Other attractions include local farmers markets, Gilette's Castle, and the famous River Ferry crossing the Connecticut River with a vehicle across to East Haddam. We cannot allow any wood for camp fires to be brought in form the outside for environmental reasons. It can be purchased for $12 per bundle on this site or $10.00 here at farm. Farm Fresh eggs daily when available for $4.00 per 1/2 dozen. No bedding is provided for cabin or trailer sites. Garbage removal is available as well $5 per bag provided.

Firewood is BYO. Any smoking paraphernalia must be disposed of in a responsible manner, as well as all trash. There are no bathroom facilities available. The Farnch: A developing Destination Farm Come have a picnic under a tree, spend a few hours and go for a hike in Hudson Highland Gateway Park, a Historic 352-acre park offering hiking, birding, cross-country skiing, fishing & snowshoeing. He have rods and tackle to rent or buy if you don’t have your own. If you’re having a really great time and the kids just don’t want to leave, join us for an evening of sleeping under the stars in the forest at one of our campsites. We also host local Scout Groups, and Appellation Trail hikers. Hikers know that we are located about 2 miles south of the route 9 trail crossing at the Appalachian Market and offer pick up and drop off service from there on weekends. Hudson Valley is a wonderful 4 season go to location and being about an hour away from New York City you won’t spend hours in the car before being able to stretch your legs.

Our home is an 18th Century Farm Getaway. A beautiful one and a half hour drive from the heart of New York City to Harlem Valley. Our home is the nucleus of a flourishing medicinal herb farm. On our land we cultivate herbs to make our salve, tea, tincture and tonics. We also grow microgreens and wild mushrooms. This is made possible with the support of visitors like you who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved to share and build community with us. The land is surrounded by edible herbal plants. Enjoy an herb walk and harvest with one of our farmers. Join us for camping with a campfire, hiking, long walks and a private swim. The land is conveniently attached to the Appalachian Trail and sits on over 40 acres of preserved woodland forest to explore. The land also features a rustic outdoor shower next to the barn; access to fresh mountain water and a SunMar composting toilet. The main home has two plots for our communal kitchen garden, natural fountain pond of fresh watercress and creeks surrounding the home and property. Peaceful sounds of water and wildlife embrace you in the morning. Fireflies that melt into glistening stars and bright moonlight energize you by night.
