Hunter Springs is a great little park with a beach area for swimming and kayak rentals too. There are also several Diving with the Manatee tours available. One we suggest in town is Fun2Dive. These are all only a short drive away. You can enjoy swimming, fishing, scalloping, snorkeling, kayaking, pontooning just five minutes away, or just relaxing back at camp fireside. Heritage Village is in town filled with many hometown eateries and shoppes. It's a great way to spend the afternoon and explore downtown Crystal River. We have a variety of great one-of-a-kind eateries with many special events and festivals throughout the year. Conveniently located at the end of the street is a Publix, DG, a Mexican restaurant, and Beef O'Brady's. I loved the space. It was comfortable and thoughtful. We arrived bringing very little things with us for an impromptu weekend out for the first time “glamping”. Don’t forget the bug spray and lanterns! I liked that the port-a-potties were nearby and the regular bathroom is also an option down the road. This space is next to a pond so be aware of the wildlife near by (read alligators) and be smart.

1 night at Yurt Glamping Nature in the City

We loved our stay at Ellen’s yoga yurt! It was better than I even could have expected, and was such the perfect little spiritual retreat. We opted to add on the Kundalini Yoga and Sound Bath experiences and are SO happy that we did. These are the kind of experiences you usually have to travel out of the country for. I truly loved the design and the decorations, and especially all of the sound bowls and instruments I got to play with while I was there. The gong and the rain stick were a few of my favorites. The tree house was another super fun addition, and climbing up into it took me back to my childhood. It was truly magical and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Ellen 🙏🏼🧘🏼‍♀️🕉️

Everything went well it was a very peaceful place. It was clean it was cute my only suggestion is is maybe bring something that pads the pull out bed they have in there but other than that everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for the space Star wars were fine bathroom was fine I had a couple of campfires it was just quiet and peaceful and I had massive alone time and I loved it. Mini fridge worked and AC probably worked but I never had to turn it on I just used the fan because it was cool evenings and it was a great base for me to stay in order to go fishing or out somewhere sleep late lay there or just listen to the sounds of the forest which I don't get to hear very often. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I'm probably going to stay again sometime.

It was a wonderful relaxing stay! Dona was a fantastic host and the tour was amazing! To see that many foxes up close, to feed them eggs was a bucket list moment!! Relaxing on the porch listening to the melodic howl of the papa new guinea dingo was something I didn’t know I needed in my life!! Also, the horses literally running around playing together is something I have never seen despite staying at horse sanctuaries before. Book now you won’t regret it!

This was our first experience booking a stay with hipcamp, and it's really going to be a tough one to beat! The stay at Rob and Mike's was incredible, and I'm sure we'll be comparing all of our future adventures to this one--it will be difficult to live up to! The RV was great, the grounds were spectacular, and the ranch experience Rob and Mike led us through was something the kids and I won't forget anytime soon. They're already asking when we can go back! I honestly can't think of anything they could have done to make the stay better...they nailed everything from the big-picture stuff to the nitty-gritty details. Truly a wonderful experience. I would (and have!) recommend this to everyone I know--especially those with kids!

Wild turkeys, fenced in yard for the dog. Enjoyed the peaceful siting even though was a high traffic road. Easy access to parks and the town. Enjoyed the parrots in kitchen area. Very talkative.
