Campsite 5 is on the left side of the driveway approximately 100 yards from the entry. Campsite 5 is between campsites 3 and 6. It is across from the petting zoo where you will see donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We have one rooster in the petting zoo so you won't need to bring your alarm clock. Lol

Weekend Trip to Standiford Goat and Equine Ranch

It was a beautiful campsite. Fairly level with plenty of space for my trailer and tow vehicle. The goats, donkeys, and horses were such a treat. We also had wild turkeys at the campsite which was fun. The views were spectacular. It was a breezy the one day we were there, but that isn't uncommon for Colorado in April.

Weekend Trip to Paint Mine Paradise

I loved camping on Jamie’s land near the Painted Mines! They have a great property with a nice camp spot to park your vehicle and set up a tent. We had a Gazelle Overland Tent that fit perfectly along with our camp toilet with privacy pop up tent. I had my 4 year old border collie/cattle dog mix with me so it was an absolute JOY to camp here with their family dogs. My dog loved playing chase with them and the small patches of snow he could army crawl in. The land is nice and flat so no need to worry about leveling off anything. Cold and fresh water available by the chickens. I was able to fill up my 5 gallon Jerrycan for the stay which was super convenient! The hosts are very hospitable and a joy to coordinate and communicate with. Definitely recommend this Hipcamp to fellow travelers!

The treehouse was amazing! Beautiful area with a window overlooking such a beautiful landscape. The alpacas and dogs were so friendly. Overall just an amazing experience. Would highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at Bob’s cabin was amazing! He was attentive to every detail, from chopping us some firewood, to messaging us the morning of our arrival to provide clear instructions on how to get to the property, as well as giving recommendations on attractions in the area. the property was very clean, well attended and close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away to feel secluded. the listing does say that there is both a jacuzzi tub and a hot tub, however there is only a jacuzzi tub inside, which was more than enough for us! the area was absolutely breathtaking and we look forward to returning one day! Bob was an amazing host and we definitely recommend this stay!

You will meet our beautiful alpacas and Nubian goats that we have for milk, weed control and just because they make us happy, as well as a flock of laying chickens for fresh eggs. We have a variety of gardens and a year-round geodesic dome greenhouse that provides us with fresh produce. This is a quiet country setting. There are many popular and diverse activity sites less than an hour away. Come escape the hustle and bustle of home, and enjoy the beauty of nature and our loving animals. We offer both tent and RV listings to suit however you like to travel. We have a hot shower, bathroom, picnic tables, potable water, and trash and recycle bins. Our RV listing has both 20 and 30 amp electrical hookup but no water or sewer hookups. Our guests love us too! "We had an amazing time here! Diane is so sweet and showed us all of their beautiful friendly animals and plants when we arrived and even offered fresh goat milk and a plant starter! The land was gorgeous and we got to watch adorable goats from our tent. One of my favorite camping experiences ever!"

Woodland Park, CO, is a charming mountain town with plenty to offer! Off coarse dogs are allowed. Off leash if they are not aggressive towards other dogs. We prefer to have a RV/Van camping. You could add a tent to your group for additional cost. Must have your own toilet. Either in RV/Van or provide your own camping toilet. Camping toilet bags can be thrown own in dumpster in back or we do have a dump spot you can drop off once you are ready to check out your RV/Van. The property was once owned by Ute Indians who later sold it, at which time it became a Hippie camp and later a family home/ranch. We can’t wait to meet you and help you have the true Colorado experience. You will love the country feel while being walking distance to Woodland Park and have the amenities of 50 amp electric, WiFi, water (not for drinking), picnic table, chairs, mini grill, hammock, porta potty, gray water dump at site, propane fire pit (guests bring their own propane) and access to black water dump if needed. $15 black dump fee for bookings less than 1 week, otherwise 1 free black water dump per week. Pets must be on a leash at all times and pets and children are never to be left unattended for any period of time.

