Tucked up close to Pikes Peak in all her glory! No one else around you! 100%  Nature.  You, STARS, deer, elk, eagles. Sleep in the cabin or under the stars in your tent. Your choice. Where is this? Convenient from Denver and Colorado Springs. Approx 50 miles (75 min) from I-25 and Hwy 24 in Colorado Springs. Approx 30 miles from Mueller State Park. South of Florissant National Fossil Beds and NE of Canon City.  Details: 100+ acres of private land that borders BLM so hundreds of additional acres available with amazing views of the west side of Pikes Peak. **I've been a HipCamp host for years, but I took a break to care for family so there's a brief time gap in reviews. Voted a Top HipCamp Colorado Site in 2018.** Cabin: Sleeps 5. Small hunting cabin that can sleep two in twin beds down stairs, 3 twin beds upstairs, couch opens to a sleeper if more beds are needed. Carry in your own water and propane for camping stove. No well; no power. Total "primitive" cabin; you have a roof, windows, wood stove, cookware and tableware, simple yet clean cabin, counter tops and cook stove available. Owner will communicate with you to make sure this is a good fit before owner accepts the reservation. Allow time for that in the reservation process.    On Holiday Weekends, only three day reservations will be accepted. Bring your food, water, fuel for the camper stove,  paper products, and camera and leave with a full heart and great time in the mountains! **NO DOGS ALLOWED**Most private adventure tucked up close to Pikes Peak in all her glory! No one else around you! 100%  Nature.  You, stars, deer, elk, eagles (yes, they have a nest on the property).... alone!   Sleep in the cabin or under the stars in your tent. Your choice. Where is this? South of Florissant National Fossil Beds and NE of Canon City.  On the back side of Pikes Peak and above the Arkansas River is where three county boundaries meet, Teller, Park, and Fremont. Remote. Quiet. Cripple Creek and the west side of Pikes Peak nearby, star filled nights, ponderosa pine trees surrounding you. Maybe you've escaped Denver or Colorado Springs to hike near Cripple Creek. Or maybe you want to explore the Florissant Fossil Beds (30 min east) or climb Mount Piscah. Have you planned a get-away to the Royal Gorge, Guffey Gorge, float or fish the Arkansas River (40 min west)? Or do you want time to yourself for spiritual renewal, thinking, writing, sleeping?
