When we arrived we were delighted with the campsite that they had set up for us: There were 5 citronella candles burning, and 4 cans of bug spray lined up on the table! There was a nice little garbage receptacle that kept things neat and tidy. This was all a very thoughful surprise! The items we booked were the fire pit, picnick table, and water, the fire was already started and there was ample high quality firewood to keep it going, the water option was 2 Poland Spring gallons jug bottles, and the picnick table was the big wooden kind that fits a crowd. Communication prior to arrival was great and upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed with such helpful friendliness and big smiles. We had an amazing time! Oh wait I also got the farm fresh eggs! They come from the farm next door. I don't eat eggs myself but I got them as a souvenir of my trip upstate to give my family when I see them next weekend.

I loved camping here. The mini golf course was so quirky and fun. The site/tent was clean and exactly as advertised. Owners were very responsive. Bathroom and shower facilities were spotless. Everything you could possibly need and more frankly. 10/10

We recently spent a wonderful weekend despite the hot weather. We loved having the spot to ourselves. The campsite was well-maintained, with plenty of space for us to set up our tent and potty tent. The field at night lit up with lightning bugs was amazing! Jess was very communicative and very patient with our two young boys. They loved the chickens! We definitely will come back!

We had a great camping experience in the woods! The property is beautiful, with its own farm, garden, and cozy patios equipped with BBQ grills—perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Even though we were switched from the Cabbage Tent to a regular tent, our host Diana went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her hospitality truly made the stay memorable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful fully working farm with great people running it. Was fortunate enough to spend some time with the owners, get a tour of the barn, and helped feed the baby goats! Fantastic burger joint right down the road. Check in was a breeze and the weather was so nice one of us ended up camping outside. Great place and wonderful people. Will definitely return if ever in the area again.

We stopped here on our road trip and couldn't have asked for a quieter, more peaceful stay. Our hosts were incredibly kind and understanding. We had to car camp out in the field as our site was only accessible by foot, but it still felt private. We greatly enjoyed our time by the fire, watching fireflies in the meadow. Camp site was nice, Jan and her family were so welcoming! Our kids got along really well and they had so much fun! We went fishing on Norwalk River and that was fun too! Campsite had a nice sized tent and blow up mattresses for us to use! We also got t Fresh farm eggs from the chickens on property and enjoyed them for breakfast!

We had an excellent stay at Jan and Diana’s! The tents are in the forest yet close to their house which gave us both privacy and the opportunity to use their amazing backyard which our kids loved - playground, farm animals, sandbox… The tents were ready for us and spacious. Jan and Diana were there that weekend and very kind, helping out whenever we needed - they got us dish soap which we had forgotten, offered that we use veggies from their garden etc. We ordered the breakfast which turned out to be an excellent brunch.

What an incredible and unexpected local find! Our stay at this luxury farm was truly one-of-a-kind. From the moment we arrived via long wooden driveway we were welcomed with genuine warmth. Next morning we ordered breakfast but it turns more like lunch , and that was fantastic , if you are Eastern European please go there for real home made tvarog and real sour cream , milk with cream on top, can’t believe it’s still possible to find. We got 3 kinds of tea with 4 options for sugaring , 3 kinds of honey , all organica /GMOs free item , with home made 3 kinds of beads. That lunch was true luxury gourmet pleasure not just meal . Every foodie should go there just to have that experience)). The property itself is a nature lover’s paradise — with an astonishing variety of rare bird breeds roaming freely, including vibrant peacocks that added a magical touch to the scenery. Alongside them were friendly goose , goats and other farm animals, creating a peaceful, countryside charm that both adults and children would adore. 17 min to ocean The accommodations were spotless, with all brand-new, thoughtfully selected items for a comfortable night’s sleep but bring our bedding /piloows This isn’t your ordinary farm stay; it’s a unique experience blending nature, culture, and quiet luxury. Stayed here for one night with a buddy and our four girls, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The girls had an absolute blast—especially playing with the adorable puppies, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, and hanging out in the spacious tent. The site was comfortable, well set up, and perfect for a quick escape. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend!

When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here. We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same. It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property. We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped. We have great blue heron and eagles and otter and hawk and deer and owl and all sorts of critters and flora here with us. This is country. 53 miles north of NYC in the Croton-Harmon Watershed District. Learn more about this land: We are on the north side of Nimham Mountain, complete with its firetower to climb and see the Hudson River Valley and its 1126 acres of NYS DEC Multiple Use Area of mountain bike & equestrian & hiking trails. Some of the only petrogylphs on the east coast are a 2 minute drive and a hike from here to Hawk Rock. The largest effigy of Buddha in the western hemisphere is nearby at 2020 Route 301, Town of Kent, at the American Association of Buddhists headquarters and open to the public 9am - 5pm with its' temple, library, schools, meditation rooms, monastery, grounds to walk, Kwan Yin koi pool, and a free meal on weekends.
