A few important notes:
Dogs are welcome, but they must be well-trained, friendly, and respectful of other animals. They’re free to roam, but chasing calves or causing trouble with livestock will not be tolerated. We have our own dogs and will do our best to keep them secured with advance notice of your estimated arrival time.
No bathroom facilities are available.
Campfires are not permitted unless explicitly approved by us.
Upon arrival, we’ll happily check you in and show you to your campsite. We’ll be available if you need anything, but we won’t disturb your peace otherwise.

We have almost 40 acres of beautiful land that is scattered trees in a field and more forested areas. We also have mountain views depending on where you stay! We are right next door to the Pineries Open Space which is a 9 mile trail that you can hike, bike, or horse ride on. It also connects (by crossing a road) to Section 16 which is another 4 mile trail. You can bring your own horses and for a $50 fee we will set up corral panels for your horses to stay. We have farm animals that will be wondering about the land at times. We have water up at our home that you can use to fill up your campers with water or any water containers you need to fill. The park, that you would have a gate to walk through that connects to our property, has a vault toilet. At certain times we offer farm experiences at additional charges. There is a small corner store a couple of miles away, a local feed store where you can buy hay for tour horses, a little local coffee shop and small cafe as well. Come enjoy the country life just minutes from town!
Because we also use our land to graze our animals, we ask that only one vehicle be parked at the site at a time. We have a place for parking additional vehicles if you have more than 1 vehicle.

We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead that was sold to a developer who is selling acreage from 35 - 500 acre parcels. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans are all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raised alpaca’s until recently, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his sawmill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house. We have numerous camping spots available in a small grove of Ponderosa Pines or on the plains if you want a clear view of the stars at night! A rustic outhouse is available close by as is a water hydrant. Parking is available close by.
We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2on a queen size built in bed) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away.
We love sharing our story, our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp and relax. Watch and listen to the birds; the deer and antelope really do play here. Just this morning two little fawns were chasing each other through the gully. We are blessed with beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night and an added bonus is our Farm Store where we showcase products made from our alpaca's, and trees my husband has cut down... !

This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Gnome room in the "pop-up" tent and cots (during the Summer months). We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... This space was perfect for what we needed. It was nice to be close to the town but also felt like we were actually camping. Our camper fit great in the space provided and the pull through made it easy to maneuver. The host was easy to work with and so helpful. She went out of her way to recommend things to do in Colorado Springs! She was lovely. Highly recommend!
In case you can’t tell, the owner’s house is very close, and there is a small cabin they rent out as well. The fire-pit is a communal space. There was no other campers using her land when we visited so it felt like our own, I am not sure I would have liked it as much if there were other random campers hanging out around the fire-pit roasting marshmallows with my family and I.

This was EXACTLY the weekend getaway I was hoping for with my 2 kiddos. The setup was simple yet had all the little amenities you'd need to make it a super easy packing trip. The yurt tent itself was perfect for the 3 of us. There was a cot and mattress pad for my boys, we just brought their sleeping bags, pillow, and blanket. The queen mattress was comfortable and even had a heated feature which was lovely! There was a small fridge/cooler, charge station, hot water pot, Keurig coffee, and a large water pitcher that lasted us all weekend. Outside the tent there were chairs, a table, a propane gas fit pit for roasting marshmallows, and a tree hammock which my boys loved. Right next to the tent was a dry bathroom that was interesting to use but worked fine for our needs. Nice to have something close. Waking up to the sounds of birds was so relaxing. We took a walk around the property and got to say hello to all the different animals. 10mins away is Elizabeth with a Safeway and some restaurants and 20mins away is Parker with a larger plethora of food options. George and Candice were gracious and responsive hosts who do great work for these animals. I cannot recommend their glamping site enough for anyone who wants a stress free experience out in nature!

Sarah was able to accommodate us with two long trailers at the Chestnut site. We parked facing out to make leaving an easy straight shot out. Level and grassy with a pretty view of the infield pond and trees. The night sounds of the pond were lovely, frogs, an owl and surprisingly a loon. We were attending a nearby driving event with our miniature horses, and they happily stabled overnight in the horse trailer. You will have to negotiate two right angle turns at the entrance, but if you are familiar with driving a long rig you will manage. We had a 31' bumper pull and a 30' gooseneck.

They provide the option to see the animals, which turned out to be one none of the highlights of our trip! Jenna was very responsive and also offered a lot of great suggestions of things to see and do in the local community. There’s a flat gravel parking spot perfect for RVs and it is extremely private. It’s also walking distance to the Pineries park (great for hiking and bike riding!). Super cool couple, we’d visit again!

With pets
We enjoyed our stay on Mike and Holly’s land. The space was big enough for our Class A and the spot was pretty level. Our kids enjoyed the wooded area with the hammock and a little cabin. We appreciated the set up with picnic tables and a few chairs we could lounge in without having to drag out all our stuff. It was peaceful in the morning and quiet enough we could hear the birds. It was much better than staying in a typical RV park with everyone so close together. We would definitely consider staying again in the future.

Kyle does still own the property and was very helpful when I called, worried after I saw the review that he didn’t. It’s just as described, a plot of land to camp on without amenities. Price seemed a little steep for just a place to park, but there are not many options in the area so I was glad to have a quiet place to rest.

I recently stayed at Yakalo Ranch Pipeline Camp and absolutely loved it. The site is beautiful, quiet, and incredibly peaceful. There’s a gorgeous creek running right by the tent site that made the whole experience feel relaxing and secluded.
The camp is about 7 miles up the mountain, so it feels far enough away to really disconnect and enjoy nature, while still being accessible. My dogs had the absolute time of their lives exploring, splashing around, and enjoying all the open space.
It was the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and just enjoy the outdoors for a while. We’ll definitely be back.

It's nice for what it is. Great for camping in a pinch on the Eastern side of I25 front range. Beautiful view of mountains in a rural front range setting. My husband was stoked on all the birds (inc some rare species!!) Great open sky views. Our dogs loved the open meadow to run. The horses were beautiful and had predictable patterns so could see them coming in from another field and then leaving to allow us the opportunity to wrangle dogs easily. It is surrounded by other ranches/homes so not as private as we would prefer. But nice property.
