Additionally, we are about 45-90 minutes away from a variety of alternative adventures! My husband and I traveled from Maryland to Colorado in our RV. He is an Army veteran from New York and I am originally from Colorado. I haven’t been home for Thanksgiving in years and this trip was especially meaningful because I was able to spend both my birthday and Thanksgiving with my family. It was truly such a blessing. This May we officially become empty nesters with our youngest of four heading off to college so being able to come home this year felt even more special. We had a wonderful stay. It felt so nice to be home again. The view of the mountains filled my heart with so much love and joy. The blue sky was absolutely stunning and the night sky lit up with incredible stars. I even saw a shooting star. It was breathtaking. JC and his wife were incredibly accommodating and generous to allow us to occupy their space during a holiday and I am forever grateful for their kindness. The location is perfect and makes it easy to get to everything. From one Coloradan to another, thank you so much. ❤️

Tim and Lori were amazing hosts! They greeted us at the gate upon arrival and drove us to our site. Lori gave us homemade chocolate chip cookies, doggie bags with treats, a goodie bag for my kids to play with and fish food! They were available whenever we had any questions. The property is beautiful and spot 4 was the perfect spot for my family of 5 and our 2 dogs! We absolutely recommend this camp and 100% plan to come and stay again!

We absolutely love this Hipcamp. We are grateful to have stayed at this Hipcamp a few times and you can see the owner’s pride in their land as they continue to improve the property. The land is gorgeous, it is easy to get to in your vehicle, and it is quiet. While we did not plan to use the tent on property, we did notice that it was locked with cables to the floor, so we assumed that was not for our use. We did take advantage of setting up our camp chairs on the lower open platform. Beautiful view!

This is an amazing property. We came once before in July this year, and decided to invite our friends who brought their daughter (our daughters best friend, and our 4 year old sons favorite person) for her first camping trip. We had the area around the pond to ourselves, the girls (both 8 years old) had a magical time. All of us grownups had a great time too. The goodies for the kids and our dog were so much fun. We realized we dont really need to bring anything to entertain our kids next time. The place was fascinating to them. At one point the girls jumped into the pond together, it was truly an adventure! The kids are begging us to stay there a month next time.... if only that were feasible! We also took a hike up a hill to see one of their other campgrounds. It was amazing, although I'm not sure our car would make the trek. I love this place, it is such a gift that Tim and Lori have chosen to share their beautiful property so that families can have a much needed retreat. I cant wait to go back next year.

Tim and Lori were fantastic hosts. They meet us when we arrived and explained everything we need to know. They also gave us some fantastic cookies and doggie treats making us feel very welcome. They gave us our space to enjoy their beautiful property. Amazing how beautiful the sun rise was coming up over the mountains. We had a young dog with us and it was his first time off leash to run and explore. It was a wonderful site to see him so happy. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay here! The campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet — perfect for a relaxing weekend. Our kids loved climbing and playing on the rocks, and the tire swing was a big hit. The hosts left thoughtful touches like fire pit pokers, which made things easier. The space is huge — perfect for just our family of four (plus our dogs), but it could easily accommodate a much larger group. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping spot.

This was one of the most peaceful and beautiful campsites I have ever been to. Tim and Lori are very good hosts, they have thought of everything to make this a wonderful retreat, which is quite an art. Even the bathroom and the trash can were well thought out. The kids really loved gazing into the pond and observing all the wildlife. Our dog was the happiest he had ever been getting to run around our campsite and circle the pond with the kids. We will be back! A side note: We did a fancy weeklong trip to Disney World a few months ago..... Camp Penguin was hands down our favorite trip this year.

Fetlock Circle is surrounded by mountains, ridges, and forested slopes with panoramic views. The property is one mile off Teller 1. The driveway is a gentle 200-foot incline leading to the campsite along the east side of the barn. From there, you can see Dome Rock—a massive pink granite monolith—and Pikes Peak. To the north, there are beautiful rock outcroppings; southwest views include Mt. Pisgah and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Mount Crystal rises in the west. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, and the low light pollution makes for incredible stargazing. On the western slope, you’ll find a meditation tree where you’re welcome to sit and reflect. A picnic table is also provided for your use. Evergreen Station, located at the corner of the entrance to Ranch Resorts, offers Wi-Fi, gas, propane, and sundries. Guests can relax around our small pond or roam freely around our 35-acre property. There is both hiking and fishing at Badger Creek only a short drive away. Waugh Mountain State Trust Land is another hiking option and is also just a short drive up the road (*NOTE: the State of Colorado now requires a valid hunting/fishing license to access state trust lands)! Additionally, we are about 45-90 minutes away from a variety of alternative adventures!
