I was the first hip camper at this location. Amazing views of the valley below, farmland and ranches. During my stay, it was very windy and raining the first few days unfortunately so I didn’t get to see the views all the way to Sacramento until my last day. If you’re looking for quiet and remote away from town, this is your spot.
A few things to note and I’ve shared with Darwin the property owner:
-About a mile out the road in is gravel so it’s a bit bumpy but drivable for 2WD.
-the driveway up is also gravel until you get to the barn and then it’s paved. There is a bit of a bump at that spot where it transitions to paved so just be careful and go slow..
-once at the top, there is a nice space for I’d say up to a 25 foot trailer. Anything larger is going to have trouble turning around. There were some low hanging branches at the top of the driveway that hit the top of my trailer on my way up, but he trimmed them before I left, which was great.
-Darwin is very friendly and super helpful wanting to make sure my stay was a good one. He was kind enough to help me back in my trailer since it took a bit of maneuvering.
-there is a water spigot and he has an extension cord for 110v power.
He asked for suggestions, I gave him several like adding in a 30 amp outlet (summer heat for A/C) and he has the capability to put in a sewer drain closer to the parking spot. There is a proper drain, but it’s up against the house and there’s a pool fence to go through.

We had a nice weekend camping at Pond Bank Waterfront. The property was easy to find and access. We parked our trailer parallel to the pond so that we had a nice view of it. We were the only ones accessing the pond so that was nice. We were aware of neighbors across the pond but they are far enough away that it was no issue. We really enjoyed watching all of the birds come and go to the pond. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful!
We liked that the location of the property is so close to things to do during our stay. We spent the afternoon on Saturday checking out the Kennedy Mine and Kennedy Tailing Wheels. Fascinating. Walking around Sutter Creek was fun too.
The only issue we had were mosquitos which come any place with water. Just be prepared for them to come out an hour or so before sunset. We didn't have any issue with them during the day.

Having a private reservoir to unwind at was a lovely addition to our weekend away. We explored some local trails with our dog and then came to fish and relax by the resorvoir. There are some neighbors with animals that are chatty but that is to be expected out in the country. We took out the paddleboat and enjoyed hours relaxing on the land. Thanks James!

So peaceful and private .i didn’t see a soul the entire time.
The paddle boat was great and I appreciated the runner of artificial grass that was very soft
The pond is so refreshing and the sand beach .nice to lie on.
Note there is no picnic table but a glass table and a wooden stool, so as long as you have chairs it’s not an issue.
The gas grill does not work .
There is a large fire pit on wheels that will be awesome once the fire ban is lifted.
I even made a sweet duck friend! I’d come back just for him!

Great spot. Perfect to fish, boat and relax with friends. Outhouse was a welcome surprise. Site is definitely exposed and hot, but its location on the water cannot be beat. One thing to note; the reservoir isn’t completely private. Two or three other properties have access to the water, but no one came out during our stay. Will certainly be returning in the future!

One of our favorites. Second time staying. The best part about this is the solitude, no other people to deal with so our dog can roam free! The lake is so peaceful and the floating deck is beautiful to have a morning coffee. A great stay!

We loved having the pond to ourselves! The swings, paddle boat and canoe were added bonuses. There was a sufficient outhouse so we didn’t have to use our trailer potty.
The bbq had propane, a great fire ring and a lot of turf surrounding where we parked our camper.
We caught catfish and got bites from bass. We brought our 3 dogs and didn’t have to worry about anyone else or any other animals. They did each get a tick but not a big deal, we were able to get them off easily.

The area was very easy to find. Parking was a breeze . My dogs got their daily work outs swimming and running. Loved listening to the bull frogs and crickets. Used the paddle boat was fun.
