Starting December 1, or first night below freezing we will be closing down Bath House and only access will be at outhouses. Only sites near outhouses will be open and there will be no access to water. Situated at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and bordering the Jefferson National Forest, Thunder BRidge has scenic, large, private tent sites and cabins in the woods for those who want to experience camping at its finest. Many of the sites border Elk Creek. Our RV sites are large, flat and at the edge of the forest in a well kept open green space. Our 100 acres was originally a camp built by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the "30s and early '40s, then a boys' juvenile detention center and Big Brothers'/Big Sisters' camp, which closed in 2009. The tent sites and cabins are in the forest, away from the buildings out front, but you're free to walk around and check out the historic site. Most of the buildings out front are artist studios (currently for 16 artists). We like to share the camp with others and watch it come back to life. All within a short driving distance are the Natural Bridge, wineries, breweries, Natural Bridge Zoo, Safari Park, Dinosaur Kingdom, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, James River, historic Lexington, Devil's Marbleyard, Glenwood Horse Trail, swimming holes, etc. We have river access 2 miles up the road if you'd like to fish or put your kayak or canoe in. Truly, there is something nearby for everyone. We'd be happy to give you recommendations of things to see and do. If you are a star gazer you won't be disappointed by our dark sky. We want to share our property with those who want to stay for more than one night, so we do not accept inquiries of single night stays.

Before you ask: Yes, we have two outdoor showers. Yes, you can use a propane camp stove or cook at our common area bbq in front of the barn where we light a real wood fire for campers to socialize with us, other campers and visit our speakeasy. Yes, we provide propane for the propane fire pits. Yes, your dog can run off-leash. Yes, each site has a picnic table, umbrella, propane fire pit. Most sites have a hammock and hammock stand. Please pack your trash out there is a dumpster at the front gate entrance/exit for your trash. Please close your umbrella when your not at the site, especially when it's windy. We have lost far to many very expensive solar light umbrellas due to the wind when it picks up. Please support our farm by buying eggs, hats, stickers, and other items, all for sale in the barn. We also offer glamping tents. With Sandy Ridge mountain bike trails within a mile, and over 40,000 sf of skateboard park, there is something for everyone. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras * We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Everything went great from arrival to departure. Location was easy to find using Google Maps and was clearly marked. Water and picnic table at the site was a huge plus! Showers and restrooms were clean. Easy 15 minutes into town or so. Star gazing and sunset Mountain views were amazing. Would recommend!

3 nights at Living Circle Farms Hawaii

It is beautiful and peaceful, site 1 is the most level, if you can't book there site 4 is a straight back in, site three is off to the side and hard to back into if you need rear up. These four sites are separated by a picnic table so, maybe 15 feet between them, with clean sightlines, you will see everyone in all four. The gentleman that greeted me moved me from 3 to 4 because we couldn't easily get a Chrysler Pacifica into 3. Shower and bathroom are clean and lovely. Some construction during the day as they are building a new cabin, some military flights at night on the third night. Couldn't hit the wifi from inside the van. Borrowed an extension cord, was putting out power, but not enough to charge my phone or use my laptop. Very friendly dogs and a duck. I would absolutely stay here again!

The privacy and peaceful silence made it the perfect relaxing escape. The mineral pools were incredible and left us feeling completely refreshed. This will definitely be our #1 getaway spot from now on! 🌿💦

The area is nice. The cove#2 was shaded which made is pleasant. There are other areas with better views if that's something you care about. There was a place to start a fire in each spot, which is ideal to have a camp fire and sit around it. There are restrooms and also showers. Restrooms are clean

We all loved camping at Sierra and Darin's land. It is a beautiful and quite serene area where groups of campers get quite a bit of privacy and space from others. The hosts are so kind, communicatice, and welcoming. We really enjoyed the welcome tour, learning about all the creative projects they have started to expand the services offered to campers. We will be going back and recommending to our friends and family.

This is an amazing campground outside of Jtree. We made last minute plans to camp & of course the national park was full. The campsites are clean, the little store/ check in area was stocked with all sorts of handy things and snacks - I forgot baby wipes, firewood and marshmallows and they had them. The ladies at check in were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean/pleasant and stocked. The showers were VERY nice! They exceeded my expectations. The lake/pond is serene filled with lots of cute ducks! There’s an off leash dog area. They close the gate after 9pm (but you can still get in and out as a guest). Overall I will definitely return here, as I often don’t plan my camping trips far enough in advance to book in the park haha. Thanks for an awesome stay!
