Weekend Trip to Surfer Beach And Tree Sanctuary

What a great place! First of all, you are just across the street from the beach and from a turtle sanctuary!! It’s one of the last spots on the Atlantic coast of Florida which is not overdeveloped. I hesitate to broadcast it too much as it is so special! John runs a small surf shop and a surf camp. So there’s a low key, cool business attached to the property (filled with great books to be loaned). The yurt is quite comfortable and has all the amenities you need. It’s very quiet and surrounded by jungle like foliage. I highly recommend this place. We will absolutely be back. My only suggestion is in summer note that they have mosquitoes. It’s manageable, but prepare in advance.

David was welcoming and accommodating. The campsite was peaceful with a beautiful view of the river - and the dolphins were unforgettable! We were out on the dock watching the fireworks on July 4th and they swam by just a few feet away. This has a backwoods feel with the convenience of a full bath. Don't expect fancy, be prepared for mosquitos, and you'll have an adventure!

Great little spot in a wonderful beach RV condo community! The site is a concrete pad and level. Anthony was quick to respond to my messages & questions, even came to help with an issue with the lockbox that turned out to be my user error. The site has a bit of shade in early AM and late PM but not in the heat of the day so be prepared with a canopy. I only needed to use the 30amp connection and water but the site also had a sewage connection that appeared well maintained. There are several air conditioned bathroom buildings on site that were cleaned daily and in excellent condition. 3 beautiful pools and one hot tub. Beach access is locked and only for condo residents/guests so the beach is quiet and not crowded. The community is situated between the ocean and the Indian River so beautiful sunrises on the ocean and sunsets on the river. Everyone around the community was so friendly and inviting. Will definitely be back!

The rv was just a brisk walk away from the beach access. It was absolutely lovely and the host was very accommodating and responsive. For all you fishermen out there, there is a boat launch just a quick walk from the rv and I caught allot of catfish right in that spot at night. It was a great experience and the rv was as in the pictures.

Review Hipcamp 24.-26.5. Lisa and Derek are the best hosts, super-nice, generous, flexible and friendly. We had to push our reservation to the next day on very short notice, and they graciously accommodated that. They greeted us like friends, and treated us to super fresh fish caught by Derek the same day, and delicious eggs laid by their beautiful backyard chickens. Their yard is an oasis, a true little paradise with lush plantings, a very nice pool and inviting patio area to relax in. My personal favorite features were the wonderful outdoor shower and the little secluded seating area in the bamboo grove by "our" driveway. And, of course, the chickens ! The location is great, too, it is literally a 5 minute walk down the street to the beautiful beach, restaurants, bars and stores- the area has a lot to offer, and Lisa and Derek were happy to share their inside knowledge. We highly recommend this super- cool hip camp retreat!

I stayed here with my children for Mother's Day Weekend. We were delighted to find out that it's on an island! Very close to the beach and state parks. They are in the middle of building a new platform to put the dome on. I was a little sad we had the view of a half-finished construction project, but for future visitors that will be an amazing upgrade. DON'T SKIP THE BUG SPRAY!!

We stayed in an RV beach resort unoccupied space. There was cable, water, electricity and sewer hookup. It was a cement pad between two other residential trailers but they were empty since it was getting to be the summer low season as this resort. There was private access to several pools and the beach on the atlantic, but also some lounging park-like area on the Indian River as well. The location is close to restaurants, several other beach accesses. This i s a nice area to stay a while. The pool we visited was a short block from our camper and it was lovely. There was a hot tub, tennis courts and more.

Steve and his wife are such lovely people! Their property was great to camp at. The location is about 10 minutes from the beach. The campsite has a little fire place and picnic table to use. The bathroom was great and the access to the pool and tiki bar in their yard was great. Such a great stay. Thank you Steve and Rachel!!!

Steve's place was great! The campsite was cozy and private, and having the use of the pool, bathroom, and outdoor shower was perfect. Very nice and comfortable spot. Easy access to both the beach and river. Access to 3 pools was great especially the beach one. This is the first trip without any mosquito bites which is a WIN for me personally. No bugs, no noise. Just a relaxing weekend well spent. Dogs had a great time relaxing too. Anthony was a great host. We will definitely be back soon.

The campsite is approximately 1000ft from the road but some traffic may be heard during peak hours. A Paved walking and cycling trail leads to boomba sports complex, the environmental center, and Lake Jessup in one direction and big tree park in the other. The trail is part of the cross seminole trail system.

Perfect for folks travelling to/from the Florida Keys or anyone needing a beach break on the East Coast of Central Florida. Our property, though small, is a heavily wooded, botanical dream totally geared for outdoor enjoyment & living. We have a greenhouse of tropical plants and function as a microfarm; just steps away from the ocean w/backyard chickens for fresh eggs, salad greens, herbs, fruits and vegetables grown year-round. You will find a fenced communal pool area, outdoor shower, bathroom, 2 covered porch areas, including outdoor kitchen space, minifridge, gas grill w/side burner, TV, Wi-Fi and hammock(s). This is shared space although we will always ensure your privacy and will do our best to stay out of your personal space throughout your stay. We are 420 friendly and don't mind well behaved pets as long as you assume all responsibility, are careful with them and clean up after yourselves. Quiet time 10pm-8am. The property is geared more toward adults as many of our plants are poisonous, sharp or have dangerous spines, especially if wandering off the main paths and walkways. Safety is a priority; because of this, we ask that you do not touch our plants and stay on the main paths and walkways when enjoying the property. The RV parking site has a 50 amp (30 amp adapter) RV power hook-up. There is also a 15-amp outlet (120V) at the site you can use as well. There is potable/city water hook-up, but no blackwater sewer services or blackwater dumping on the property. Your site has a dedicated shaded sitting area surrounded by bamboo and palm trees for your personal use secluded in the front yard. We're in a safe, residential neighborhood in a wonderful, unincorporated, beachside community, less than a mile to Walmart, Aldi, Walgreens, countless restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and the Indian River Lagoon. Our ocean access boardwalk does not offer public restrooms, parking or lifeguards, but there are several parks nearby that do.
