It is surrounded by acres of Pine Forest so enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds, look at the wild life. We have about a dozen of chickens and a few roosters.The property is conveniently located 1 mile away from the Interstate 95, and 1 mile away from US1. 3 min drive to the grocery store( Publix).  Plenty of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming- within 10-15 minutes to the River, Beaches and the Ocean; tons of natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. A little over an hour to Orlando with Disney, Universal and other parks, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.  We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals. If you have horses, you'll love coming to Black Horse. We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena. There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! Kayaking, tubing, swimming galore in crystal clear waters. We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. We are 1 hour from Daytona & New Smyrna, 1 hour from Orlando (Disney anyone?). There is plenty to do on the ranch and nearby the ranch. You will have a blast. We'll see you by the campfire!

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

I have stayed on those property several times over the last two years and every time has been magnificent. Wonderful hosts, great communication, and a perfect spot for a quiet getaway with several amenities just minutes away. This is my go to for some quiet camping and beach getaway!

What a peaceful spot!! The lake spot is exactly what we needed to unwind and relax. We brought our 3 pups who loved being there as much as we did. We took our kayak on the lake which was great too. Even the daily storms lulled us farther into relaxation. We'd, definitely, come back.

We absolutely LOVE this place! My wife in particular really appreciated the bathroom/shower building. So many little details and creature comforts. If we had horses I can imagine this place would be even MORE special. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly be coming back.

Easy peasy. Great location near a lot of amenities (restaurants, hardware stores, gas, etc). We weee able to park our car in addition to our camper at the location. Will definately rent again next time we are in town.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a really relaxing stay at Laura's place. The campsite felt secluded and private, which made it easy to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Waking up to the cows ( Bessy, Nutmeg, Paprika, Doris and Thunder) nearby added so much charm and made the experience feel unique. The kayaks were a nice touch and gave us another way to enjoy the property. Laura was a wonderful host—friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with while still giving us plenty of privacy. If you're looking for a quiet place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and experience a little farm life, I would definitely recommend staying here. We'd happily come back again.

Absolutely spectacular and peaceful. We actually stayed at their newly opened section of their property and it was incredibly secluded and private. It felt like we were our in the wilderness completely by ourselves (which we love). The deer visited us every morning and I caught a catfish off of their dock. I had planned on kayaking but we ended up exploring some of the surrounding areas instead. There's always next time. We will back. 😁

Very quiet small campground. Somethings have changed from the listing. They no longer have happy hour from 5-6, no food options and quiet time of 9 pm is still posted. The pool was great and staff was amazing!! Will definitely return with family.

Reserved site 4 but Host said site 8 was more suitable for our 33’ travel trailer and it was! Very level and well kept. Pool was great! Perfect temperature and clean. Very clear pool rules posted on multiple signs. Very clean pool area. Small open air amenity center with pool table, foosball table, board games, seating and TV. Two public fire pits as well and individual rings at campsites. Host wa son site and accessible. WiFi strong. Will definitely visit again soon!

Amazing hosts. Very sweet and they even gave us free eggs from their chickens :) Not to mention it’s absolutely beautiful out here. Prettiest sunsets! everything you need is within a 15 minute drive which is huge for us. It’s also super quiet out here. We would 100 recommend staying here

Everything was wonderful. Very peaceful, clean, full of nature, and the host were amazing, very easy to talk to. There was only one other camper there while i was there, they were very nice and we had plenty of privacy. The lake was great, took the rowboat out to explore. You think you're in good shape til you gotta row a boat. Had the fire going at night, I enjoyed every minute there. If it wasn't for work I'd still be out there, but hope to go back soon.

We loved the privacy of this site! This site is a nice level gravel site in a setting that is perfect for nature lovers. We had plenty of room at the site to angle our small popup so that we had a nice view of the natural forest of bald cypress, oak, pine, palms, as well as the lake. We loved having a private dock and fire pit in an area that offered plenty of shade, with a nice breeze blowing across the lake. We thought it a very relaxing and peaceful spot! We plan to revisit!

I would highly recommend this site. Area was clean and the kids loved the lake . Perfect location for anyone looking to stay near Daytona or Sanford . Laura was very friendly and willing to help out if needed . 5 star +
