Weekend Trip to Wallkill River Camping
Spent a birthday weekend here at the end of April with 9 friends. While the Spring weather was iffy, the site and layout was AMAZING. There is nighttime lighting, paths, chairs and benches, a very clean and well-supplied bathroom, and a bunch else I can't rattle off. The river is beautiful and quiet, seems to be a couple turns downstream from the town so it's out of the sound of the road. Sarah the host was BEYOND generous and amazing. Had some issues that were resolved so far above what I could have imagined, she is truly a gem which is reflected in the beauty of the campsite! Sorry, meant to say but I was at Site 1!

Highly recommend!!!!! Sarah’s property is spectacular! We had such a great time camping on site 1. The view was amazing, and overall very peaceful I will certainly come back and recommend! Sarah was a great host. Answered questions immediately and was very accommodating . We will be back !!

Weekend Trip to Campsites at Stonewall
This is a beautiful property. We got there later in the evening, so we didn’t get to enjoy it to the fullest, but just the peace and quiet was wonderful. Ralph was there to welcome us, and made she we had everything we needed. He let us fill our water tank with the hose from his house, and the electric was easy to navigate. He then came over to check on us after we got setteled, and brought Minnie over to say hi! He offered for us to go see the horses, but we were tired from travel and then didn’t have time before heading out in the morning to get home!

Weekend Trip to Luxury Camping at 'Higher Ground'
Evan and Laura's site was perfect. Everything you need is provided, both were very responsive to any questions we had, the bathroom and shower were way better than what we're used to at campsites and they offered suggestions for local hikes and a great butcher shop. The goats are pretty darn cute too. Highly recommend this site!

What a great site. Has to be my favorite camping site so far. Well kept and secluded without feeling to far from others. This morning as the sun came up, I've never heard so many varieties of birds singing before. I should've recorded it. I will be back in a few weeks.

Beautiful location. Ralph and Minnie (dog) were very friendly and helpful. We were there over Christmas to see family that got sick. Ralph invited my wife and I to spend Christmas with them if we were unable to visit our family. Due to the conditions (single digit temperatures and snow) we did need to use our 4 wheel drive several times.

We stayed one night while traveling home from visiting family. What a beautiful slice of heaven this horse farm is! Ralph couldn’t have been more accommodating with helping us hook up & then gave us a fun tour of the farm! Thank you Ralph & Antoinette! We are a 30-acre working active Hay farm. We purchased the farm when my grandfather passed away in 2014. It was once used to feed his cows. We had a working dairy farm. Now the property is used for your enjoyment and ours. As well as making hay. We have an 8-acre garden planted with rhubarb, raspberries, and berries on the farm too. We are located next to the Wallkill River which the campsite overlooks. We have 3 campsites available to choose from. Toilet available, campfires permitted, picnic table provided, pets welcome. Be advised we are a working farm so you will see woodpiles, machinery, such as tractors and other items sometimes hanging around.

Just 2.5 miles away is a main parking lot and the hub for several other hiking trails including Catfish Loop, Three Lakes, Old Mine Railroad and the famed Appalachian Trail. We can provide you with a trail map and help plan your hike. Swimming at Canopus Lake is only 7 miles away. Other Fahenstock activities include fishing, boat rentals, biking, and snowshoeing/x-country skiing in the winter.
