Firewood is available to purchase nearby in Colorado City at Ace Hardware and others.
You will have your choice of Camp site #1 and/or #2. They have flat mulched areas for an RV/Camper or for tent camping. Each has a fire ring and picnic table. Both sites allow room to turn around an RV or camper. Bring your own toilet for now. There is minimal shade available, so plan accordingly. Potable water is available at the blue ground hydrant in front of the little cabin to the west. It takes about 10 seconds to start running.
Use of firearms is prohibited. No fireworks are allowed.
Quiet time is after 10:00 p.m. Please be respectful of neighboring properties. remember you are on a hilltop so sound can travel :)

- Although we are only forty miles from the Sand Dunes park, it is a four hour drive to get there, so maybe not the best area to stay if the dunes are on your list.
- Days in the summer can get pretty hot and shade is hard to come by, so plan a day trip to Florence river park, (about 30 minutes drive)and hop in the Arkansas river and cool off.

There is a large wood stove inside to keep you warm all night long during all four seasons. The tent can easily accommodate up to 8 people. There is 1 twin over full bunk bed, 1 full size bed, and 1 futon. There is one more additional mattress and bed-frame under the bunk bed for additional sleeping (some minor furniture rearranging is required to make space for the additional bed). Other vehicles may need to slow down and take it easy through some potentially rough areas.

You will have your choice of Camp site #1 and/or #2. They have flat mulched areas for an RV/Camper or for tent camping. Each has a fire ring and picnic table. Both sites allow room to turn around an RV or camper. Bring your own toilet for now. There is minimal shade available, so plan accordingly. Potable water is available at the blue ground hydrant in front of the little cabin to the west. It takes about 10 seconds to start running.
Use of firearms is prohibited. No fireworks are allowed.
Quiet time is after 10:00 p.m. Please be respectful of neighboring properties. remember you are on a hilltop so sound can travel :)

- Although we are only forty miles from the Sand Dunes park, it is a four hour drive to get there, so maybe not the best area to stay if the dunes are on your list.
- Days in the summer can get pretty hot and shade is hard to come by, so plan a day trip to Florence river park, (about 30 minutes drive)and hop in the Arkansas river and cool off.

Located on 3 acres of land, this private campsite features a large 16x20 canvas walled tent with a covered deck. There is a large wood stove inside to keep you warm all night long during all four seasons. The tent can easily accommodate up to 8 people. There is 1 twin over full bunk bed, 1 full size bed, and 1 futon. There is one more additional mattress and bed-frame under the bunk bed for additional sleeping (some minor furniture rearranging is required to make space for the additional bed). Owner will communicate with you to make sure this is a good fit before owner accepts the reservation. Allow time for that in the reservation process. On Holiday Weekends, only three day reservations will be accepted. Other vehicles may need to slow down and take it easy through some potentially rough areas.

This was such a cool place to stay. All of the people who worked/volunteered there were so helpful and down to earth. The facilities were clean and the "backyard" was a nice big space that my dog could play in. I really recommend if you need a place to stay.

The ground was slightly slanted so plan for that according. It is in a well lit area so we felt safe and the views from the spot were pretty baller.

This is as advertised. It's a convenient place to park for the night. I felt safe and it was near to the Red Rocks hiking area so a nice walk in the morning is minutes away. It isn't "pretty" but it was flat and safe. The owner was responsive and helpful.

I travel for work in my small camper and stay here every now and then for quick overnight stops. It is always a great place to land. Quiet, peaceful, and calm every time. The operators are consistently responsive and kind, which I really appreciate. I am very grateful for this spot.

This is a great spot within 10 minutes of I25 and 5 minutes from a solid disc golf course :). Very nice private hilltop and I think it’s made its way into my migration route 🚐🫶

Perfect spot for the night. You’re literally in front of Red Rock Canyon, nice surprise to wake up to! Felt safe. There was a street light on all night, but didn’t bother us too much with blackout curtains. Would recommend.

We love seclusion when we get away and this was exactly what we were looking for! Accurate descriptions: off grid, clean cabin. Need high clearance vehicle to access. We left it better for the next camper!

It's a nice quiet spot off the beaten path. Dan is a great host. This isn't an RV park with full hook-ups or anything. But there's a nice view of the surrounding hills and a cattle pen with cows and some chickens. A great place to park and take a break for a night or two.

It was a great place to sleep for the night. Definitely felt safe. I travel with my dog who is alert at every noise. I was aware of the tour busses on the weekends…apparently my dog was not. They were great! If you are a person who travels alone this is an awesome place to stay for a wonderful price. If we are coming through again I will absolutely pick this spot.

This is a warm and welcoming hostel in a motel setting. Great communal spaces. Happy, friendly staff and guests. What's not to love? For Van Campers, there are a few small spaces that can be a tight fit to squeeze into if you're over 20' long.

This was a great place and I’m definitely coming back! We were just passing through so we did t get to take advantage of all the cool stuff they offer. They did have a dinner which was very good and we met some new people.

We brought out wolf pup 16bhsbl travel trailer out to camps the site is huge with plenty of space for 2-3 other families. The directions were easy to follow, however there was one sign that was missing as per the written instructions. One of our party members missed the gate because of the missing sign.
The entrance to the camp sign was a little rutted out and you should feel comfortable off roading with a trailer.