Located 2.5 miles from the famous Paint Mines Interpretive Park and Trails and 4 miles from the El Paso County Fairgrounds that hold many events all summer long. The town of Calhan is just 4 miles north of this property. There, you will find the local grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, and dollar store for any of your needs. Enjoy seclusion and beautiful views of the rolling hillside and wildlife all while being sheltered amongst our mature trees. All of our campsites are tucked in the trees to give you privacy and shelter from the Colorado breeze. Bring your bikes and ride to the paint mines or explore the property on our trails and stay close. We have the best tasting well water so feel free to fill up your water jugs at the hydrant closest to the chicken coops!! Come see our dream in the works and soak up some serenity! Dogs are welcome, however they must be dog friendly, trained and well behaved. They are free to roam but chasing calves and causing trouble with other animals will not be tolerated. We also have dogs, but will do our best to have them put up when you arrive with adequate communication about you ETA . No bathroom facilities at the moment. Also, no fires unless approved by us! When you arrive, we will happily check you in and direct you to your camp site. Please feel free to ask us about anything you may need, but we will not bother you otherwise! We hope to see you soon! I bought this land to move from HoustonLearn more about this land:I widened the gate and moved my mailbox for easier access. Butane fire rings allowed on private property during a fire ban . Camp anywhere on 60 acres. In one direction there are rolling meadow. Another rocky outcropping. Look to the south and you’ll see the BLM land that shares my fence line. If you want access to town you’re there. You choose how you want to feel. In the woods, in the forest, on huge rocks, flat land or turn around and see CR 1 ( 1/4 mile driveway). Forty five minutes west of Colorado Springs, ten miles to Divide for grocers. One half mile to ice, gas, pizza etc. It is first come first serve with the sites. Two that are near trees for large RVs. One up higher works for pull thru trailers. Plenty of room in the pasture. I just got my first negative review referring to it being dry prairie land. Some pictures are from late last summer.. We haven’t had enough rain yet for it to green up. Also it can be windy.

Harmony Ridge Farm

We would come out and camp on weekends and soon built a small cabin from reclaimed materials. This barn style cabin is available to our tent camper when the weather is inclement so you can relax outside your tent...The west side opens up onto a deck with picnic table to provide sun/rain shad In 2012 we were given a 12x20 ft addition to a mobile home that formed the basis of "the cottage" that we lived in "little house on the prairie" style for 2 years while we built our home from trees my husband cut down and processed on his portable sawmill. It took 2 years to build our home with the help of our 15 year old grandson and his friend who were taking a construction technology class for their homeschooling education. Other friends and family helped on occasion and we were finally able to move in just before Christmas 2014. In 2019 we started with Hipcamp providing rustic campsites and our little cottage. in 2021 our son moved into the cottage which made it unavailable for campers so this past year we got another bright idea and the "Tree House" was conceived and built! Come enjoy the incredible view from this little house in the trees! Queen sized bed, (you provide the bedding), camp chef propane stove (outdoors) and tiny wood burning stove inside to take off the morning chill! We sold the sawmill to our architect who is building his own home in Wyoming. What do we do with the large awning we put over the sawmill? How about another small cabin? This is a very rustic cabin with no real amenities other than two bed platforms where you must provide your mattress and sleeping bags. The bunk has a unique ladder and the views of Pikes Peak are awesome! Enjoy the gentle humming of the alpaca's as they greet you in the mornings or whenever. Our 9 alpaca's are friendly and very curious. The boys enjoy showing their stuff whenever we have guests! Come and get acquainted. We also have two guard dogs; 3 cats and 4 kitties--soon to be leaving; one rooster, 13 chickens. The sounds of the birds, cows in the meadow, early morning visits from the local deer and antelope herds; a star studded night sky while the trees whisper you to sleep at night . Incredible views of Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans on a clear day. Beautiful Colorado Sunrises and Sunsets! We hope for green pastures and wildflowers this spring/summer! Relax and read; play a few rounds of horse shoes; take a nice long walk around the perimeter of the property and get your miles in...

Learn more about this land:We have almost 40 acres of beautiful land that is scattered trees in a field and more forested areas. We also have mountain views depending on where you stay! We are right next door to the Pineries Open Space which is a 9 mile trail that you can hike, bike, or horse ride on. It also connects (by crossing a road) to Section 16 which is another 4 mile trail. You can bring your own horses and for a $50 fee we will set up corral panels for your horses to stay. We have farm animals that will be wondering about the land at times. We have water up at our home that you can use to fill up your campers with water or any water containers you need to fill. A camp bucket toilet will be available for campers use. At certain times we offer farm experiences at additional charges. There is a small corner store a couple of miles away, a local feed store where you can buy hay for tour horses, a little local coffee shop and small cafe as well. Come enjoy the country life just minutes from town! Because we also use our land to graze our animals, we ask that only one vehicle be parked at the site at a time. We have a place for parking additional vehicles if you have more than 1 vehicle.

Cottonwood Camp

Open May through October. This secluded, 2-acre campsite is the only place between the Royal Gorge and Lake Pueblo where you can fish and camp right on the banks of the Arkansas River. Accessible by watercraft only, you cannot drive to it or hike to it—you can only boat to it. There is no public road access to the camp. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN WATERCRAFT. Access to the campsite requires your own boat. There are no direct roads for you take. You will be our only guests at this private riverfront location—no one else vying for the trout…no one’s boom box disturbing your sleep…no swimmers disturbing the fish. Note: We’re open May through October, and during those months, we might have to close temporarily for safety reasons when river flow-rates exceed 1,300 cfs (cubic feet per second). If we need to close when you have a reservation and you can’t change your date, we will notify you of the closure and refund your money.
