Weekend Trip to Forest Treasure Island

We had a great camping experience in the woods! The property is beautiful, with its own farm, garden, and cozy patios equipped with BBQ grills—perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Even though we were switched from the Cabbage Tent to a regular tent, our host Diana went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her hospitality truly made the stay memorable. Highly recommend!

Camp site was nice, Jan and her family were so welcoming! Our kids got along really well and they had so much fun! We went fishing on Norwalk River and that was fun too! Campsite had a nice sized tent and blow up mattresses for us to use! We also got t Fresh farm eggs from the chickens on property and enjoyed them for breakfast!

We had an excellent stay at Jan and Diana’s! The tents are in the forest yet close to their house which gave us both privacy and the opportunity to use their amazing backyard which our kids loved - playground, farm animals, sandbox… The tents were ready for us and spacious. Jan and Diana were there that weekend and very kind, helping out whenever we needed - they got us dish soap which we had forgotten, offered that we use veggies from their garden etc. We ordered the breakfast which turned out to be an excellent brunch.

1 night at 60's Surf Camper

Cute camper with great convenience to the beach! It is parked in a driveway in an urban environment so it's not like an isolated quiet space, but since we knew that going in found it perfect for an urban getaway!

Stayed here for one night with a buddy and our four girls, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The girls had an absolute blast—especially playing with the adorable puppies, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, and hanging out in the spacious tent. The site was comfortable, well set up, and perfect for a quick escape. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend!

The Cabbage Tent glamping property offers a fantastic experience. A peaceful and unique getaway in the woods awaits. The host, Jan, provides a warm welcome.. Jan was incredibly helpful and provided amazing hospitality. The glamping tent is nestled in the woods. Comfortable bed frames and all the necessary amenities are provided for a cozy night's sleep. The property has a charming farm atmosphere. Roosters, chickens, and bunnies roam freely, adding to the experience. The play area has a swing and other fun activities for kids. Fire logs are available, allowing for a cozy campfire in the evenings. Jan offered fresh eggs to take away in the morning. The Cabbage Tent glamping experience exceeded expectations. The combination of nature, comfortable accommodations, and Jan's exceptional hospitality made for a memorable trip.

This camping trip was an amazing experience, the site was great and all but the cherry on top were the friends we made their. They were so nice they gave us all alcohol, fire wood, and even offered to take us to the cemetery at night, 10/10 recommendation and yk they jack harding pl around there

The Terry is an adorable vintage 1970’s camper trailer nestled in the back corner secret garden area of Marina 59, a marina on the bayside of Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC filled with creative structures, beautiful boats and wonderful wildlife. The RV has a full size RV bed that cozily fits 2, and a banquet table that can also transform into a smaller bed if needed. There is a new, powerful AC, and there is WiFi. The bathrooms, with large comfortable showers, are a quick walk away at the Marina entrance. Your rental includes parking in the marina lot and a clicker to come and go as desired. Outside the doors, there’s a decent super market, a Dunkin’ Donuts, and a gas station. The beach is only three blocks away. We are close to JFK airport - super convenient, but you will hear some plane traffic overhead. We're the perfect spot to stay if you have a layover at the airport and want to head to the beach. I've opened a shipping container store, Tree Rock NYC, it's powered by solar panels and is right by the bathroom, stop in and check us out! The Terry is a perfect retreat for surfers, sun lovers, bird watchers and anyone who loves to enjoy all that Rockaway has to offer. And it’s an easy breezy subway / bus / ferry / drive away from the city! In summer, there are surfing classes, sailing and fishing trips, and numerous concerts and performances.
