Also enjoy the many flowering plants and other special trees. Florida's gem-colored, healing spring waters are just a 20 minutes up the way and local retreat centers and yoga studios dot the area. Gator fans? Head into Gainesville for a game and to visit the University of Florida. Mostly, enjoy. We look forward to hosting you! To note for all guests: We suggest arriving before dark so as to make set up easy and comfortable. The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Caceres Organic Blueberry & Turmeric Farms is nestled in the heart of the Suwannee River Water Basin, home to some some of the most beautiful freshwater springs in the world. We have been a WWOOF host since 2011. Over 500 organic volunteers from around the world have lived and worked at the farm so we are used to creating an atmosphere of community and sustainable living.  We have cleared tent camping lots for Hip Campers in front of the on-property lake with easy access to swimming and fishing. There are two solar shower stalls with hot water powered by the sun. It is specifically built to overlook the main blueberry field and peach grove. Stunning views at sunset. An outhouse / composting toilet is currently under construction with the rain water collection system now complete. In the meantime a portable toilet is provided.  A potable water station is available and built from re-purposed materials and wood harvested locally. We are a working farm. We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of stores with our blueberries. We also have an active u-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers. There are multiple springs within 30 miles in various directions - some of them of First Magnitude volume. Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. There is also a boat launch on the Suwannee River just minutes from the farm for boating, skiing and fishing. Bob's River Place is minutes away.The Gulf of Mexico is just 40 miles away. Scalloping season begins June 15 this year and runs to September. Oyster season lasts all winter. We love this spot. Quiet and remote with rustic conveniences. The campsites are perfect for tents and hammocks and the available fire wood and eggs for purchase are a nice touch. Owners are friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning.

Weekend Trip to Glenn Farm

We loved tent camping on Tom’s property at Glenn Farm! We went in November, and the weather was a little chilly overnight, but the firepit was a great addition. No need to bring your own wood, Tom says it helps the farm when campers use windfallen branches. Being not too close to any major cities with light pollution, the stars are numerous and extremely visible on a clear night. We woke up to a scenic fog rolling over the pasture, with Cows grazing in an adjacent field. Tom was very friendly, driving us over to our campsite, checking in with us as he led sheep out to pasture in the morning, and giving us a rundown on local things to do and the history of the property. This is absolutely a hidden gem in northeast Florida, and we will most definitely be coming back again!

The hosts were very accommodating and gracious. Tom gave us an incredible tour and history of the property. His animals are amazing. The site was very private and clean. The sink hole is fascinating, though we weren't comfortable swimming in it. Plan to bring a shovel and toilet plan as the one at the site needs repair. There is plenty of downed wood around you but bring a saw as much of it is too large to break. Be sure to visit Fanning Springs State Park in addition to the better known sites closer by. The swimming area is fabulous and manatees were present.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time camping here! It was very private and quiet. The views of the stars were amazing! This would be a perfect spot to watch a meteor shower. Tom gave us a tour of his property and let us feed some of his cute sheep and highland cows! Tom was a great host; he let us check out later because no one was camping behind us and was fun to talk to. We went to High Springs for dinner and coffee and that town is so cute! I was so impressed by the restaurant selection; I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. We especially enjoyed Colsie Coffee and Serendipity. The locals were extremely nice and we had great chats with many of them. We would definitely camp here again!

What a precious place. They’ve covered so many details: directions are clear, sites are clearly marked and spaced out/private, toilet/outhouse is comfortable, dishes can be washed, shower also available, firewood bundle waiting at the fire pit, and the gorgeous property was clean/spotless/no trash anywhere. It was also quiet. Will definitely be back!

Tom and Judy were very hospitable and flexible, even when it came to making modifications in our party size. There were 9 of us and we had a great time at arrowhead sink. The sink itself was awesome, we spent a good portion of our time down there (bring some hiking shoes because it’s a steep decline to get into the sink and it’s a little wet and muddy). The location isn’t too far from a gas station and there is even an area with food trucks. Lots of fun!

This was our second time coming to Wildflower Pond and we had an absolutely wonderful time. We have been to many hip camps along the east coast, and this is by far the best one. It was very peaceful. Very nice little setup. Had a fire ring and picnic table and that’s all you need. Me dogs roamed around and quickly learned about the cactus. No harm done and there are warning signs, my dogs just can’t read. It’s a nice little retreat away. We will definitely be back.

I’ve stayed at quite a few HipCamps over the years, but this one is hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had. The property truly has a little bit of everything- from friendly farm animals like donkeys, cows, and goats, to an incredible cave with its own private swimming hole. The best part? You’ll have these huge, scenic spaces entirely to yourself. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. And to top it off, the host, Tom, is one of the coolest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. He was a pleasure to chat with and shared some fascinating stories about the land’s history that made the stay even more special. Magnolia sink is a beautiful and secluded site. I used this on a quick bike packing trip. I've stayed at the arrowhead sink site before. This one also has a picnic table, a fire ring, and a trashcan. The picnic table makes spreading out your stuff so much easier. The surrounding fields are beautiful and provide a huge buffer from civilization. Saw turkey and deer in the evening and morning. If it weren't for the faint traffic noise in the distance or dogs barking in the distance, you would think you're in the middle of nowhere. I love staying here and will be back for sure!
