Minutes to the Merritt Parkway but it feels like it’s deep in the remote woods. David is a fine and helpful host.

A really great place to spend a night! The frogs and cicadas sang us to sleep peacefully. Host is obviously a very talented artist and I wish we would have stayed longer to talk about craft. Really cool space- will absolutely book in the future. Can’t wait to see what they do with the property!

Tucked away off of the road, this quiet spot is perfect if you need a place to stay in the area. The host was great and his property is very accessible to everything. We were there to see a couple of shows at the Hartford Healthcare Arena and it was a great place to camp for that. Highly recommended.

This site is just on someone’s property. There is no designated camping area and there were not a lot of great locations for camping. The land around the house is very cluttered. If you are looking for a camping spot where you are immersed in nature, I would not recommend this place.

This was an excellent site! Its less of a campsite and more just staying on someone's land, but the site is beautiful! There was a lovely area for a fire and the area is heavily forested and gorgeous. Its a convenient location to many rivers, hiking trails, and the ocean. Also a short distance to town and everything you could need. My party drove an hour north to Farmington River Tubing- which I highly recommend! We tent camped and I think that's the way to go with this location! I can't wait to stay here again- I had a fantastic experience.

Beautiful spot in the woods convenient to everything: stores, trails, highway. Rare and much needed campsite in Southern Connecticut.
Lots of different options for camp sites throughout the property. David is flexible in placing you as needed depending on your RV. I have a 28 foot travel trailer and a Ford Expedition as tow vehicle.
The road is not paved, but wide enough and with a good solid ground. My only recommendation is to arrive during day light because it is hard to see at night since the property is in the woods, back away from the main road.
Nevertheless... beautiful spot. I don't know what some of the other campers reviews were about :)

I wouldn't say this is an actual campsite, the host has several tenants living on the property within full view and all the roads are really tight. We let him know we had a 15 ft travel trailer and were very barely able to park it along with our car because the space was so small, barely a pull off on a one lane road. It felt like being on a back road in between very big, fancy houses. For the price and lack of any amenities whatsoever I would not recommend this place. It just feels like the owner wants more tenants than his homes allow so he's renting out an extremely small space in between homes on the side of the road and calling it a campsite.

There are 3 places to camp on the land. The nicest spot is small and just fit my 15ft camper and car. It was half down a long dirt driveway (easy to miss) at its edge next to a creek and across from a pond. The larger spot was next to the host house so not really private. There also was a large cement slab available but it was in an area of construction. Weston is a quiet town with a good restaurant near the camp. There were no toilets available, and no electric or water at my spot so check ahead. Host was nice, as were his visitors. Worked for my short camping stay.

Finding a place to camp in Connecticut is one of the hardest things to do. Not a ton of camping, especially on the Connecticut New York border. So, if you can camp without the need of hook ups, I highly recommend this little jewel in the heart of Weston’s woods with a super friendly host, Very accommodating. Beautiful property. Tucked in the woods.

Went camping mid September and the weather was lovely. We used the small campsite by the bridge, and it was quiet and private. The other campsite is right next to the house but is a little bit bigger. The host was very flexible and very accommodating!

I spoke to the host before booking this site to be sure he could accommodate our RV. He assured us he could. I texted him when we were 3 hours away. He told me then that we might not make it. I asked why and he said “ narrow, tight, curved” Upon arrival, the road was very hilly and bumpy, but we continued on as we had no other options. We arrived and my husband walked down the driveway only to find an uneven yard which appeared to be under construction. The driveway was too narrow and hilly to accommodate our 24’ C class. He said we could park in the service road, but no hookups. When I booked this site, I said I needed water and electric. His Hipcamp page advertised water, electric, and toilets. Upon arrival he told me he only had electric. I had planned a 4 night stay at his property, which sounded lovely, butI feel I was deceived. Now, he is refusing to refund my money. Not a happy Hipcamper

Cool host ! This is a great spot to stop and rest your head on your way through CT or New England but wouldn’t recommend for more than that.
The sites are in their front yard or off the side of a regularly used driveway. Houses can be seen on 3 sides and the driveway on the 4th. Not much privacy but again great place off the highway, rather quiet and amongst the trees, in a cute small town if you’re passing through like we were.
