Located on 5 acres in the Ocala National Forest, Hookie's Hideaway is the perfect place to stay for easy access to all of nature's bounty and activities.
This property is easily accessible, serene and peaceful. Campsites are in a beautiful grove of pine and sycamore trees.
We are surrounded by forested camping areas and close enough to drive into town to pick up groceries or get a meal. We have a "you pick them" blueberry farm when in season.
We are pet friendly! If you have a pet please add the pet Extra at checkout so you will be charged a $20 pet fee ($10 for the trailers).
We are close to hiking, horse trails, lakes and springs.

Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street.
OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND.
We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 3 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 12 total guests.
We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins.
We offer our exclusive holistic services and Yoga, Plant Based Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Meal Options, Energy work and other holistic well-being services, Small Group Retreats, Boat Tours and Boat Rentals.
Use of a private vehicle is required.
The property is on a natural 46000 acre lake that is connected to The Atlantic Ocean by The St Johns River.
This location offers abundant wildlife refuge.

This was such a cute stay. The hosts were so helpful and met us when we got there to show us where all the amenities were. They had a campfire ready for us with stuff for s’mores in the fridge. The late night shower with the tiki torch under the stars was really a highlight experience. It was a really fun little getaway!

We loved the place! Everything was clean, both the bedroom and the shower were super clean and everything was comfortable. Location is perfect, close to a lot of activities. My daughter had a blast with the chickens, she really enjoyed collecting eggs, she ate more than usual! Recommended 100%, either you want is as a base camp to explore the zone or to hang in there in the nature, the place is amazing!

We had an amazing stay at Little Lulu. The RV was clean, cozy, and had everything you could possibly need. The host was super kind, helpful, and respectful of privacy, which made the stay even better. Being able to grab fresh eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast was such a unique touch. We made s’mores, roasted hot dogs, and enjoyed a peaceful night under the stars. The friendly orange kitty was the cherry on top. We couldn’t have asked for a better time and will definitely be back.

We stayed in cottage, it was very sweet and cozy. The hosts live onsite and were very kind and welcoming to us and our pup. Very dog friendly! We were provided with all the small comforts and amenities you’d find at any fine hotel, plus some sweet personal touches like a fire pit and access to an outdoor shower and fresh eggs from the chickens. This was an amazing little gem! The owners were amazing! They greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us around the property! They checked in on us throughout our stay and provided some extra firewood as we needed it! There were chickens running around and we were able to have fresh eggs in the mornings! We were able to set up a tent to accommodate some extra guests and we brought our pup who loved the property! We made some incredible meals and the camper has all the cookware, dinnerware, and seasonings you need! They also left us stuff to make s’mores! We really enjoyed the outdoor shower and the bathroom was surprisingly clean! We will definitely be back and we would definitely recommend!

We had a great time. We had our dog with us which is always a bonus. Our hosts helped us with whatever we needed and addressed any concerns we had quickly and attentively. We came for the river access and enjoyed it very much. Though they live nearby and there was another family renting another RV, it felt pretty private. We enjoyed the treehouse spot, the fishing dock, and the comfort of the RV at the end of each night. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks again!

We had such a great stay in this camper! Everything was thoughtfully prepared and made the experience really special. The host had it well-stocked with everything we needed, plus some extra touches like firewood and s’mores supplies that made evenings by the fire perfect.
One of the highlights was the chicken coop on site — we loved being able to collect fresh eggs in the morning. The camper itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with all the essentials ready to go.
The setting was peaceful and quiet, and at night the stars were absolutely incredible. It felt like the perfect balance of comfort and connection to nature.

This was the little slice of heaven we needed this weekend… our hosts went above and beyond to set us up for success.
Sent us off with fresh eggs to boot.
The orange cat named Calicifer was very quickly my new best friend for the visit.
Their outdoor shower is super cool, especially at night. And the outhouse situation was definitely one of the nicer ones I’ve seen.
It was a beyond comfortable and peaceful stay.
