We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raise alpaca’s, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his sawmill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house and this cottage is now available to rent. Water is available outside and the outhouse is just a few steps away. It comes equipped with a woodturning stove you can use to cook on. We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away. Across the gulley is the new Sawmill Cabin built under the canopy of Jim's sawmill. It is small, and can sleep 3 with a unique bunk over a queen sized platform bed. A small deck, fire pit all under a covered open space. More kids? Bring a tent! there’s room! Numerous tent sites are available all within easy walking to your car. An outhouse is close by. We love sharing our story and our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp; and relax. Watch and listen to the birds, deer and antelope really do play here two little fawns were chasing each other through the gully just this morning. We are blessed beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night and an added bonus is our Farm Store where we showcase products made from our alpaca's, and trees my husband has cut down... !

Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. Our family-owned noncommercial ranch/campground nestled against the Raspberry ButIt is a working ranch with several horses, donkeys, goats, and dogs. Due to the fire risks in our area there are NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED which includes propane fires Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses and located directly behind the campsites. In addition, we have lots of wildlife including but not limited to: Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Snakes, and Bears. We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur between Spruce Mountain Road and Perry Park Road. (Please note Google Maps will try and send you to a location on Perry Park Road which is incorrect. Please refer to the map located on this website.) Due to our remote location, we have spotty Wifi. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and . Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. Just got back from an incredible stay at this A-Frame, and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The cabin itself is cozy, beautifully designed, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway, which is exactly what you want when you escape into the outdoors. But what truly made the trip stand out was the host, Stephanie. She was absolutely amazing. Her communication was quick and friendly, she gave clear directions, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests’ experience. The location was perfect for a quiet weekend of camping vibes mixed with cabin comfort. Whether we were relaxing on the deck, enjoying the view, or winding down inside after a day of exploring, it all felt like the ideal getaway. Highly recommend staying here! We’ll definitely be back!

We took advantage of late season warm weather and spent 2 nights at Rockridge. It did turn windy and cool but we enjoyed the solitude. Gorgeous view of Pikes Peak. I was able to walk my dog all over Carol’s horse pasture. Note that the 3 campsites are fairly close together. Google maps took us right to Carols land - campsites are marked by short pink flags on the left side of her driveway once you have entered the property.

Our second annual father/son camping trip was a huge success. We had the whole property to ourselves. Each year our favorite part is exploring the boulders at the top of the property. The dozen or so turkeys that wandered through the property was the icing on the cake!

Beautiful views and very peaceful. We had a great time at Carol’s property. It was perfect for a short getaway from home. Very close to many attractions yet far enough away to feel secluded. Weekend Trip to Sunrise Campsites
We had an amazing time staying at the cabin. The cabin was well stocked with propane and water, and the power station looked very nice too! The cabin itself is very cute, comfortable, has a fantastic view, and definitely feels private and secluded from the rest of the grounds. Stephanie was extremely responsive and eager to help, and was able to secure a sturdy ladder for us to get to the bed mere minutes after the request. The cabin definitely still has some construction items remaining, but is more than finished enough to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overall my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and will most definitely be coming back next year!!

My family and I loved camping at Stephanie's Sunrise Campsite. We chose Site 1 from the reviews and it didn't disappoint. It was private and had spectacular views. The bathroom facility was clean and was thoughtfully stocked. We even had a surprise visitor in the morning, a majestic buck exploring. We would love to come back again in the spring.

Campsite 5 is on the left side of the driveway approximately 100 yards from the entry. Campsite 5 is between campsites 3 and 6. It is across from the petting zoo where you will see donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We have one rooster in the petting zoo so you won't need to bring your alarm clock. Lol

This site was lovely. We need a location close to Denver to be able to run back and forth with kids sports and this location proved great for this. The kids loved being able to interact with the goats, donkey's and horses. The host was very responsive to our inquiries. The location was in close proximity to Palmer Lake, which we loved. All-in-all a good time.

Great spot close to the city but it feels like you are in the middle of a Forrest. There were some planes you could hear from the airforce base nearby, but I'm not sure if that is a regular occurrence or one time thing.
