Rockridge Ranch

Carol was welcoming, communicative, kind and concerned (severe thunderstorms came through the area). We enjoyed the beautiful natural landscape and cute little creatures (a dragonfly came right up to me)! There are trees to park next to for shelter. We embraced the rain and the fresh after rain aroma in the air. It was a lovely trip!

Great overlook, expansive views

Such an incredibly beautiful site, and responsive host. The expansive views and peaceful solitude are unforgettable. Our rig handled the terrain well—we really liked that the sites weren’t “developed” allowing us to enjoy nature, including the several hawks nearby. It was nice to be able to refill the water tank before moving on, as well.

Pros: very nice views. Relatively quite Cons: Not particularly level. Extremely windy for two days straight. Small cacti throughout the campsite, so not good for dogs. Unresponsive host.

Perfect spot and beautiful sunset

Carol’s land offered killer views of the Colorado country and distant mountain range. Absolutely beautiful sunset and serene night. We pulled our teardrop onto a plateau of rocks and enjoyed incredible solitude. One of the best Hipcamp sites we’ve been to. When you first pull in there is a lot of farming equipment but Carol lets you pitch camp anywhere you want. I recommend the rocks if you have a tent or 4WD and capable camper. Carol also brought us cookies! She was very welcoming and kind.

amazing getaway!

Amazing location in the Colorado "lowlands," pastures as far as the eye can see, (usually) snowcapped mountains on the horizon. You'd never guess Denver was less than an hour away.

Carol's place was easy to locate, I was the only one there and it was very beautiful and peaceful, the view and sunset was gorgeous! Lots of birds, including friendly Hummingbirds and cows in the morning! Just lovely! Very natural, peaceful weekend!! I would recommend and come back again! Thank you Carol

Overall, I did enjoy my stay and there is some beautiful scenery. However, when I arrived, neither the property nor the campsite I booked have any sign marking them. Carol wasn't there when I arrived, so I sent her a message through Hipcamp and never heard back. I ended up setting up my camp where I assumed my site was, based on the pictures and one other previous camper mentioning pink flags in their review. It's also worth mentioning that open on the other side of this campsite is an open workyard area with old vehicles and other things. No one was there working during my trip, so it didn't bother me, but it would have been nice to know about.

I loved your views and the spot was really peaceful. Was unable to go anywhere on foot for a walk as neighbors dogs were fairly aggressive and entering the road.

Quiet, peaceful, scenic

My first Hipcamp reservation was outstanding! Carol was not at the property when I arrived, but the app allowed us to communicate easily. She has her campsites well marked with pink flags and parking was a breeze. After setting up camp, my dog and I walked around the property and got some wonderful photos. The views are so scenic and the sunset was spectacular. Pick this spot if you're looking for quiet, peaceful relaxation not to far from Denver.

We had a fantastic 1 night stay in the cold! It got a little windy overnight, but our site was tucked between some trees so we had no issues. The site was super easy to get to. Carol was easy to reach and told us that the pink flags are the site markers. There's a spigot for water, and we do suggest brining your own chairs etc. We had full bars on our phones. Our only downside was traffic noise from the highway, but it was quiet by 9 pm. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. We'll be back if we can!

Great spot for farm land camping

Great spot for a quick trip outside of Denver. Carol the host was very responsive. Her location was a little tight for a 43ft fifth wheel and a 34 ft camper but we made it work. Great spot for an out dogs to run, stars were beautiful, moon was awesome. Will definitely be back. Thanks Carol for being a great host.

Took our Money no site existed

We made reservations for 2 people on 7/22 - 7/23 with Rockridge and were told we would have the sites address sent to us on Saturday via text from Carol Bradley. We left at 830a with a a full tank of gas and little over 2 hour drive to get to Rockridge. 9 hours later and spending $186 additional dollars 125.00 for the last hotel room in Colorado Springs because all others in Elbert, Larkspur and the Springs were full due to the Renaissance festival. We had to spend $61.00 for 1 1/2 tanks of gas we had to fill up due to all the driving trying to find Rockridge. We contacted Carole 3 TIMES requesting an address explaing she never sent it to as as she said. Her first response was only that she had only one other set of campers so just notify her when we got to the steel cattle guard and she'd show us our location. When we tried to text her back to say we needed her address the text came up as unble to find. We went as far as speaking to the local Police, people at the Seventh Adventist Church, people in the town of Elber, Franktown and at the fire department. None of these people knew who she was, what or where Rockridge was or if Carole Bradley existed. Finally we found a neighbor who recognized her picture from the Rockridge website, but even he did not know her address or where she was located ?!! We spent $227.00 dollars $186.00 fir all the additional costs listed above and the $41.00 Carole and HIPCAMP charged us. At 918 pm we got the address from Carole. Way too late

Great quick overnight stay, want to return for a few day stay. I missed the more secluded site but for what I came for, it was fine. Carol poked her head out the door ( I ended up just across from her house) asked if it would work for me and it did! Thank you again and I look forward to booking for an extended stay!

This land was beautiful. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the beautiful view of Pikes Peak, the green pastures, rock formations and horses. It was very peaceful and very memorable.
