The land was purchased from the railroad in 1908 by Grandpa Coen when he immigrated to the USA after his service to the British Empire during WW1.
Grandpa established and maintained the vineyards during his life in California's Central Valley which he left to his daughter, Irene. We stay at Cheryl‘s vineyard over new year‘s eve. We needed a stay for the night spontaneously and were super happy, that Cheryl answered on our request so quickly. When we arrived we figured out, that we can‘t plug in the electricity hook up with our cable of the rental van and Cheryl offered us to park behind the shed to use the other hook up for her tractor. It was rainy and it was late and it was our second night with the van on new years, we are still thankful that she was available and helped us through the phone when we arrived! It‘s a super peaceful and quiet spot, exactly what we were looking for!

Get there before sunset, you won't want to miss it drop behind the vineyard. And although there is some light pollution the view of the stars is nothing like what you're used to in the city. I was a pain when I first arrived and bothered Cheryl and her husband with a few questions. Cheryl called me, even though it was their anniversary, to answer my questions. She and her husband, Randy, were so kind and helpful. I'm sorry again for interrupting your evening. This is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to stay. My husband and I highly recommend, even if only for a night. Hosts and vineyard are wonderful!

This is a prime spot. Dale and Mona have a beautiful place. As you drive down the driveway, the property is deceptive. When you venture behind the house, it opens onto a beautiful sandy beach area along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed talks on the dock, dips in the river, and the warmth of the sun and our host. Mona's place can accommodate RVs, tents, and those who like to glamp in one of the RVs on site.
