The property is geared more toward adults as many of our plants are poisonous, sharp or have dangerous spines, especially if wandering off the main paths and walkways. Safety is a priority; because of this, we ask that you do not touch our plants and stay on the main paths and walkways when enjoying the property. The RV parking site has a 50 amp (30 amp adapter) RV power hook-up. There is also a 15-amp outlet (120V) at the site you can use as well. There is potable/city water hook-up, but no blackwater sewer services or blackwater dumping on the property. Your site has a dedicated shaded sitting area surrounded by bamboo and palm trees for your personal use secluded in the front yard. We're in a safe, residential neighborhood in a wonderful, unincorporated, beachside community, less than a mile to Walmart, Aldi, Walgreens, countless restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and the Indian River Lagoon. Our ocean access boardwalk does not offer public restrooms, parking or lifeguards, but there are several parks nearby that do. Hippie Haux – A Quiet Forest Spot Near the Coast Hippie Haux sits on about five acres of mixed oak forest with a few soft, rolling clearings. It’s tucked right near town but feels quiet and tucked away, and you’re only about 45 minutes from the beach. The land has a relaxed, rustic feel—simple, natural, and easy to settle into. The camping area isn’t divided into marked sites. Instead, there’s an open clearing where you can choose your own spot. There’s room for roughly 6–8 setups, so it works well for tents, car camping, vans, hammocks, and pop-ups. I also have a small trailer available to rent if you’d like something more comfortable, and there’s a raised platform you can set up on as well. You’ll find the basic comforts here: a fire pit, picnic tables, drinking water, electricity, a compost toilet, and an outdoor shower. There’s a simple communal kitchen too, plus easy parking. Fires are allowed as long as someone stays with them. Pets and kids are welcome. The land gets regular visits from deer, owls, hawks, armadillos, squirrels, and the occasional curious bunny. At night, the sky opens up enough for great stargazing. There’s a small herbal garden on site, and a yoga deck tucked under the trees for morning stretches or a quiet sit in nature. I usually have fresh farm eggs available as well. If you’re looking for something low-key, close to nature, and not overly manicured, this spot tends to be a good fit. It works for solo campers wanting some peace, families who want room for kids to explore, and anyone passing through on their way to the coast or springs. My time at Lakefront Downtown Orlando was phenomenal! The hosts Julian and Jason were extremely friendly, and the space they provide is excellent. The house was perfectly clean, and had a nice kitchen to prepare some meals and chat a bit, a chilling living room to rest, a complete mosquito-proof swimming pool... And the designated camping/RV area was quite wide, plus the lake view (or even activities!) looked great. Besides all that, and very important for me, the place is within walking distance to Camping World Stadium (where the festival I was attending was held): a very cheap ride, or a ~30 min walk. You also have a Walmart across the road, very convenient. But above all, the ambient there was in the house with other RVs' and rooms' guests was super chill and friendly --in part I'm sure because of the great vibe of our festival, but also due to what Julian, Jason, and the house transmitted!

Had an amazing and relaxing weekend. The campsite itself was very private, and the proximity to the “private-ish” beach was the best part. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was the perfect private getaway. The only downside was that the mini fridge at our site wasn’t working, so we had to rely on our cooler. Aside from that small issue, it was a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back for the peace and quiet.

The site was great, had a view of the lagoon, it was near the store and bathroom. My site was all brick paved which was a bonus, kept all my gear clean. I probably had the tiniest camper at the whole resort. The resort offered the guests many amenities. Everyone I met was very nice. The resort was not far from bicycle trails and paddling on the Wekiva river.

The skoolie was the absolute best after camping for a few days in the August Florida heat. Melinda left out some snacks, and there was a full kitchen in which we cooked dinner. The bed and the pull out were both super comfy, and nothing beat the shower!! As far as skoolies go, this is one of the best I’ve seen! Melinda was also great, even letting us do some laundry in her guest house. Everything felt very safe and cozy, would definitely stay again!
